fernando is not one to be denied. he refuses to take no for an answer. greed is his calling card and he demands his heart's desires.

the safari zone is populated with another array of pokemon. many around the region buzz with their would-be fortunes. several galarian pokemon make up the roster of this season's rotation and fernando is privy to learn more about the foreign species.

his type:null flanks his right side and the pokemon growls in defiance. he has yet to tame it but the creature has learned not to lash out. should it try again, another beating will ingrain the lesson of those who rise against their much stronger oppressors. he intends to break the pokemon's spirit by pitting it against faux opponents under the guise of being the person willing to assist it.

receive a beating or accept fernando's aid in beating the beasts back. more often than not, his pokemon opt for the latter and from their mutual enemy builds the bonds of trust and companionship.

fernando's silph scope beeps as he scans the surroundings.

fernando does not bother with practiced attack patterns. he still doesn't understand the extent of his pokemon's abilities and neither does it. its training is lacking and for now he allows the pokemon to continue using its instincts. in this case, that means mauling the pokemon into submission with TACKLE.

charmander's INFERNO scorches its artificial skin but the pokemon does not relent. like a raging ursaring, it uses its helment like a blunt weapon, bludgeoning the pokemon until fernando saves it with a pokeball.

[attr="class","spiral"] fernando keeps a distance from the falinks. he knows better than to approach an unknown pokemon with one that he has no faith in. instead, he weighs in on his patience, maneuvering around it as the silph scope reveals more about it. to no surprise, it's a galarian native, interesting on many accounts and ultimately a bad match up for his type:null.

he evades it like the plague.

[attr="class","spiral"] this time he comes across something he recognizes. the golett's ghost typing makes assaulting it near impossible. fernando tries to reel it in but when the pokemon protests he allows it to engage. the result is type:null unable to get a handle on the pokemon, watching as the golett phases through each and every attempt the type:null puts forth in order to maul it.

it takes one MEGA PUNCH to vibe check the type:null and with a whimper it returns.

they continue, pride buried, and a little more open to learning.

[attr="class","spiral"]the amount of steel types here make it hard for fernando to find a suitable opponent for his type:null. wherein having wild pokemon punish his own when they misbehave, doing so further would be nothing short of cruel. and until the pokemon proves otherwise, for now fernando sees no reason to indulge.

"U-TURN."

it's a new move and one the pokemon has yet to master. however, the simplistic nature of the move makes it easy to execute. in a running tackle, the type:null swipes at the shieldon before returning to its pokeball.

a series of FLAME BURST from his charizard make short work of what the type:null could not. fernando reaps his prize in the form of a pokeball.

Charizard should make short work of the Pokemon between its FLAME BURST and INFERNO, however Fernando doesn't read the DESTINY BOND until it's too late. When the Honedge falls, so does his Charizard, and he's taken back with an embarrassed sneer and a returned Pokemon.

"Hmph."

He catches it out of spite.
