The battle was far from won. As they were fleeing, Atlan would be caught in some sort of trap. After a moment Oscar would realize, to his horror, that it was in fact a wild pokemon. "Holy shit that's terrifying!" He exclaimed, not being very helpful. Not that he really had the chance to be, as a Rhydon barreled out of the darkness straight toward him. 

The Rhydon's drill nose was spinning rapidly as it ran forward. Oscar was frozen in terror, but luckily Malum was ready. The brave Inkay flew past his master and once again began to glow as power radiated from his body (Superpower). The two titans collided into a mighty clash, which was very surprising due to Malum's size. Naturally the fully grown Rhydon got the upper hand, pushing Malum away. While briefly dazed, Malum wasn't ready to give up the fight. In fact, he looked stronger than ever. Malum screeched as it once again dove for a Superpower. The Rhydon was ready with its own Hammer Arm, but it wasn't expecting Malum's strength. 

Thanks to its naturala bilities and Superpower, Malum had surpassed the power of normal Inkays and had ascended into the Legendary Super Inkay. The impact of Malum's body onto Rhydon staggered it and Malum kept pushing against its arm until its defense was broken, allowing a direct hit. Malum burst against the Rhydon's body, blowing it to the ground in an unconscious heap. Malum cooed happily before falling to the ground himself, his energy spent. Oscar blinked, too bewildered to process what he just witnessed. Eventually he snapped back to reality and ran to his Inkay's side, cradling him in his arms. All Oscar could say was, "Dude that was fucking metal." Malum nodded with agreement before passing out. Oscar patted his tired warrior on the head before returning him to his ball. 

As he rose he looked toward Atlan, "Can you walk, or do I have to carry you?"

Oscar didn't believe Atlan for a second, he looked like he was suffering. He was about to express this when yet another Monferno appeared, this one wielding a giant vine of some kind. As Oscar's eyes adjusted to the dark, what he actually saw was a tad hard to comprehend. It was in fact the same Monferno from earlier, this one use Eda the Seviper as some sort of whip. 

The fiery ape swung Eda over his head, which Eda allowed several times before finally getting the energy to Crunch the monkey on the head. The Monferno immediately dropped Eda and ran off, holding its head in pain. Oscar approached his hurt friend and touched him on the head, "You have fun there?" Eda was not amused, hissing in response. Oscar chuckled before returning him to his ball.

With those shenanigans out of the way, Oscar went over to Atlan and offered his shoulder to lean on. He wasn't usually this nice, but  seeing how this guy was Oscar's ticket out of here he would rather he could make it out alive.

As they made their way through the cave, even more pokemon would try to hinder their escape. "Damn it all to fuck!" Oscar exclaimed as a clobbopus jumped in his way. Oscar sighed and let out Wrath the Empoleon. Wrath leered at his target, who was currently pumping its tentacles in the air. It moved in to strike, only for Wrath to pound it with a single Metal Claw.

The clobbopus slammed against the wall behind it and deflated a bit. Oscar waited for it to get back up, but it just sat there. And then it started crying, of course it did. Oscar pinched the bridge of his nose. Curse his empathy! He pulled out a ball and threw it at the poor creature. Stupid thing would be safer in his pc then out here.

As Atlan dealt with his own troubles, Oscar was met with a towering foe that blocked their path out. The Emboar roared, flexing its fire covered muscles as it prepared to fight. Wrath stepped forward, undeterred by his opponent's meager attempts at intimidation. The boar charged, only to be met with a torrent of pressurized water.

Wrath's Hydro Pump was immensely effective against the fire type, who was helpless as Wrath pushed forward with his never ending blast of water. With the Emboar pushed to the ground, Wrath was easily able to close the gap between them. He stopped his attack, and gave the overconfident fighter a flurry of strikes with his Metal Claws. 

Oscar stepped in at that point, "Alright we get it, you're super cool. Give the poor guy a break." Oscar pulled out an empty pokeball and threw it at the Emboar. Wrath wasn't pleased, but he did nothing to impede his master's wishes.
