natalie wore black, like you'd expect her to if she was going to rob a store. which, of course, she was. it was a massive department store with multiple floors, each carrying their own riches and goodies. when she was here a few days ago, there was definitely a hand-bag she'd been eyeing.

perhaps she would get that too, while she was here.

she leaned against the brick of an alleyway, arms crossed and flat of her foot against the wall. fingers tapped against her bicep and a hum escaped her. one of the irritating ones that seeped into your thoughts like a poison.

it was catchy.

Lulu Flint

"online?" natalie said with a noticeable ounce of interest. "i probably should've done that. arceus knows i could've been doing better things."

natalie thinks, memory pulling back to her younger years. not that it was too long ago. tell that to her joints, though.

"wyndon university in galar. nothing special." she leans against her fist, elbow on the bar of the table as she looks at lulu. "checking my credentials then?" natalie mused.

she pursed her lips in thought for a moment.

"want to share a plate of mozzarella sticks? i'm starving."

Lulu Flint

had she pressed a nerve? it seemed like everyone at rocket was a bit touchy. did they all have chips on their shoulders?

she shrugged mentally, deciding not to press.

"i did," she admits. "it was needlessly expensive. professors didn't like me much. couldn't reason why."

natalie tilts her heads.

"did you? i'm sure i would've heard your name floating around."

Lulu Flint

the answer doesn't satisfy, but natalie shrugs in response anyways. "i like to leave a personal touch on everyone." but, natalie's nose crinkles as she continues. "except 'blank.' i rather prefer that to his real name. 'theo'. mine describes him perfectly. natalie shivers at the mention of the blank, THEO BECKETT . his lack of emotion was boring.

though, nearly getting the two of them killed was kind of amusing.

"color me humble though, lulu. little ol' me? is this a girls night then?" she raises her eyebrow in question.

Lulu Flint

"i'd never," she responds mock sarcastically. natalie raises two fingers, summoning another drink that arrives as she's speaking.

"and, it's natalie." she looks in lulu's direction, sipping her drink with more fervor than the other woman. "i don't get everyone's desire to use last names so ominously, but, it's not really my style."

natalie shrugs.

"what brings a woman like you to this humble little hole in the wall?"

lulu's challenge wasn't something she expected, but, that did not mean she wasn't used to it. natalie had a special way with people. it got her in trouble. a lot.

her eyes flashed towards lulu, unconcerned by the threat in her eyes.

"me?" she mused once more, sipping the liquor in front of her. "just a girl having a drink."

natalie's gaze wanders, then, as if let-down; bored.

"but i suppose it's looking i'll be the one disappointed tonight."

Cillian Quinn

her eyes trickle slowly towards the nearby aides. most had stopped their work and lingered just out of range of the fog to listen in, their curiosity peaking. that, of course, meant work she needed done wasn't. natalie's eyes narrowed.

"i'm sure we can find one or two nearby," the threat in her words was clear. instantly, the group that had gathered, dispersed.

"let's table that for now." natalie adds simply, pushing onto more questions.

"as previously stated, the legendary pokemon lugia's patronage is what gives you these abilities. can you note any special bonds the two of you share? can you read one another's emotions or feelings? is lugia able to speak to you? do you share a tangible mental connection in any way?"

her questions were rapid, but centrally focused enough to give gavin examples of what she was looking for.
