priam runs all the way to the outskirts of slateport to try out a totally unknown pokemon that was given to him. he wasn't sure who gave it or when he received it, but depending on what was inside, he'd feel more or less bad about it.

"nyeh!"

chucking the pokeball into the air, priam sees a beedrill inside. it was a kanto pokemon that was so common that even children got them. it was then that priam decided he won't feel bad for forgetting where he got it from.

the beedrill makes bee noises as it gets out of its confinement. fortunately, it wasn't enough to attract attention. priam's grunts and disappointed noises were enough, however.

a grimer notices them and creeps up. it doesn't have legs though, so priam manages to catch it before it can jump on them. "can you fight that?" he turns to his beedrill to ask. "trick question. you're fighting it either way."

the grimer fires a gunk shot at the beedrill, throwing the first attack while the pokemon was distracted with priam chatting it up.

the bug-type finds its rage building up from the attack hitting. it quickly turns to the grimer and starts jabbing it with its needles. it tries to fight back with slaps from its sludgy arms, but the jabbing just kept getting stronger and stronger as rage builds up.

eventually, it falls down. priam tosses a pokeball at it, thinking it might be a good prank gift for lucas or something.
