With a sickening crack, it's SHELL SMASHES from the inside and leaves the prehistoric creature vulnerable. Free of its confinement, however, the Omastar finds its attack power boosted.[break][break]

Like he's aiming his real gun, he levels the water pistol and starts firing.[break][break]

Of course, Emma does the exact same thing - looking for leaks. The less water she wasted the better. It meant less breaks to refill and more chances to absolutely demolish this challenge. [break][break]

Her Salazzle opts to be helpful as well, performing a NASTY PLOT to unnerve the opponents. So, while Emma focuses more on objects, Salazzle makes short work of the enemy Pokemon that were affected by her nasty plotting and snickering tone.[break][break]

Katherine was most excited about this course.

It was the most engaging one of the four, and the idea of shooting someone out of the competition was... Funny. That feeling must have been almost on par with winning the course. Naturally, she chooses a small partner for this particular course. Zorua was not only tiny but also capable of masking himself to confuse others.

And just in order to enhance its offensive capabilities, NASTY PLOT is executed by the mischievous fox. You know, for good measure.

Emma's Salazzle does a good job of unnerving their opponents, her sinister cackle enough to put most anyone ill at ease. Used to it, Gavin smirks over at Emma with approval before turning his attention and his aim back to the targets.[break][break]

Hearing Dae echo him is jarring, but he's more flattered than not — even if he does have to suppress a chuckle when the Slowbro copies Omastar a bit too literally. Hopefully that wasn't permanent damage.[break][break]

Another NASTY PLOT, another second staying in the game. It helps focus the mind, and the Salazzle's long-ranged attacks hit home. They're succeeding, slowly but surely.[break][break]

Emma blasts someone clear off their feet, and she watches as the rest of her team sees progress in similar and probably less violent ways. She's honestly having fun, given the devilish grin on her face.[break][break]

She lingers a moment on the kid who's Slowbro acts as a mimic. It's a good tactic but she's honestly unsettled by the way both it and the Omastar are so willing to kill themselves to win. [break][break]

Zorua leaps here and there, confusing any of its nearby opponents by retaining the appearance of a tall, mega-evolved Gallade. They aim for his chest, but Zorua himself is not tall at all. It provides him with the perfect disguise, one that ensures its safety.

Katherine, on the other hand, has to put in a lot more effort. After all, she has to stay focused both on the task of shooting opponents and dodging bullets. It is as difficult as one would imagine– but also fun. The look on someone's face when they are hit is a priceless one, and she'd be willing to play this 'game' even without a competition.

Her attention diverts towards the two pokemon who opted to focus on dishing out damage more than anything else– even their own condition in this course. It was hardcore. Maybe she needed to get an Omastar for herself.

[attr="class","dae i"]seeing the cracks in slowbro's shell is a bit concerning but if the omastar can handle it, then surely slowbro can too. the water-type does flail his arms at the sight of it, though, and the look on his face almost makes dae second guess himself.

"i'm proud of ya. keep it up."

and again, more cracks start to form with another PSYCH UP. dae keeps himself busy as he peers around the corner, dodging a paint ball that almost hit him square in the face. that would have been embarrassing.

Squirming in discomfort at being half-in, half-out of its shell, Omastar seems to decide that enough is enough. Finding the nearest solid object, it SMASHES ITS SHELL against it and finds itself completely free of its armored cage.[break][break]

Geez. Omastar without their shell looked damn weird.[break][break]

"We'll have to find you another one," Gavin muses, ducking behind the same obstacle Omastar had sacrificed its shell upon to avoid a volley of paintballs. One of them's already hit him in his sore shoulder, the agony near enough to make him reconsider just how much he wanted to win this stupid thing. Only nearly, though.[break][break]

And now they're at maximum power. One more NASTY PLOT and Salazzle is glowing, her slick, oily, poisonous hide glistening. She's at her peak performance and is flaunting it.[break][break]

Emma glances back to see that the Omastar has entirely shed its shell. It's revolting, so she looks away.[break][break]

Meanwhile, the Salazzle hesitates before stepping on the Zorua that has been zipping around the area. Or wait, it looked like a Gallade. Yeah, the Gallade almost stepped on her. The nerve.[break][break]

Emma hits someone right between the eyes.[break][break]

She felt sick. Omastar outside of their shells looked repulsive in the full sense of the word.

Not only she had to shoot at others and avoid their bullets too, Katherine also had to keep in mind that there was an entire direction she didn't want to look at anymore.
She gestures for her dark fox to cover her - and then they begin to operate as a unit.

The fake Gallade takes care of the right and his trainer takes care of the left. Another NASTY PLOT goes through. Together, they are unstoppable. Or at least so the trainer chooses to believe.

slowbro's shell might have cracked even more but it still remains solid on his tail. huh. maybe his water-type was the superior one? the thought has dae chuckling as he turns to look back at the omastar.

"bro i think your omastar's dying."

the distraction allows a paintball to hit his jaw. he winces in pain and shuffles to find cover.

While he has to agree that a de-shelled Omastar is not a pretty sight, Gavin finds it amusing that the girls have chosen to avert their eyes. Omastar, for its part, seems completely unbothered as it slorches across the ground.[break][break]

Gavin chuckles, the sound deep in his throat.[break][break]

"Ah, he's fine," the Rocket insists. "We've done this shit before. Problem's finding a new shell, those things are rare and usually at the bottom of the fucking ocean."[break][break]

That's the problem with keeping fossils, he supposed. Fully free of its shell, the Omastar begins firing at targets of its own with powerful HYDRO PUMPS.[break][break]

Her voice is flat and she turns back to the objective. They seem to be demolishing the field for the most part. She was covered in paint but not yet disqualified. Salazzle was unharmed, probably melting the projectiles with toxic or something before it got too close.[break][break]
