No pack, just Abner and his malamar, Mal, playing around with the poison types that surfaced. Mal was having more fun than Abner by the looks of things. Pecking around, using his

reflect

and

light screen

to take little to no damage from the opposing types.[break][break]

Nothing caught Abner's interest at first. Nothing really. Not until an arbok seemed to show its own against Mal. Surviving one of Mal's

psycho cut

s was a feat in and of itself, but even more impressive was how that arbok got back up and attacked Mal, like she could win against him![break][break]

Although she tried, the type difference and a lack of guidance against a pokemon suited like Mal became her undoing. But Abner rewarded her, by throwing a ball and capturing the snake.[break][break]

Just as the group round the corner, warm colored orbs was staring at deaths door. At the sight of a garbordor, Maverick flinched and backed up. An uneasy feeling washed over him. And really, kind of annoyed. Where are all the fucking dark types?! The massive trash heap pokemon roared at him, arms waved in the air as the pack was quick to assemble in front of their trainer. The pack snarled and snapped, teeth bared ready to defend their trainer at all cost. The poison type didn’t see them as a threat and instead, attack.

Maverick continued to back up as the pack advanced. A mixture of vicious snarls, warning growls, sharp barks, and screams filled the area. The man only stood back and watched, ready to bark out his own command if things got too hairy. But roughly five minutes into the fight, the canine’s had the creature running. Not wanting them to follow, he hollered. “Leave it!” The canine’s halted their attack as the poison fled the scene, leaving a trail of garbage behind it. The man let out a stiff chuckle, shaking his head in disbelief. That would have been so much worse if Maverick was not paying attention. With the threat gone, the trainer and his pack continued the search. Maverick hoping to catch at least one more dark type before the days end.

Every once in a while, Abner could hear this sort of scrapping fighting noise and then he could hear the trainer, Maverick was it?, yell for the dogs to leave something alone.[break][break]

He looked to his malamar, who was simply a still statue as he waited for something interesting to pass by his field of vision.[break][break]

"Think I should start shouting out commands like a drill sergeant? Is that the flare I'm missing?"[break][break]

Abner was, for all intents and purposes, just being an ass because he could be. It wasn't like if Maverick was in front of him he wouldn't have said the same thing. He just simply thought the guy could loosen up a bit. Maybe have a drink or two, get in a fight, relax with ... whatever his preference was that evening.

Owning a pack of canine’s was something that needed a lot of patience and toughest, especially with how independent and rambunctious this bunch was. Maverick wasn’t new to this and had to keep his foot on the ground or things could get, dicey. If not handled properly, things can get ugly really quick. He has had it happened to him before. Lukas and Memphis got into a fight, Lukas almost killing Memphis for dominate. It was rough. Kimba and Azula almost got into a fight too. That would have been bad too. Although Kimba was strong, she just didn’t met Azula stature. She would have lost.

However, his patience was running thin as he spotted another poison type in the distance. Luckily, his pack didn’t noticed as they playfully bite at each other to try and get the other to fight. Lukas and Azar started to bite at each other, snarling and growling waiting for the other to back down. It appeared that dark types just didn’t want to appear today. A sigh escaped him, hand rose to comb through his hair in frustration. The only positive thing was they were getting their energy out. At this rate, Maverick just sun tanning as the sun baked him. He wondered how that other guy was doing.

Well wasn't this super annoying? Nothing Abner was coming across was remotely close to a drapion he wanted, or a houndour/doom that he wanted. He glanced toward where he could hear the snarling noises of those canines and frowned.[break][break]

"Maybe I'll just... steal one of his."[break][break]

Mal seemed excited by the idea and quickly showed as much by clapping the long tentacle like hands, to which Abner glared over at him and frowned.[break][break]

To be honest, Maverick never realized how many poison type there was until now. In fact, it felt like he has ran into almost all the poison types except for the ones he wanted. It made him wonder if dark types were really that rare. Really, he never thought about it. As a man who has almost own every single dark type in his lifetime, it was never anything that crossed his mind. But as the group roamed the outskirts, a sigh of relief washed over him at the sight of a vullaby as it waddled away. Before his canine’s could advanced, man mumbled “no” in a firm tone. The pack halted their advance, eyes looked to him for a reason. “I already have my eyes on a Mandibuzz, don’t want to waste a pokball on a vullaby.”

Azar let out a hushed whimper, wanting to chase the wild pokemon. However, Lukas snipped at him and the two started to play fight. Maverick chuckled. “I swear you are all puppies deep down.” Azula then tackled the arcanine, them two engaging into a fight too. Sighing, the man found a place to sit for a few minutes as snarl and growls could be hear for miles. They pack playing with each other as the Maverick took a moment to rest his feet.
