There's no way Bloodborne would lose to some cheap copy. The Ultra Beast roared as it clashed with its mirror. Bloodborne locked claws with the Ditto and attempted to heave upward into the air. To its surprise, it's a struggle, and they're left deadlocked. [break][break]

Killian whistled, "Now that's interesting, Bloodborne should be stronger." there's something different about this Ditto. It's a good thing they aren't alone then.[break][break]

Ditto's attention tugged briefly to Lycanroc and the noisy barking of its doubles. A rookie mistake, giving Bloodborne the opening it needs. [break][break]

The dragon sees only red as it shoves the Ditto back and unleashes a Dragon Pulse of its own. The purple-red beam collides point-blank into the copy's chest. Ditto roared in pain but remained standing. [break][break]

Recovering quickly, Ditto bathed the immediate area in a sea of fire. Its Flamethrower scorching the grass and igniting the nearby trees.[break][break]

Killian's in a good mood. No, a great mood. Can't say the same for the alien slumbering inside him. The things tense as they walk the subs metallic halls. Killian can feel it crawling underneath his skin, worried.[break][break]

He gets no reply. Only an increased sense of urgency and desire to leave.[break][break]

"I don't like this place either but someone I need to see is here."[break][break]

The looks he gets as he talks to himself aren't unnoticed. Grunts watching, curious why the head of intel is spouting nonsense to no one. He'll have to remember to speak inwardly or get used to the stares.[break][break]

They reach the labs at the end of the hall and Killian puts on a smile. "Hey folks," he says, walking in and interrupting the scientists hard at work.[break][break]

How odd that Lulu had Darkrai opening doors. Whatever she's working on must be demanding of her full attention. Color him intrigued. [break][break]

Once inside the bunker, Killian watched from the door frame as the noirette inspected a machine. The shape of which was vaguely familiar. "Having Darkrai open the door is a hella of way to flex." he carries the same cheery tone and smile he'd given the deity over to her. [break][break]

"Tch." he clicked his tongue. Another sacrifice that bore no results and the Pokemon came from his own stock, no less. So frustrating, but there's nothing to be done. Rocket will have what it needed to produce another Genesect in time.

Today he offers a Cufant to the flames. Gifted by , it feels almost wrong using one of her own to aide Rocket. Killian's almost hesitant as he moves to deposit the Poke Ball. In the end, the Cufant meets the same fate as the others.

Who knows, maybe because it's Lex, the forces of fate will be on his side. Not that he believed in such things.

Killian didn't stay to watch this time. With both hands in his pockets, he spun to leave. Headed to his office to file a report and send an e-mail.

The last time he and Lulu met at her lighthouse, they'd learned the world was ending. Bruce Willis's Armageddon playing out in real life. Despite being unphased by the revelation, Killian doubted Flint spent the time since doing nothing. He certainly hadn't.[break][break]

He leaned against the wall next to the stairs at the top of the lighthouse. Two venti-sized cups from the local Starbeez between his hands. At three in the afternoon, no one should be drinking coffee, but given Lulu's inability to sleep, Killian figured she'd need it. Taste better than that homebrew stuff she had lying around too. "Hurry up and open the door." he complained. She'd invited him over, but Killian wasn't taking the chance of letting himself in. According to the grapevine, the last person who let themselves into Lulu's private quarters got bit by a Houndoom. That was her office, not her home. [break][break]

Killian can do nothing but sit and wait. Grit his teeth and feel useless while Lex struggles for her life. He hated it. Loathed it with every fiber of his being. This wasn't how things were supposed to go.

"That's not how Rocket runs anymore. They've changed." odd that 's words came to mind at this moment. "Rocket takes care of their own, Kaito." Distressed as he is to admit it, he and Lex belong to them for now.

He blew smoke, lips curving into a confident smile. A cocky, hateful grin worn out of spite.

"Take the gamble. You'll lose."

The woman that escorted Killian here nodded at Kaito's order. Without a word, she turned and made her way to the elevator. The security room is where she's headed. From there, she'll find the redheaded lynx causing problems.

Children were involved. Great. Killian sighed, downing a larger drink of whiskey. He didn't know , but he's familiar with . Smart kid, more intelligent than he was at that age.

Is it wrong that he's not concerned about their safety? More worried they'll get in the way of solving the puzzle. A puzzle that isn't his to piece together.
