It occurred with a single glance. While chomping on a Popsicle Oscar dared to peer at the Safari Zone roster as he passed by. While he dismissed it at first, his mind registered what he saw causing him to double take. Grubbins were available. He had spent far too many hours hunting Grubbins during his time in Alola, only to always come up empty handed. His Popsicle fell from his mouth. This was his chance.

He burst in, forked over his Poke Dollars, and charged into the Safari Zone with nary an explanation. Like a Rookidee on the hunt he dove into the nearest patch of tall grass.

"Where are you ya little bastard?"

Oscar didn’t have to search long before he spotted one of the squirmy mother fuckers in the grass. It turned as his shadow loomed over him and shook with alarm. As would you if a enormous creature smiling cruelly upon you ruined your afternoon stroll. It tried to burrow underground to which Oscar responded with a resounding, “OH NO YOU FUCKING DON’T!” He pinched its tiny butt and tossed it into the air. As it wiggled helplessly, Oscar chucked his pokeball at it. The two objects collided, and after a bright flash the ball fell to the ground alone.

Oscar clasped his successful catch with a rabid glee. Laughing maniacally, he turned toward the exit. As he approached, a sinistea appeared before him, its eyes full of longing. Ever since it had hatched, it had dreamed of going home with a kind trainer. It wished desperately for adventure and gleeful shenanigans. To grow alongside its trainer and become the strongest of its kind!

Oscar did not give a shit.

He punted it out of the way and left the Safari Zone without a second thought.
