Ah, familiar territory. Oscar had fond memories of Route 117, had some mighty fine adventures here. Caused his fair share of chaos, but then again who doesn't at his age. To come here on a mission from Rocket was a special treat, especially since it involved Bug type hunting. Dark types too, though Oscar kept his eyes primarily peeled for creepy crawlies to add to his team.

His partner for this mission was familiar to him, they had not long ago had a wild adventure involving slowpokes, rival gangs, and school teachers. They didn't exactly get off on the right foot then, but Oscar was determined to make a friend out of his companion of the day. Allies are a rare resource here in the underbelly of society, Oscar found it important to collect them. Even if his charisma was rather lacking.

Oscar had caught his Accelgor, Tir Na Nog, on this very route. The ninja twitched as he stood upon his home turf once more. Oscar patted his head as his partner attempted to start a conversation. "I don't know, that sounds rather delightful. If the stories are true, having them all in one place may prove useful to us."  Oscar welcomed resistance from the local pokemon packs. In his experience, the more pokemon you beat down in a given location the more likely their pack leader would appear. If team rocket (and Oscar) sought strong additions to their arsenal, they were the ones to draw out.

Oscar watched the sun set further and further over the horizon. "Get ready, the fun will start any minute."

After Sebastian and Oscar continued to wander about the dark wild area they'd be graced soon enough by the appearance of not one, but two Pokemon.

First there was Venomoth, the evolved form of Venonat, an evolutionary line that Sebastian was familiar with again due to this place being close to his hometown. A Dual-Type Pokemon consisting of Bug and Poison-Type, arguably one of Sebastian's favorite insects especially compared to the more popular likes of Butterfree. However before Sebastian could prepare to battle the beastie his eyes would come across the likes of an unfamiliar Pokemon, perhaps a breed that had become invasive since his time away from home, which expanded many years at this point.

Pulling out his old school Poke Dex Sebastian would discover that the Pokemon was Dottler, the Radome Pokemon a Bug and Psychic-Dual-Type. Supposedly it, like many bugs, evolved via a larva to cocoon stage, however it's description also noted that it still had another form to evolve into meaning it waited inside it's shell while using it's Psychic prowess in the meantime.

This was the Pokemon he had to catch, surely...

Famine, quick use Metal Claw, let's capture this Dottler!

Meowing with excitement Famine would then leap into the fray, sprinting frantically before bum rushing it's target whom jumped slightly as it was spooked, the Dottler quickly attempting to use Harden. However, Sebastian's Famine was one of his more experienced battlers meaning it knew better, as such it didn't pause after landing one Metal Claw, instead he'd follow up with a second to compensate for the Dottler's Harden.

And after the two successful blows Sebastian would hurl a Poke Ball at the target, crossing his fingers on instinct though he was swift to uncross them as to avoid flaring up his OCD.

While Sebastian was focused on the dottler, Oscar kept his eyes on the Venomoth. He was fixated on it, it was strangely beautiful. Oscar was intrigued, he wasn't familiar with this particular pokemon but if he couldn't find a use dor it someone else surely could. Oscar pulled out a pokeball and opened it, releasing his Blaziken Grievous. This moth was about to be fucked up.

Oscar snapped his fingers, "Bring it to the ground. Don't be afraid to be rough, need this to work with one try." Grievous charged forward, with Oscar following him at a more casual speed. Unfortunately for the venomoth, it did not notice Grievous using his powerful legs to launch himself into the air to grab onto it. As Grievous's arms wrapped around the bug, it finally began to take notice. It buzzed loudly (bug buzz, blasting a horrid sound directly into Grievous's ears. Grievous shrieked, nearly falling off due to the pain. 

However, he ended up just shifting his grip. He latched onto his opponent's wings with his claws, and simply squeezed. Very, very hard (crush claw). The venomoth's buzz turned into a screech. Unable to maintain flight, the venomoth steadily fell to the ground. As soon as it landed, Grievous pinned it down with his knees. It squirmed and thrashed, but it was unable to escape before Oscar could approach to throw a pokeball at its head.

With great luck Sebastian had managed to capture the Dottler while Oscar took down the Venomoth, obtaining it in kind. Grinning from ear to ear Sebastian would then lead Oscar into a thicket of the woods he had visited in his youth, though he didn't frequent it or anything it still marked his mind with memories nonetheless.

And almost as soon as they had arrived at the destination so would more Wild Pokemon appear, this time a sort of two-headed beast and a...crab or bug in a small rock shell?

Dibs on the two-fer-one!

Get in there Famine and use Metal Claw again! Don't let up!

Scanning the two-headed Pokemon then with his dex Sebastian would discover that it was dubbed Zweilous.

And it had decided to counter with Outrage, hissing and roaring in defiance as it stood it's ground to embrace Famine's attack. Clashing again and again each Pokemon would land their blows as neither chose to avoid the other's assault. In the process both would begin to falter from damage and fatigue, that was until Sebastian made a tactical decision.

Counter it with Thrash!

Hissing as the dragon had Famine would then preform it's own rage-based assault, finally taking down the Zweilous so Sebastian could lob a Poke Ball toward it in an attempt to capture it.

Oscar watched as Sebastian fought the Zwelious. Ah, he remembered when his hydreigon Puffnstuff was just a wee Zwelious. Sure he and his second head bickered all the time and were as dumb as rocks, but their shenanigans were endearing. Plus they were easier to feed, do you know how much a hydreigon eats? Three heads worth. 

Meanwhile Oscar noticed the little dwebble cowering nearby. He and Grievous exchanged looks before the approached the little bug. Perhaps it was too frightened, or maybe it was curious, because it didn't budge as Oscar approached. Oscar looked down on it, and Grievous towered next to him. Oscar snapped his fingers, and Grievous swiftly grabbed it in his claws.

The dwebbles squirmed ad Grievous applied monstrous pressure to lower its vitality (Crush Claw). Oscar watched placidly, pulling out a lollipop from his cigarette case to suck on. Once it seemed like the Grievous was about to crush the poor creature's shell, Oscar spoke up, "That should be enough. Let it go." Grievous ceased its assault and dropped the little bug.

Dwebble twitched, too hurt to run away. Oscar bent down and examined it. "Yeah, we'll make a soldier out of this one." He took out a pokeball and threw it at the damaged creature.

Passing on to a new area the duo would discover more Bugs, more insects. However this lot drew no attention from Sebastian outside of an initial glance.

Oscar these two interest you? If not let's head on, if you want to capture one I'll wait...

Oscar watched the two bugs pass them by. At one point he would have caught them in a heartbeat. However, considering his limited supply of pokeballs, he decided to forgo the impulse. He shall get every bug in due time. Oscar turned away from them, officially dismissing the possibility. 

"We have bigger targets out there. Let's keep moving." They began to walk, and Oscar couldn't help but inquire about Sebastian's name. "So where'd you pull Eugene from? Y'know, back during the slowpoke--thing."
