"it's wrong for us to believe in the unnatural, logic is what we're suppose to go on—agnosticism." he'd come to place his back against the chair in which she sat in. contemplating the topic of discussion.

"interconnectedness via entanglement among living beings and the universe—the quantum soul."

shunned by conventional science because of an apparent lack of rational explanation. "when i started 'evol' i wanted it to be a place where all form of science was accepted, be they logical or illogical. after all, science is no different from magic. the only difference is that it does not emanate through us, but by creativity and instrument." alas, even so, that has been proven wrong with the birth of those bestowed avatarship.

"anyway, back to the quantum mechanics. you're probably wondering as to how does this relate to your being here? a general argument is that quantum effects can serve to facilitate processes that are either slow or impossible according to classical physics. physicists are familiar with the fact that discreteness, quantum tunneling, superposition and entanglement produce novel and unexpected phenomena."

which brings us back to the soul and, predominantly, tapu lele. "we still have a lot to learn about what it means to be an avatar. but i think the reason you were struck by the fragment's light was due to a bond forged deeper than what we witnessed on the surface." tapu lele chose illeana reyes for a reason. be it for one or another their relationship was probably stronger than your any avatar. regardless, "when tapu lele sacrificed itself for you. i think the bond you two held grew even more and that, in someway, it left an imprint on your soul. wherever tapu lele may be, i think the fragment has given us a hint to your fated meeting." she probably wondered as to why he cared so much about the pair. he didn't particularly care all too much.

zenji just couldn't stand the somber look she donned back in his office.

zenji was ready to continue his search and ignore his suspicion. though that would have to be put on pause once Raziel Beckett had been heard. the sound of a loud crash made him worry for the ranger's safety. "kingsman!" he called. zenji would drop his laptop to run and check up on the battle that had just commenced. with porygon behind both it and zenji together stumbled upon a trapped Alexandra Briarwood and a possibly injured Raziel Beckett.

"are you alright?"

he would examine the woman captured by the pitch-black web of electricity, albeit briefly, while simultaneously running to Raziel Beckett's side and checking in on him. "is there anything broken?" he would check for a severe injury.

[attr="class","light"]zenji remained silent for a moment before saying, "then let's get started."

the scene would transition to the area of where it would all take place: the white room. this place held the league's greatest minds and advanced technological equipment, all aided by the aether foundation's cooperation. something not even zenji would have been able to craft with evol's engineer. in one room beyond the white room had been where zenji kept the samples and data on each avatar to come by. along with his personal project. just as stormy and fernando went through their testing, illeana's would be no different. but her case was a special one, she was a special one. to harbor some residual residue of the tapu she once represented made zenji ponder on this theory.

she would be tethered to a chair that some found comfortable. though she was scheduled to undergo the same treatment as both FERNANDO SILPH and Stormy Silph, he would hold off on that. instead they were going to do something different. "illeana, may i ask you a question?" zenji inquired upon standing over her.


"what do you know about the soul?"

[attr="class","light"]"you're radiating abnormal energy. three to be exact, two we've already identified and one an anomaly."

by matching them to the data zenji's lab had already possessed. it was a bit alarming about the unknown energy that radiated from his forearm. "evan place fernando's diagram on the big screen." the light within the white room dimmed. a large screen would descend from the ceiling. upon was the medical diagram of fernando's anatomy.

"your body has been registered to possess an unidentified element within it. it's hard for our technology to register, so it has been deemed an unidentifiable phenomenon. but only in this part of the body." zenji's index finger would touch the forearm of FERNANDO SILPH . "also we've identified that, just like stormy, you harbor a property that doesn't belong in the average human body, and that's not all..." the screen would begin to flash the word "infection" all throughout. alerting them that his body had developed toxins.

"you now have the exact same intoxication as bailey. it's a miracle we were even able to pick up on it. it actually surprised me, you should be thankful to the engineers at aether foundation." the only reason they were able to find bailey's was due to her body practically full of it. whereas fernando only had a minimal of it, as if he'd came into contact with groudon itself.

"but even so, the amount of toxin is cause for concern. but that's not as pressing as your body being overcharged." his concern was mainly with fenrnado's health. not because of the intoxication, but his body intaking so much. "i don't know if it's healthy for each of these foreign substances to coexist inside of you. the power of an avatar, this intoxication, and whatever this foreign invader is. you need to ensure that you're being monitored properly and kept in check." the last thing fernando needed to do was overexert himself.

"you're still human, and trying to play with the gods is a dangerous path."

the team was at work. as zenji stood by fernando's side. he would possess a smartpad in his hand. reading the results from it due to being away from the main computer that was recording all of what was happening. his vital signs were a bit...abnormal compared to stormy's. "evan, pull up stormy's records." he'd study the present screen of FERNANDO SILPH's records that were matched right alongside stormy's. carefully he examined the two.

"well this is abnormal."

there was a reading that held slight similarity to stormy's. but then there are several others, mainly two, that stood out from the first. the first indicator showed that he was, just like stormy, an avatar. but there was a reading upon his arm that was intense. whatever this was it was something never before seen, or could barely be considered normal. "and for this one..." fernando, though small, was practically showcasing an unfamiliar substance that hadn't been found upon stormy.

"you're oozing something on here, but..." where had he seen this? "...just like cooper." it wasn't heavy, but it was definitely similar to bailey cooper's medical files. "fernando, have you felt any different since the aqua aseembly meeting? did anything unusual occur over the weekend?"

zenji greeted the former councilman. his head would turn to face an assistant, "escort him to the white room." the white room was a facility where study had been held. be they pokemon, human, a strange phenomenon. this was a room that only the highest under zenji had access to. the only other person to have access was his partner, Eva Morales and the commissioner.


"yahoo! name's evan, i'll be takin' ya to the back!" the esteemed youth said. evan was a fan of the, now former, councilman. his icy cool demeanor secretly being admired by the assistant as he led fernando to the room had he chosen to follow and had nothing else to say or ask. once inside he would leave fernando with a small team that was assigned to assist zenji.

immediately fernando was greeted by four scientists simultaneously. those of zenji's crew were well trained to respect those who deserved it. the four scientists standing before him would begin to guide the former councilman through the motion. leading the owner to a chair that was state of the art. before placing fernando upon it and attaching cords to his being. there was a matter of discussion that needed to be had between he and zenji.

"for now we're going to check some vitals, extract some blood, and take a piece of your skin a long with a bit of other bodily fluids later." had there been any need to check this mental state? it wouldn't be proper to skip a step. "and as we're doing this we're going to try and evaluate your mental state as of late. so we'll be asking you some questions." simple and easy stuff.

"i'd also like to see if there's been any development since seeing what happened at the end of the meeting. plus, i wanna see what your special talent is as a avatar."

ah and he should probably inform him about stormy's being here.

his face softened in expression. a light sigh escaping him. "i'm aware that you yourself were once an avatar but are now an exonerate." zenji had been informed that she lost her status as avatar. whether this is temporarily or permanent is unknown. "regardless, you were and still are in some way." zenji recalled of what happened at the end of the aqua assembly.

"and for that i think it's worth an examination yourself. the fragment touched you even though you were assumed to have been absolved. i'm not sure if it's connected to whether or not you possess possible primal energy and aren't aware, but i believe your connection has yet to be severed." at least not fully so to speak.

[attr="class","light"]to finally have a one on one session with the studious illeana reyes wasn't expected. well revered for her youthful rise as head scientist. he pondered on what sent the woman off for her respite. it was none of his business, but he was nonetheless zenji was on mildly enthused to meet the gifted individual.

he sat within a private office at the research tower. the room was large and spacey. as he waited for illeana reyes to arrive. he was in the process of reviewing FERNANDO SILPH's case. the results were still a work in progress, but zenji was expected to have what he needed by the end of the week.

zenji had been alerted of illeana reyes's arrival. he would tell the assistant to send her up. once they were here he would stand from his desk to welcome the pair. "thank you for bringing her," he said sternly. the assistant would take their leave. "come, sit." zenji would offer a seat to illeana reyes. had she chosen to take it or not was up to her.

he would turn to sitting at his desk. leaning back, he would ask, "how've things been, reyes? i hope life has been treating you good. it's finally nice to meet the league's youngest head scientist ever. to be back in action must be exciting for you." zenji casually spoke.

[attr="class","light"]a new dawn a new day. zenji would come to be the first to enter the laboratory of the research tower. standing in front of a large computer screen. the head scientist would await for it to turn on. and just as it would do he a screen would pop up.




with a vocal requirement. zenji would say the code as followed, "0137." there he would gain access to all the privacy held within the research tower and throughout league's database. "porygon," he called for his partnered pokemon. the silent creature hovered over. "pull up Stormy Silph's results."



zenji carefully studied everything they had gone through. from her blood sample, hair, biopsy and all. there was nothing that showed her any sign of intoxication or abnormality in her physical or mental health. "so far nothing out of the ordinary. we can rule Stormy Silph out that she has little to no complications." zenji would turn his attention to a laptop upon a nearby desk. he'd begin to type on it.

"next up is FERNANDO SILPH."

zenji would think back to the mystical occurrence that happened at the end of the aqua assembly. if anyone required a checkup it was those three: illeana reyes, kyle lopez, and FERNANDO SILPH. "if i can get a sample from the three of them i can compare it to Stormy Silph's." and while he did that he could also gain some more knowledge on what it means to be a representative bonded to a legendary. it would help him with his 'private project'.

"now we wait for FERNANDO SILPH to arrive." zenji's assistants should be arriving soon themselves. "we got a long morning ahead of us."

[attr="class","light"]her faced was painted with hesitancy and her words were full of longing. stormy possessed a strong desire to want and shine as bright as the sun. for what she thought was selfish had only been but a simple human trait: growth.

"it's not wrong to want more for yourself."

it was never wrong to want more out of life. "you have nothing to apologize for," zenji responded, "in fact, personally, i think this is a piece of moltres creating a desire within you to grow like a raging fire. longing to burn and grow." to serve as the representative of moltres only made sense for stormy. "is it possible that you may be confusing the need to prove yourself with the desire to grow?" considering who her brother was. it would be a surprise if she didn't have an ambitious nature.

"you're an ambitious young woman with a lot of time to prove to yourself. you're way too ahead of your time to be worried about such trivial matters." he'd place a hand upon his own chest, "you've got a raging fire in that chest of yours. but you have to remember to not be so hard on yourself or you might burnout too early." his face remained straight even though he uttered what he thought to believe words of encouragement.

"i'm rooting for you, kiddo."

a hand would be placed upon her head. "my job is to make sure you're as healthy as can be, and i'll make sure of it that you will be able to become someone you're proud to be." it wasn't zenji's job to fulfill stormy with any form of encouragement. it wasn't like him. but when it came to those who were younger than him, he couldn't help but act as a listening ear for the youth of today. it was annoying, as much as he'd like to admit, but fulfilling in a way.

had she anything to say to him the head scientist would wait before continuing onward with testing.

[attr="class","light"]elena's orbs softened upon the third answer. zenji, who beheld a neutral look, listened as she spoke. her body began to emanate a slight warmth that caused her vitals to slightly shift. they were abnormal and slightly above the average human's ability to generate such a temperature. but nothing that was out of the ordinary or too noteworthy.

as stormy spoke, zenji listened. his gaze became narrowed. whispering to the individual recording her results. zenji would come to exit the room next door and entered back onto the scene. kneeling beside the bounded avatar in order for the pair to meet eye to eye. he would place himself physically at her level, "stormy," he called out to, "may i ask you a question?"

once she was to give him permission he would say, "tell me..." zenji paused briefly, "...why do you feel uncertain?" elena and hayden watched from the side. wondering as to why zenji diverted from the questionnaire so suddenly. "do you not feel as if you deserve moltres's blessing? or is it by chance something else?"

upon the monitor there was no shift in anything that stood out to zenji. there was a small shift here and there, but that seemed to be unrelated and a natural response. especially considering the questions that were being asked. zenji would place his finger upon a button, his voice would emerge throughout the room, "remember to be as truthful as you can be and recall what you can."

the next set of questions were probably simple for her, right? for what zenji thought was simple was probably subjective. especially considering how she responded to the first three. thankfully she was of sound mind and had the inability to do as such. we can rule any possible mental health solutions out of the way.

[attr="class","light"]a smile had formed upon the head scientist's face. there were some also upon elena's and hayden's. "alright then, let's get started." and so it was time to work. once Stormy Silph had gotten herself settled into the chair and the contraption had been placed around her forehead. zenji would move into a room upon the other side. in this room the results were being displayed and recorded. as hayden prepared to extract the necessary blood from stormy, elena would begin to speak with a gentle tone.

"let's start with something easy..."

so far the first three were simple. nothing to strict nor complex. for now they were trying to work their way toward the heavy-hitters gently. "we don't wanna stress the brain out too much," zenji murmured in the other room upon watching from behind a glass window. "nothing too out of the ordinary."
