danny's voice isn't as deep as bon iver but he manages. he has a decent range considering all the time he puts into practicing different voices and accents for his dungeons and dragons npcs.[break][break]

when exile comes to an end, danny's sniffing back a few stray tears. it's a really sad song.[break][break]

for half a second, danny expected her to surface closer to him, perhaps even in front of him. but she surfaces a distance away, closer to shore, and danny can't help but chuckle.[break][break]

he makes his way towards her, swimming initially before standing and walking once in shallower waters. this time, for whatever reason, he carries himself with confidence.[break][break]

perhaps too quick to respond and too slow to stop himself, danny is left having to deal with the silence that follows when he cuts himself off.[break][break]

it's harmless, he tells himself. they're just friends and they should be allowed to just have a bit of fun. but considering his history, it should come as no surprise that danny does not handle casual very well.[break][break]

never too late to start trying, though. even if there's a chance he'd fail and fall later on. he's too tipsy to think about that now, anyways.[break][break]
