The journeys of his childhood have sculpted the man he is today. The sound of his own boots crunching against loose dirt offset the sound of his gloves tightening. The faux leather does little to dull the smooth sensation of the Pokeball in his hand.

He prepares for the expected like many times before.

He's not outfitted to handle it right now. Not without making a detour that'll ruin his pacing and progress up the Jagged Pass.

[attr="class","spiral"]A Croagunk scales the rugged cliffs and Fernando avoids that one too. He's familiar with Toxicroak and he doesn't need another one. He's well saturated with melee oriented pokemon and it's abilities don't lend to his battle style.

[attr="class","spiral"]Now that's a familiar Pokemon. Fernando recognizes the Kanto native. He's already owned several. What's one more?

Fernando brings his left arm up, pointing the Comfey wrapped around his wrist at the opposing Pokemon. With a small giggle, the Pokemon contracts several roots underneath the field until the GRASS KNOT slithers out to entangle the Poliwrath. They hold it for now but the Comfey doesn't let up.

Eventually the plants grow into a frenzy the Poliwrath cannot break free from. Fernando liberates it with an empty Pokeball from his belt.
