As his avatar wipes virtual sweat from his virtual brow, Orion finds himself glad that virtual reality isn't too realistic just yet... otherwise his proximity to an actively erupting volcano would be more than a little bit of a problem.[break][break]

After receiving a weapon drop from a mini-boss, Orion had been more than eager to try it out. What better place to try out a rock-type move than a kingdom of fire? Better yet, people couldn't just stroll up and kill him here. It was a win-win situation, as far as he was considered.[break][break]

His new bow is heftier and adorned with leaves, and Orion draws back the string in preparation to fire at whatever comes out.

A Charmander appears, and after releasing the auto-attack he'd been holding, Orion has to restrain himself from following up with his new rock-type move. Reading the ability, it had a hefty recharge time during which the user was rooted in place and unable to act, and that wasn't the kind of thing to be firing off at a basic mob. He'd save it for something big.[break][break]

Instead, he fires off a spark shot and bounces out of the way of its flaming fangs. He crashes down into it after a couple of seconds, sending it sprawling.[break][break]

A little stunned from his rough landing, Orion picks himself up and takes a breather.

A Pignite rushes him with a flaming charge, and Orion decides that it might be a good time to test out his new move.[break][break]

As he draws back the string of his bow and selects the appropriate skill, rocks begin to form around the arrowhead with a soft splintering sound. The bow feels heavier in his grip, and he takes careful aim before releasing the rock wrecker at his foe.[break][break]

As expecting, it knocks it out in one hit, but Orion isn't prepared for the sudden, jarring experience of his limbs going stiff and restricting his movement. Shit. He hoped whatever came next wasn't too unfriendly...
