the only thing that stops the large pokemon was a flareon in its path, which seemed to freak out the moment it noticed the fire lion coming out of nowhere. unfortunately, the trainer didn't look like she was going to be letting up. the large pokemon groans, even while his trainer proceeded to encourage him to keep going.

she looks over, on the verge of complaining. cause y'know, mama didn't raise no pussycat. she only pauses to take a good look at the flareon, of which she.. couldn't tell whether it was a dog or a cat. it was.. a fox? what?

but it looked pretty cute, and it had fire on it! so it had to be a pretty good catch, right? she doesn't know. she's never seen it over in sinnoh.

"pyrrus, you know the drill!" and he definitely did, unfortunately. well enough to open his mouth and take the pokemon in his jaws, crunching down on it and shaking it like a rag doll a few times. at least until it lost consciousness.

it brings the pokemon back to the trainer, who kept a grin on her face. "good job!" she coos, patting the lion's head while taking a pokeball out and tapping the fainted flareon.
