She couldn't have returned Ormr any sooner, the moment the serpent disappeared, jaws snapped over his previous location. A Carvanha flopped on the ground, desperately using Aqua Jet to keep moving and keep breathing. She remembered where the Muk broke through, where the Krookodile crunched through rubble. They must have provided a way for the fish to break through, and now it was in danger.

Her new partner was thrown out, a Servine that stood straight and refined, turning her nose at the chaos but still loyal to Kaida. "Be precise, Freki. I need our new family there to stand still." Her words were the release, and Freki darted forward, avoiding desperate snaps at the sudden approach, reared her tail back, and Slammed the Carvanha.

Perfect. Kaida swiftly flung another Pokeball at the immobilized fish.

The pokéball with his latest capture had, unfortunately, fallen into a puddle of sticky drool the Gloom had left behind. And boy, did it stink! At least, the Cyndaquil thought so. The poor little creature recoiled from the smell almost immediately after it had struck the Gloom with its Fire Wheel. Sigmund, however, seemed to be one out of a thousand people who actually liked the scent.

With a satisfying hum at the smell of it, he bent down to pick up the pokéball and wipe it clean with the end of his shirt. Or attempt to, anyway. He found that the stickiness was far too dry and stubborn to wipe away so easily. Eventually, he would simply give up and stuff it into his pack. Shortly afterwards, however, he paused. His nose sniffed something... foul. And, when he turned, he came face-to-face with a Skuntank that had emerged.

"Pee-yew!" He groaned, pinching his nose before creating some distance between himself and the skunk. "Laiger, Flame Wheel!" He commanded, prompting his Cyndaquil to light up its flame once more before rolling towards the stinky skunk in a blaze. Apparently frightened easily by flames, however, the Skuntank fled before it could be struck at all! But its smell lingered...

From above came a terrible snarl, a mistake to announce itself. Kaida needed to yell no warning, as Freki started to move.

A swift dodge got Freki out of the way, and Kaida started to ignore the battle. Swift movements that resembled a fencer drove the feline back, even as it attempted to Fury Swipe the serpent, only Leaf Blade was landing.

Finally, as Kaida picked up the newest capture, wondering what she would even do with a fish Pokemon, Freki landed her final blow. A crushing Slam blasted the Meowth away, who howled and scampered away.
