The goal was simple enough and Abner was a little excited to see this band of misfit losers actually do something useful. Or something.[break][break]

There was a lot of alcohol consumed on the beach and while he wasn't exactly a light weight those drinks got consumed a bit and he was really looking for a way to blow off the steam.[break][break]

Or something. So he tossed out his perrserker, Gigi, and waved his hand at the target.[break][break]

The cat extended her claws into daggers and immediately used her

to boost her attack, attempting to slash and clash with the targets before her.

"hell yeah! let's go!"

perhaps getting alcohol in his system wasn't the best thing. this wasn't his first time getting drunk, but the resistance he had built up in his system wasn't quite there yet. he's light on his feet, but the aggression comes out of his as easily.

on the top of his lungs, he pumps his fist in the air as he shouts. "awoo! awoo!"

his arcanine howls with him, raising the spirits of everyone around him. everyone else shares the boost of the soulful howl and gets a boost of attack as well.

with his battlecry, the arcanine smashes things with his head.

Oscar probably had the least amount to drink as these clowns and he was still probably going to do the worst. Oscar didn't lack confisence, he was more of generally unsure. He had never competed like this before, and it was on the spur of the moment while chatting with Abner on the beach. How on earth was he convinced to perform like this?

No matter, he was here now and he looked great in his athletic uniform so Oscar was gonna work it. Oscar sent out Wrath, his ever vicious Empoleon. Wrath looked to his master for orders, and Oscar was quick to provide them. "Break everything. Power up as often as possible, I don't want to see you love tapping the targets."

Wrath nodded and took on a power stance. He began waving his arms in a flowing dance, his body beginning to steam as his muscles tightened to provide him with more strength (Sword Dance). When the dance was complete, Wrath surged forward. As Gigi and Priam's arcanine smashed their targets, Wrath ran forward to pulverize the next with his sharp flippers.

Notes: Sword Dance performed. Additional +1 to attack from Priam's howl.

as priam pumps his fist repeatedly in the air in the most energetic manner, he quickly turns when he hears abner direct his attention to marcel. his mouth is wide agape as he buffers his next words.

"'ey! don't go harassin' my boy!"

he tries to run for abner, but almost trips on his own feet due to him being tipsy. he finds balance when he reaches forward and gets a hold of abner's shoulder. as soon as he regains traction, his previous thought dissipates and is replaced with his earlier one.

"just do the thing with me, like, awoo!"

with priam's own howl, the arcanine follows with his own. the song fills the air alongside the cheering and the teasing and the drunk mumbling between them, but invigorates everyone else's pokemon's spirits nonetheless.

with his head, the arcanine continues to break what priam can only assume to be cardboard. he's also drunk, so he's not sure what the material of the wall his pokemon just smashed through was

Oscar sighed at the shenanigans. "I obviously need more drinks for this." He wasn't annoyed, he was more disappointed that he couldn'tbring himself to join in while sober. Though that was probably for the best, someone among them needed to keep their head on straight. Besides, they were all kinda adorable while intoxicated. Oscar couldn't appreciate that if he was too.

Wrath was having himself a blast, the targets were child's play. However his massacre of inanimate objects ceased when he reached a stone target of all things. Wrath did his sword dance once more, much quicker this time, before crashing through the rock with the weight of his body. Wrath almost wished this were a battle, he couldn't imagine the damage he could deliver like this!

Oscar began to lose track of the pokemon as they got further into the course. "Alright boys, time to go for a jog." Oscar jogged forward past the rubble to keep up with his okemon.

Notes: Sword Dance used, additional +1 from Priam's howl.

priam points at oscar from behind, though since he was taking the lead, he most likely won't notice it. not until priam brings the attention to him when he raises his voice though.

"you too oscar! this is, like, our battle cry or somethin'. this is, what'cha call it... team building, yeah!"

it's like a pack of wolves who disturb the neighborhood every night because they want to talk with each other. priam doesn't necessarily know why they howl, but if it does one thing right, it's that it knows how to be contagious.

Oscar stopped to look back at Priam. Battle cry huh? That wasn't Oscar's thing. Yet he didn't want to seem rude, to dismiss Priam's request could bring unwanted alienation from his teammates, or worse they might make fun of him. Oscar had a thick skin, but the idea of withstanding the drunk mockery of both Abner and Priam made him tired.

So Oscar tightened his face into a cringe and weakly went "A-awwoo..woo...fuck it." Oscar's face burned crimson as he turned away. "Fucking, I don't want to hear it. I tried!" Oscar stomped forward, questioning why he started trying to be a nice person in the first place.

Oh right, survival. At least Kosuke wasn't being a bother.

Wrath was still breaking shit I dunno.

Abner argues with a laugh as Gigi comes to check on him, before turning and beginning to clear the pathway more. The combination of her hone claws and the howls has her pumped and ready to go! She's like an evil little kitty, scratching through hell to claw her way to heaven... or something.[break][break]

The howling is mimicked once more as they make their way through the course, and then Abner realizes something very important.[break][break]

"Oh my fuck guys," he grabs Priam by the mouth, probably pooching out those cute lil bby lips of Praim's as he does so. "Our team doesn't have a name..."[break][break]

Basically, what are they doing with their lives?!?!

the howling of both the arcanine and its trainer continue, joining in when oscar had tried. marcel didn't though, and priam would have egged him on to try had abner not changeed the subject.

he tries to kick an obstacle down with his foot before he stops and turns to give in his input.

"we can be like... the poachyenas. yeah! like that one loser poacher gang!" and then the thought of comparison occurs to him. "but we're not losers... we're not! argh, this is so hard!"

both of his hands go to his head and furiously combs his hair up out of frustration. it was as if his head hasn't been able to think hard enough even without alcohol.
