with the recent influx of rocket members getting their faux shadow pokemon from the labs, priam was, of course, tempted to join the bandwagon. just the term alone was cool enough to warrant owning one. he technically already has one, but it wasn't enough.

he looks for cool replacements for his braviary, who has been tortured long enough by the experiments. it already took him like nine times but he still hasn't turned into one. maybe it was defective and he needs to look for a new pokemon to shadowfy-- if that's the correct term.

priam spots a pikachu. it was small and weak and not really as threatening as a braviary, but he supposed it's going to get more interesting powers than that bird. what's a shadow bird even supposed to do? fly higher?

he sets his espeon against the wild pikachu and quickly beats it up like pow pow pow. psychic makes it go bonk on the trees and stuff until it falls unconscious. and then it faints, hopefully, and not die.

it probably got a head concussion and developed brain trauma from it, but that was a problem priam was just going to ignore until it actually becomes a problem.

in the mean time, he throws a pokeball at the pikachu to capture it.
