in the driver's seat was none other than cadis. together with Eva Dumont they were escorting a cargo of pokemon to recent dealers who were interested in the sale. why was cadis delivering it personally instead of a grunt? no real reason. he could use the outing, being cooped up in the office for today wasn't on his agenda for today. "its been sometime since i went out on a drive, especially one that involved cargo transfer." he was going quite a bit over the speed limit. "haha, it's been forever since i've drove myself somewhere! driving sure can be exhilarating, wouldn't you agree?"

Eva was incredibly distracted, eyes glued to the screen that she held in her hands. On display were the contents of their cargo, information flying across the screen as she swiped.

Because of this she had almost missed what Cadis was saying, only taking notice when she had finished reading a section.

”Hmm? Oh right, driving. Yeah sure it can be fun I guess, probably be more fun if we weren’t carry precious cargo and go crazy with it. See how fast this hunk of junk can really go.” She replied.

"oh come now, are you not having any fun?" cadis teased, continuing, "is it the lack of gas station food? i heard road trips were always more exciting with gas station food." then again he saw it on a movie and simply wanted to live such a scene out. "anything interesting on that screen of yours?"

The mention of gas station food was enough for her to look away from her screen and then to him, a brow raised. ”Have you ever had gas station food before?” She asked, laughing a bit.

”It almost always terrible and you’ve got a better chance of getting some kind of food poisoning than anything good.” Eva laughed again, going to back to her screen.

”Nothing really all that interesting on here just going over our cargo. Making sure we’ve got the right amount and the Pokémon are doing fine health wise. Everything’s looking good so far.” The scientist explained.

"what a shame," cadis said with disappointment. he was looking forward to one of those infamous hotdogs. "oh? the life signs are doing well, that's good. it'd be problematic if we were given defectives." then again, he thought about it, "we could use defectives as test subjects, so they wouldn't be too much of a waste." curiosity plagued his mind as he wondered what exactly were they carrying? "we don't have any idea what we're carrying exactly do we? i wonder if it's something we could use..." cadis would come to halt at a stop light. afterwards, he'd turn with curiosity as he wondered what resided behind in the back.

”I’m sure if we wanted we could take some.” Eva shrugged. ”Doubt that they’d notice a missing one or two or we could persuade the client to give us some for our hard work.” Having more test subjects for her experiment was always nice.

That or they could be used to arm more of their grunts. She looked back herself, wondering the same thing has Cadis.

”Could take a look before we drop it off, see if there’s anything worth keeping.” She doubted it but couldn’t hurt.

"i do enjoy a nice surprise, and i'm sure our clientele wouldn't mind." continuing the drive, cadis would say, "it's settled, we'll check in the back at the next stop. whatever we find might be of actual use. i'm sure a little bit of persuasion won't be hard." the cargo would come to make a slight nose. cadis continuing to look forward wondered what exactly that had been about, "seems our friends a little restless." whatever it was had better been worth their time. "i wonder if there's a bunch of dittos in there. how useful would that be? our luck would really shoot up."

He might enjoy surprise but Eva surely didn’t, not when it came to something like this. ”Sounds like a plan.” She’d reply before a noise came from the back.

”Our little ‘friend’ needs to learn how to be a silent passenger.” She growled, thinking to herself if it made a noise again she’d go back there and deal with it. Eva quickly calmed herself, relaxing in her seat and switching her attention back to the rocket boss.

”Dittos would be nice actually. Been a while since I’ve work with that Pokémon, they’ve got a lot of utility.”

"the next stop's coming." it was just about time to see what was hiding back there. "it might just be your lucky day then, professor dumont." as cadis would pull over, he'd exit the vehicle. "do you wanna check or shall i?" one of them had to be on the lookout whereas the other went to check. "should anything get rowdy, we'll be sure to alert the other."

Out of the two Cadis was much lax about how they should handle it. Eva was prepared to nuke the ever loving shit out of this cargo and truck if it turned out whatever they were about to check was hostile.

”I’ll go check it out.” She said, volunteering herself as she hopped out of the passenger side of the truck. As she went to go inspect the cargo she released her Gardevoir, backup in case things went immediately wrong and Cadis wouldn’t be fast enough to help.

”Alright let’s see what we’ve got here.” The scientist said to herself as she opened up the back of the truck and went to inspect their cargo.
