In those few seconds, he had inadvertently frozen in mid-air, before hearing the one word that shook him out of his reverie.[break][break] “Ah, shit,” he replied, before breaking out into a peal of laughter, having felt the touch on his back. “You got me there done goofed,” he added a few moments later.[break][break] Raising his hand to the earpiece, he gave a few orders before taking the Salamence down to the ground. “Follow me,” he called after Remiel. The weather began to clear up in the process, the Rain Dance coming to a halt as the skies resumed their previous color.[break][break] Once Alexei was down on the (muddy) ground, he slid off the Salamence’s back and gave Gabriel a pat. “We got caught there, but that was the point,” he said as he gave his Salamence a reassuring neck rub before letting the beast lumber off to get some rest.[break][break] Waiting for the other man to land, he fished around in his jacket pocket before finally finding the compartment he needed.
