Thankfully, the Chansey came along without too much complaint.

Now the only thing left was to find… wait, he’d come for everything that he wanted, right? So what was he going to do with the egg he had in his hands?

The answer became all too obvious as something came crashing down and out of the tree that he was walking past, quickly snatching up the egg with its frozen nibblers and devouring it. “Hey, what the—“ he began, a little dismayed before a louder plopping noise announced the presence of something he hadn’t considered taking with him.

What the hell is that?! He thought, blinking as a small crater of frost circled the ground where the Snom had landed. Not amused, the Salamence gave the Snom its best stink eye impression, before going right into its Intimidate stance.

“…I know, Gabe, it ate the egg!” he continued with a sigh. “Go get it before it gets away!” and the chase was now officially on. The Snom then lashed out with an Icy Wind—only stopped by the Salamence’s Flamethrower, melting the snow before it could hit the dual-type. Not knowing what was coming up next, the weird-looking…thing…then used Mirror Coat.

The Salamence let out a roar of surprise, angry as the flames rebounded right back at him—and then Alexei realized what was up. “Switch! Thunder Fang!” he called out, before the Salamence began to gather energy in its maws.

Avoiding another Icy Wind pelted his way, the draconid flew low, so low he was almost skimming the ground before a sudden snapping of fangs cut off the Snom’s next attack.

“Again!” Alexei continued, and another swift Thunder Fang made the Snom shriek, before the Salamence flew back up and eventually spat the Snom down at his feet.

“Brutal,” he chuckled, dropping the last Safari Ball on the Snom’s shell.
