[break][break]he's been here before--it's a popular among a certain crowd, and steered clear of by another. the drinks were good, and you'd have a pleasant enough time. so long as you could hold your own.

[attr="class","giada i"]"depends on the company," she offers with a wink. really, she'll frequent any place with a stocked bar but that's neither here nor there. the faint glow of the sign paints her features in signature red and they're only half devilish when she steps closer to him.

something tells her he's more of the classy club kind of man but he's giving her control of the situation, control of the setting. it brings a grin to her lips and not just because he actually agreed to even show. she's stepping to the door before he has any chance to change his mind. her head tilts in invitation, blonde hair shifting to expose the skin of her shoulders. "come on, hot stuff."

[attr="class","giada i"]maybe it's the scene or the company but she's not able to stop the way her lips curl. a cheshire cat smile that widens the longer she's lingering at the bar, tucked perhaps a little too close to marcel's side. she'll blame it on the many bodies in the room if he brings it to attention but something tells her he might not mind as much as she believed.

"i thought i was taking you for drinks," she retorts. a laugh follows and she's propping her upper body onto the bar, offering the bartender a flirty wink. if he's buying, who is she to deny him? besides... marcel, buying her a drink? hello, dream world!

eventually she'll decide after taking her sweet time mulling it over. and when she does, she has to keep herself from bumping her hip into his just for the thrill of it. "rum and coke."

he slides giada's glass over to her. "there we go," he says, "drinks. i can go now, right?" marcel keeps his face impassive as he glances over, though there's a slight quirk to his lips.

[attr="class","giada i"]she offers a hum as if weighing the options. is she complaining? probably. does she always complain? well... yeah, yeah she does. still, there's little room to put up much of a fight. he is, after all, buying her drinks and keeping her company which is a feat of its own.

genuine laughter bubbles out of her before she even has her first sip. "thank you," she winks. "even if you're already trying to run." giada can't necessarily blame him. hell, she'd run if herself cornered her in the bar too. oops. and perhaps that's due to the way she knocks it back without hesitation. what was once a full glass is now merely ice and she's sliding it back to him with a lazy grin. drinking like a fish should be considered a talent, thank you. she leans toward him slightly, propping her chin up on the back of her hand. "what, you got better things to do, bossman?"

his own glass is still mostly full. marcel takes a drink as he listens to giada's question. "there's a lot of things for me to do," he says, "but i wouldn't go as far as to call them better." a crease settles on his brow at the thought of work.
[break][break]the bartender comes to collect giada's empty glass and asks if she'd like another drink. marcel hesitates, but figures it'd be pretty rude not to offer. "you want me to get this one as well?"

[attr="class","giada i"]the laugh is instinctual, as if the sound of a whistle coming from a man is amusing enough. from marcel, though? amusing doesn't fully cover it. she'll lean a little toward him with a wink. "better buckle up, then, buttercup." giada morgan doesn't know the meaning of the words slow down. not about anything and sure as hell not about drinking. "party's just getting started."

and as if to further cement the concept, the eruption of loud cheers and whooping resonates behind her. it brings a grin to her face and there's no hesitation when she turns to look.

"oh?" she raises a brow at him when she finally decides she's had enough of observing the group of rowdy men. "this is better than whatever it is you do in your spare time, then?" she was under the impression getting marcel to have fun was akin to pulling teeth but maybe not? the grin stays, although it shifts into devious by the time the bartender comes back around. she's quick to wave marcel's offer off with a hand and a laugh. "i got the next round," she'll eye his drink for a moment before facing the bartender and giving the signal for another. "if you ever finish that one, anyway." something tells her that she'll be extremely drunk by the time he's even a little buzzed.

[attr="class","mthread"]his smile stretches. "i'm not sure you need the ego boost." a good enough yes as any, though not an easy one. marcel glances back to the bartender as he remembers his presence.
[break][break]politeness overpowers self-preservation. marcel would feel bad if he kept giada waiting. he downs the rest of his drink, and can only be grateful the glass is a little under half-empty. mentally, he keeps track of his drink allowance.
