look what you made me do One night and one more time thanks for the memories even though they weren't so great he tastes like you, only sweeter one night, yeah, and one more time thanks for the memories, thanks for the memories see, he tastes like you, only sweeter, been looking forward to the future but my eyesight is going bad, in these crystal balls, it's always cloudy except for when you look into the past one night stand. Minerva sighed. That was the kind of treasure she did not need in her life. Still, she would wait the Malamar to finish his business before going in that direction again, and though the thief could probably beat the mal out of the Malamar, just thinking about her Pokemon making contact with that was insidious. So she walked back the spot beside the lake where her clothes were drying. The light glimmering off the water surface greeted her, winking at her to take another dip. Tempting. But she needed to stay focused on task. Nothing else glittered than treasure. She smiled at her reflection, each light adorning her image with diamonds, and sapphires. “ Hmm, I look pretty.” She said turning and twisting her bare body, as if she was wearing the prettiest dress in the world. “ No need to be jealous.” Small waves distorted her image in the water. It took her awhile to register that the disturbance in the water was caused by something beneath. Something that was surfacing fast. Minerva curiously stared, entranced by the distortion of her own image. The glittering was no longer there. A mysterious, bulky figure jumped out of the water, reaching an impressive height. It was a Seismitoad, probably on the hunt for a meal. As flattered as Minerva thought to have been chosen to become the oversized frog’s meal, she’d be sad to decline it’s offer to dine. She somersaulted backwards, grabbing her clothes in the process. They would need space to make this battle eventful, and Minerva wasn’t about to disappoint. A thief never needed to learn how to fight, but that was the difference between a common streetrat and thieves of her caliber. She fought and did it well, but never fought to win, for a thief’s victory lay in their ability to escape, and if possible the prized possession with them. This was no different. “ Belphegor.” She declared, throwing a Pokeball up in the air. “ It’s time to do some exercise.” The Slaking appeared from a ray of red emanating from the Pokeball. His body was widespread, the cavern floor made of the most comfortable material in the world. She sighed, shaking her head, all the while Belphegor’s snores echoed through the cavern. It was typical of his species to sleep at a time like this. The Seismitoad, on the other hand, did not waste any time in relaxing like her Pokemon. From the moment that he opened, a large stream of water at compressed levels rushed to sweep the Slaking away. The frog pokemon hoped the trainer would be swept away by his Hydro Pump. The blast of water hit the Slaking and it threw the body into the cave wall, shaking the cave into a tremor. “Well, that should wake him up.” She commented sarcastically, waving the storm of dust his flight and crash set off. “ Now, to deal with this guy while little Bel picks himself up.” Minerva wasn’t exactly sure how to deal with the slimy bastard, but she had faith that Bel would come right back. He was just slow… very slow. But she expected that, otherwise he would not be on her team. The Seismitoad attempted to grab her with his extendable tongue. Oh hell no. Minerva jumped to one side, rolled and lay crouched on the floor, ready to evade as if her life depended on it. The frog whipped out his tongue again, and again, she rolled and evaded. None of her current Pokemon aside from Bel would be a match for this freak. They stood apart from each other, eyes locked, sizing up each other should one of them moved. But they moved at the same time. The Seismitoad threw his tongue forward, but this time, Minerva jumped up. The ground shook, like a series of mini quakes, and out of the shadows, an angry Slaking rushed towards the Seismitoad. He grabbed his slimy extended tongue, wrapped it around his arm, and pulled him forward. The frog flew across the cave and was greeted with a Hammer Arm, which sent it flying back and into the water. The battle was over in an instant. Minerva sighed and placed Belphegor back into the Pokeball before he fell into the ground, not out of exhaustion, but laziness. tag: @wild words: 715 notes: seismitoad is seisminomore!
