The sun is bright and there's people everywhere, crowds hoarding around the entrance to the lighthouse. It's the perfect place to gaze out over the ocean with a loved one or a friend, with the ocean breeze ruffling your hair and caressing your face. The perfect place for a cute photo, too, which is why Faye notes multiple cameras and phones in each person's hands... Funny enough, she had the same notion.[break][break]

In her arms is a squirmy little Mudkip, the small water type slightly startled by all the commotion. Too many people makes the little one nervous, even with Faye's feeble attempts at soothing him through coos or gentle strokes of his belly. Poor thing just can't do crowds... Perhaps they have that in common. Usually, she welcomes the distraction of losing herself in the crowd but today? She just wants peace and quiet while she stares out into the sea. Her original goal of coming here was just to take a simple photo with her Mudkip (her phone is in desperate need of a new background) but now, above all, she wants to escape these hoards of people.[break][break]

And so, she finds herself slipping through the entrance, past the crowd and away from all the noise. The climb up to the top of the lighthouse is surprisingly quick, even with her little legs struggling to not miss a step. The commotion at the base of the lighthouse fades away as she ventures through the door to the catwalk, wind already sweeping through her hair. She struggles to keep it in check, small fingers smoothing over purple and black only to have it end up in disarray all over again.[break][break]

As she ventures toward the railing, Umi squirms further in her arms, this time from excitement. The view of the ocean from up here is, well, incredible! Her eyes widen as she turns to fully admire the view, the sun glittering off the water while waves gently crash against the rocks below. "Isn't it pretty?" She murmurs, glancing down at the Mudkip just as he coos back at her. The picture can wait... This view takes priority first.[break][break]

Well, it would if she didn't notice a familiar head of hair just a few feet away. "Oh," she gasps. "What're you doing here?" For how much she finds herself cursing him in her head, she really might be lying if she said she wasn't happy to see him. Odd... She'll dwell on that later. Instead, she slides closer, purposely bumping her shoulder into his to make her presence fully known. "Oh, I know! You're trying to get a cute selfie with the view!" A giggle escapes her, then, as her lips spread to reveal a teasing grin. "You know, if that was your goal then you should've brought the Eevee ears."[break][break]

Ah, yes, she'll never get the sight of him wearing a pair of those cute ears out of her head. He'll never live that one down!
