He's the exact opposite of that, and doesn't really show kindness to those around him. This is mainly because he doesn't trust those around him so easily. Growing up in a place where there is a bunch of unsavory folk around each and every corner tends to do that to a person. He grew up in Pyrite Town in the Orre Region, which is home to a lot of thieves, rogues and a bunch other people who aren't all that friendly. He wasn't always a jerk though, but growing up in place like that had changed him for the worse. At least he didn't become one of those unsavory types. He just an attitude as well as an anger problem. He is also blunt to the point where it rubs people the wrong way, which makes his presence not all too favorable. [break][break] He won't normally help people who are in need either, and rejects those who try to help him in turn. He has the mindset where asking for someone's help makes him appear weak. However, that doesn't extend to his Pokemon though. His Pokemon are really the only friends he has and that he truly trusts. Other than that, he feels like he doesn't need to trust anyone else. [break][break] Being the person who he is, Ryland has a knack for getting into trouble, or perhaps trouble finding him? It's kind of hard to actually tell, given his attitude, so someone usually suspects the latter. Ryland also tends to take everything he hears with a grain of salt, especially if it's supposed good news.
