▲ Skyler waited for the lingering burning feeling to fade away, wetting her chapped lips with her tongue and tasting the alcohol with a slight grimace. She didn't consider herself a connoisseur of fine drinks, but that wasn't what she was looking for right now anyway. The burning would do just fine. She couldn't help the nugget of curiosity that bubbled up to the surface as she glanced at the man by her side. They do say that misery loves company, right? So she shouldn't feel that surprised that someone had found her -- or she'd found them -- this exact evening. She wondered for a moment about what could have possibly made him come to this place, but she thought it could have something to do with his sober, dark clothes. 'It's not your business, Skyler, let it go.'She was about to call for the bartender when the man besides her did it for her. She turned his way, silver eyes studying him more attently. She let out a snort at his words. "Sadder isn't the problem. Not the problem at all." Her eyes turned distant for a split second, but then a stony expression stole over her face. Repress. Repress. Repress. "I could do away with the fear though." Skyler accepted the new shot with a thankful smile that looked more like a grimace and faded away in an instant. Her eyes lingered over the man and she repeated the motion she did before, raising the glass as if going for a toast. "Same hell, different devils, huh?" She looked the man in the eyes this time though, and slightly shook the shot glass invitingly. "Join me for this one?" Her day had already turned out to be a disaster, and Skyler was determined not to let it follow her around. She tried not to think that she'd have to go back -- if not tomorrow, then the day after.
