he doesn't know much about fred besides that the spelling of his name has weird e's and that he's this supposedly renowned engineer or something. priam doesn't really understand how important he is, but he knows he's an important figure for rocket's plans.

priam decides to pry when he accompanies him to a location, striking up small talk every so often just to get to know him more. for sure, fred wouldn't mind his presence around. he's, like, the most likeable member in rocket after all, or so he likes to believe.

"so, mister engineer, what're we here for?"

they stood before an abandoned warehouse by the outskirts of slateport. it was one of the many that rocket had used during their occupation to store their goods, though it wasn't used after then in fear of league interference.

league doesn't seem to have made any contact with the said warehouse too, though.

"Didn't someone tell you?" Medicham begins working on the lock on the door. Opting for the brute force method it hits the lock repetitively with fire punch. A lock picking method that far surpasses any lock picking lawyer's. "We need it for a project I'm working on." [break][break]

When the locks on the door finally give way medicham steps back. "After you." The warehouse door was swung wide open.[break][break]

the medicham opens the door as priam watches. he takes the invitation, entering the abandoned warehouse with his arcanine in tow. the light of day enters through the large opening, lighting up the majority of the warehouse. he supposed he doesn't need the fire-type now.

"they probably did. i'm just here to learn more about ya!"

priam winks following the answer alongside a click of his tongue.

the interior of the warehouse was filled with materials. priam doesn't know much about their value, but he can only assume they were good if an engineer from rocket makes it a point to personally visit it.

priam wanders further within like a child fueled with the curiosity of the unknown. "do we need all of these?" he asks, making small talk. "and what project? are we making some mecha? i'd like to pilot a mecha."

SOMETHING WITHIN THE WAREHOUSE WHIRS TO LIFE. a security robot, modeled after the fearsome tyranitar, marches forth. each step is thunderous. as its red glowing eyes seek the intruders, the mecha performs its duty of protecting this old, abandoned rocket storagehouse. perhaps, it's buggy...[break][break]

"Not all of it. Most of its junk anyway." Maendly peaks underneath the tops of several containers. Some were empty while others were full of miscellaneous junk from the previous iteration of Rocket. "A mecha aint worth the time it takes to make. So many pokemon can just," he snaps his fingers. "Render it to nothing in an instant. Nothing like those anime scenes where they're invincible."[break][break]

"You'd think Silas could have at tidied things a little better." He grumbles as yet another box yields nothing of interest. "He could learn a thing or two from Marie Kondo."[break][break]

With each step the tyranitar makes the building shake. Maendly freezes like a stantler in a headlight. "I thought they said there wouldn't be any league members about."[break][break]

the ground shakes. priam quickly turns his head around to look for a source. eyes widen with delight when he sees what await them within the darkness.

"aaaaaaaa!" priam screams, excited like a little kid who just saw a cool giant robot, which was reality at this point. "it's not league members! it's a mecha!"

priam quickly sprints back to where fred waits with his arcanine on his heels. it growls defensively at the large mechanical tyranitar as it puts itself in between its trainer and the thread.

despite the danger his pokemon senses, priam ignores it and focuses on the more important things to consider.

"can we keep this? i wanna name it reptar!"

the mechanical tyranitar starts to breathe fire towards the intruders, which the arcanine eats up with ease. it inches forward, and at the same time, the arcanine slightly matches it with its steps backwards.

"If we have enough room in the trailer sure. Though it'll be the last in." As the arcanine devours the mecha's flames Fred's muscles relaxed. Its fighting prowess was abysmal. [break][break]

Releasing Leavanny Frederic walks away to look for pallet trucks. "You got this right?" He asks as he turns his back. "I'm going to look for some moving machines if you do. Use Medicham if you need some more help." The fighting type was left with Priam while Leavanny searches alongside Fred.[break][break]

priam's wide eyes remain on the mechanical tyranitar. he'd probably not have any use for it, but he still does not fail not to imagine himself in it, piloting it as some kind of weapon.

he hypes himself once frederick relinquishes the job of subduing the mech to him. palms rub against each other as he turns around with the other rocket's exit. "yeah, i got this!" he shouts.

"you can just sit there," he tells the medicham. "me and arcee got this."

the arcanine huffs, a puff of flames coming from his nostrils as he affirms his trainer's words. the canine then switches his attention from priam to their target, ready to take it down like priam had wanted.

the fight took long, if only because priam tried his best not to get his arcanine to destroy it fully. most of its plates got burned, and some of the circuitry had to be torn off to take it out of commission.

at the very least, it still retained its general form.

"fred! freddy! freds! frederico!" priam calls for the engineer with various nicknames. he says nothing and waits for him to notice his work instead. a proud smile appears on his face as he waits for an assessment.

Frederic puts the machine in reverse as he backs out of the truck. Twisting backwards in his seat he looks back to not hit anything. When Priam's voice rang through the building the wheels come to a grinding halt. He didn't want to run over the poor kid leaving him paralyzed for four months. [break][break]

"Yeah what do you need?" Frederic yells as he steps off the machine. "What do you need?" He walks of the point where the building and truck conjoin and moves in the direction of the voice. [break][break]

he waves his hand up in the air as he hails for fred until he gets near enough.

"how do we get this back to the base?"

it was big enough that it'll get attention in public with how intricate it is. thinking of solutions did not occur to him since he believes that frederic will give a solution for him eventually if he asks him enough.

"i did my best not to demolish it completely! please tell me i didn't get careful for nothing."

he gets near the mecha!tyranitar and pats it on its dead, metallic plates. the sound of his hand hitting the sheet metal reverberates throughout the abandoned warehouse.
