MARCH UPDATE

Here she was, again. This little pocket of grass on route 120 had become too familiar to her but it was a good place to train her pokemon. All her attempts to encourage her growlithe to follow any sort of command remained unfruitful. She'd decided to take a break and let the growlithe wonder the clearing alongside the newest member of her bunch - an absol who always seemed to be hungry.

The pair -- or rather the absol paced the clearing, sniffing along the ground and stopping at anything he thought could be edible. Brooks was satisfied with following his new friend around and watching curiously as he tasted every rock they came across. Bo propped herself on her elbows in the shade of a nearby tree and watched the pair.

The pair perked up as a lickitung approached and took an interest in the rock Absol had been investigating. A wide, slimy tongue enveloped the rock before the pair's eyes. It took a moment before everything registered with the Absol but as he looked between the wild pokemon and where the rock had been - it dawned on him that this pokemon had stolen his treat. He rushed the lickitung, snarling and snapping. Brooks followed suit and together the pair chased the wild pokemon until they reached the tree line. "Hey, leave it alone!" Bo called out across the field. She had started to rock forward but just as quick as they had started, they stopped - losing interest in the fleeing pokemon, and then resumed investigating the nearby rocks.

Their adventure continued and Bo watched on with a perplexed look. At least she could continue to rest, though, and so she settled back onto her elbows. She'd just fed the pair but the Absol never seemed to be satiated.

The soft call of another wild pokemon carried over as Bo contemplated whether the constant need for food was behavioral or could mean some kind of parasite. She thought over a plan for her new friend as the wild pokemon's calls drifted closer and then farther away - passing by somewhere in the cluster of trees behind her.

It was really peaceful out here -- away from all the city and the people. There was room to exist and to think and no one that the trio could bother by being still for too long -- or, what'd that man call it? Loitering? There was no one they could bother with their "loitering". Bo hadn't ever hear of such a thing as being still for too long much less had she ever gotten yelled at for it before.

Either way she was glad for the room to breathe.

Deciding that the pair were doing just fine wondering around the clearing, Bo laid back and folded her arms behind her head. A nap would be nice.

She was somewhere close to sleep when she heard a branch crack above her. She jerked awake but before she could move something crashed down onto her stomach. Her breath caught and she gasped for more, sending herself into a coughing fit. She pushed herself into a sit sending whatever had hit her rolling down into her lap.

After a few moments she was coherent enough to feel the sharp prodding of claws against her legs and investigate what was now working to right itself. With a coo, the teddiursa flopped it's puffy ears back and quirked it's big brown eyes at her. Her surprise softened as the pokemon looked her over curiously.

Who could be mad at such a cute little guy?
