The cries of varied pokemon echoed around him as he trudged in the high grass of the Safari Zone. Keres would find out if this was worth it. A unique mon for his team sounded desirable but this place was a bit much. The kid transversed the many environments of the strange park with difficulty. Finally, he plopped down to sit on the top of a steep hill. He swiped his hand across his forehead and glanced out at the view the high ground had to offer. Just ahead, a large pond was nearby to a prairie and the edge of a woods poked almost out of view. He was not far from the entrance where he started, but he was having thoughts of turning around. The park was large, hot, and somewhat overwhelming to the child. He'd taken on tough stuff all by himself and he did so often, but he'd thought that this place was supposed to be more fun.

From the view atop the hill, Keres saw something peculiar. It was a pokemon he'd never seen before and it looked very out of place. The kid blinked his baggy eyes twice but the penguin-like mon was still in his line of sight, waddling toward the nearby pond and with a bulbous ice block for a head. Somehow that ice head of its wasn't melting in the hot sun. No doubt it was some odd-looking ice type. Despite his uncertainty about the creature, Keres never expected it to be dangerous. In fact, it didn't seem like this park housed anything dangerous.

The boy groaned and left his perch on the hill. He walked slightly faster than usual and was able to catch up to the waddler. He drew a breath, took a large step forward planting his foot, and threw one of the safari balls he'd been given by the warden of this game. The Eiscue was turning its clunky head around to see what the movement was about when the ball smacked into the side of its head. The green camo patterned device fell to the ground and sucked the Eiscue inside. Keres wiped the sweat from his forehead once more and stepped closer.
