a swift WIDE GUARD protects them from the scorching FLARE BLITZ. alexander takes a step back and delegates control of the situation over to his gallade. the distance allows for a precise CLOSE COMBAT which separates them. the darmanitan soars backwards, lands on the ground, and retaliates with yet another FLARE BLITZ. galahad tanks the attack this time, bracing the heat, and counters with a precise PSYCHO CUT that drops the fire-type to the ground.

[attr="class","devonpost"]closer, but not quite. BOUNCE catches galahad by surprise and he stumbles backwards, almost tripping. a glance to the right reveals a mienfoo with great amounts of speed and accuracy. it reminds him of his mienshao–perhaps it's a trait they all share.

"don't be too cruel, galahad."

some trade accuracy for power but galahad is the opposite. he steps forward, waits for the mienfoo to drop its guard before sending a precise PSYCHO CUT that drops it instantly.

[attr="class","devonpost"]it isn't the pokemon he's looking for but he settles on it. gallade strides forward and meets sirfetch'd's LEAF BLADE with a PSYCHO CUT. the psychic-attack overwhelms and sends the sirfetch'd reeling before a pokeball catches it off guard. perhaps it's from that surprise that seals their capture.

the fighting-type brings back fond memories of his time as rustboro gym leader. alexader misses it sometimes.
