The blonde flashed a bright grin as he leaned back on the rocks, enjoying himself. Half was the chance to take a peek at a little more skin that Luka might usually show off, but the other half was simply how the situation itself would be enough to fluster Luka. She probably had something devious planned. After all, she’d been so nervous when he’d been shouting things over the wall. Whatever the case, Andres was more than happy to play along with her. “Of course, I made it! I wouldn’t deny a pretty lady. Well, most of the time anyway~” he explained talking a bit less loudly now that he didn’t need his voice to carry over the partition. [break][break]

Chuchi paddled over, bumping purposefully into her trainer’s chest, squinting up at him. Andres gave her a little pat on the head before replying. “Dangerous? I don’t bite Lukita~ Well…unless you want me to?” Andres said as he looked up at her again. “Can you?! I don’t think I’ve ever seen you drink.” He returned surprised but intrigued. It sounded like a challenge. “Tacos and Tequila. That’s our next day out.” He said waving a finger at her before suddenly getting up. “And who’s this chiquillo?” he said purposefully passing far too close to Luka as he moved over to look at Toffee and give him a little wave.

Andres snorted at Luka, bubbling the water as he lay with his head half submerged. “Ok, ok! Don’t get too worked up in this heat! I’ll take you out sometime for spicy food~ We can make a day of it.” He called back grinning. He lifted his hand out of the water to give her a thumbs up before dropping it back down as he realized she couldn’t see it. “I wouldn’t lie to you, mi corazon~” he added as he heard her retreating back into the bathwater. Chuchi followed immediately. He heard the belly flop that followed and the happy cry she let out once she breached the surface again. [break][break]

“Oh??” Andres asked, sitting up as he felt Luka was leading him towards something. He felt himself grinning so hard his cheeks hurt. “Que bendicion!! I’ll be right over!!” he called out sweetly, just barely holding back the enthusiasm he felt. Careful not to slip and crack open his head, Andres quickly grabbed his flip flops and hand towel and fast walked it to the lockers. Almost 10 minutes later he emerged from the girl’s locker rooms, looking tense, haggard, but successful in avoiding detection. His lower half is wrapped by a decently size towel and tied tightly as to avoid slipping. “Towel on, as promised.” He said holding his arms and gesturing as his midsection. Chuchi growled at him, annoyed he’d actually made it. She was hoping he’d get caught. [break][break]

Without much of a fuss, or even shame, Andres walked over to carefully reentered the bathwater next to Luka, smiling all the while. A little too happy to be here. “I should’ve snuck a bit of liquor here…I heard people tend to drink wine or something when bathing together.” He hadn’t. He’d seen it on tv. It was probably fake.

Andres shivered, slowly moving back to the water. Not that cold…ugh. Whatever! “No! Please! I don’t want her to try that again. The tree won’t hold her fat ass a second time!” He called back, half worried, half trying to get a rise out of his partner. The irritated growl form the other side confirmed he’d been successful. “But if you’re offering,” he started as he slowly crept back into the water, groaning as he reacclimated to the heat. “I’m sure a teeny, tiny peek over the wall would be enough to get me all hot and bothered~” he stated as he dunked up to his shoulders in warm spring water again. If Summer intimidated him, Andres didn’t show it smiling in his typical carefree sort of way and tilting his head at the woman. “I don’t think it’s this entire party’s business, but you’re appearance has made itself known.” He said with another laugh. “Ah-! Wait….perhaps….was it your first time attempting something so risqué, Miss Su-” His teasing is halted by a single slap that’s only dulled by the roar of the party and music accompanying it. Andres just barely has time to blink, lifting a hand to rub his face as his acquaintance is partially hidden by the lucky batter himself. [break][break]

“Was that necessary?” he asked, brows knitting together as he frowned in confusion. He didn’t look upset, far from it. He’d simply been pointing out the obvious. It wasn’t his fault they didn’t know how to hide it better. Yes, it was absolutely necessary. That’s the immediate answer he’s given as the short young man gives him a half maker right under the ribs. He can see the windup, but he’s not particularly sure how to respond if at all. Andres hadn’t picked a fighting since sophomore year of college. He didn’t have it in him to try a chokehold. Plus, he’d look as messy as the couple he was harassing. Didn’t want that. They’re practically glued to each other.” He explained as he pulled himself up and dusted himself off. “I’m a little jealous~” he added smiling down at his date, but also very clearly stepping away from Casey before he tried a real haymaker for his jaw instead.

The commotion outside is alluring, and Andres is more than eager to check it out himself. But he didn’t want to abandon arthur finnian vanderbilt , wherever his date had gone. He’d moved to retrieve some drinks, expecting him to follow but he supposed the guy had gotten distracted. That didn’t surprise him though. A glance at the guests and he realized there was a lot more rich and famous people than he’d realized. The soiree was a right mix of the upper crust as well as lower class it seemed. Not that it was a bad thing, but he figured Artie would’ve wanted to chat it up with his contacts as well. After all, when you thought about it carefully, Andres was the eye candy here, going along with the younger blonde’s whims as he pleased. But that was Andres’ flaw. He ordered something light. He’d already had a couple of shots and he doesn’t want to get wasted yet. Tonight, wasn’t really that kind of night for him anyway. He got sloshed at clubs, not at fancy parties he wanted to remember the morning after. Andres Buenaventura. Nice to meet you.” He continued with a grin at Casey. “Since you’ve already done the handiwork, mind relaying to me the hiding places you found? I’d like to take Artie somewhere…fresh.” He said before letting out a laugh. “Make sure you hydrate; you look like you’re about to fall over. Summer must’ve put you through the fuckin’ ringer.” His words aren’t malicious in the slightest. Andres was the last person to judge people who took out their boredom in more risqué ways. She sounded alright and…Chuchi wasn’t to blame. “Alright…if you say so!” He replied though he was still a little apprehensive now that he didn’t have Chuchi within eyesight. She tended to be reckless because she bounced back form matches rather easily. And while, he and her had done some risky maneuvers for the sake of battle…that was different to stuff like this. At least matches had parameters to keep pokemon suffering severe injuries. He didn’t have the same protections for her outside of the arena. [break][break]

“Hopefully it goes away soon…I don’t wanna catch a cold here.” He said with a laugh. As Luka teased him Chuchi barked in agreement settling next to Luka and Toffee. She offered the baby pokemon a light nuzzling when she able to assure him everything was alright. Andres, meanwhile, seemed offended at the insinuation. “Me? Adverse to the heat?!” He’s indignant. “Naw, it’s more like I want my huevos to stay intact instead of hardboiled.” He complained. “Can’t have kids if all the little swimmers are dead!” he added, crossing his arms as he moved back towards his hot spring and crouched down ready to stick his hand in. It still hurt but not as much. Though his hand was fine he didn’t think getting back in would be prudent. “I dare you to go out to a spicy dinner with me and say that again.” He added with a grin. Luka didn’t seem like the type that could tolerate spicy food. He’d have her beat then.

The Eevee yipped happily nuzzling into Luka when she let her, tail wagging excitedly at the attention. As long as the girl was happy, she was happy. That’s what she was there for. Besides, her success rate was a bit higher than Andres’ who tended to botch things up by speaking too bluntly on certain things. “Ah its fine~” The blonde said waving her concern off. When he couldn’t confide in anyone, he confided in Chuchi or his other teammates. When it was too much to talk out, he’d work it out. Andres tended to spend hours in the gym when he was upset trying to work out his issues on a machine. It usually worked. At the very least it made sure when he got home, he’d knock out easily enough. The steam seemed to increase, billowing upwards into the cold sky. Andres sat in the water for a moment before the water began to almost bubble and scald his skin. “Heyhey HEY!” he yelped as he splashed wildly, jumping out of the shallow pool. His skin was red from the heat and he was fanning himself as he moved away from the thick layer of steam rising off of it. “It is!” he called back out, carefully walking around the pool and hugging himself. The quick relief had turned into a uncomfortable cold as he drifted farther from the hot spring. “Chuchi what did you do!?” he shouted over the partition. [break][break]

The Eevee hadn’t done anything. She instead dashed over to the little Togepi, shepherding the floating pokemon closer to the edge and nudging him away form the intense steam before he ended up becoming just a soft-boiled egg. “BUI!!!” She screeched over at Andres in protest after helping Toffee to safety. “It’s like someone flushed every toiler in the facility at once.” Andres added, now leaning over on the partition and watching the steam.

She’s being silly, but not in the self aware kind of way, and Andres felt the need to proceed but he didn’t want to upset her either. Maybe he shouldn’t have brought this up at all. They could’ve gone together as friends, but he’d rally thought she’d been asked out or at the very least asked someone out in turn. Chuchi arched her head up cooing at the affection but once that was done with, she continued to stare at Luka. Wide eyes all seeing, all knowing. Or at least they gave off that impression as she stopped needing to blink for a minute or two. “Buiii…” the normal type said gently, headbutting her on the shoulder before sitting back on her haunches and patting the girl’s head with one of her paws. With Andres, she knew exactly when to push him and when to comfort him. [break][break]


With Luka, it’s a little tougher to read since she hadn’t spent that much time with her, but its obvious something’s amiss. Andres smiled to himself as he heard water moving and Luka seemingly doubling down on her offer to help him. “Much appreciated, Lukita. I guess I have been lacking a confidant since I moved to Hoenn…” Most of his friends were off in other places. And while he felt himself the social guy, none of the people he’d met really qualified as someone he could be vulnerable with. He dind’t like being vulnerable, but even when he thought his life was great and his job was good, he had insecurities pop up from time to time. “Well, the feeling is mutual. I’m really good at listening~ Not so much at the advice part. You know, experience and all that.” He said with a laugh. He did have a plethora of romantic experience but long-term relationships? A mystery. It was lucky he even had friends, since he tended to sleep with most people he communicated with. “Chuchi’s also really good at dealing with problems. Anyone ever bother you and I’ll let her out. She’ll chase them off easily.” He added as the Eevee let out a couple barks in agreement, her tail wagging excitedly. “You have my number Luka, reach out anytime you like. Our services are free of charge.” Andres added trying to lighten up the mood a bit.

To be honest, Andres wasn’t a psychic type trainer or had any particular affinity for the little guys, but a swarm of Unown was interesting to him. Especially when he had heard that when the little guys came together, their combined psychic energy did weird shit. They looked frantic but seemed mostly docile, and he wasn’t about to disturb the weird buzzing letters. [break][break]

Chuchi sat with him, as they watched pokemon after pokemon rush by or spin around, mesmerized by the mess. “Hey Chuchi, those ones over there kinda spell dick.” He said lightly, gesturing at a partially stopped group of Unown before they dispersed. This felt like the pokemon equivalent of watching clouds or water ripple. Random but somewhat calming to witness. It was hard not to assume their alphabet had come from these pokemon, but to was still kind of weird to contemplate. “Chuchi, try to bite one that looks like an exclamation mark. I have an idea.” He instructed. The fat Eevee stood up imemdiatly, eager to pounce on the harmless pokemon. [break][break]

Andres sucked his teeth in disappointment. If he was offer there, he would’ve tickled the information out of her. That always seemed to work with his siblings. “Boo~! After a beat he added, “Pwease?” in a tone that indicated he was probably trying to flash some sort of puppy eyes at her. “Chuchi back me up on this!” he shouted. The Eevee who had closed her eyes to rest perked up for a moment glancing around before squinting at the wall and putting her head back down. She wasn’t helping without payment. [break][break]

She got a little quieter, and Andres was tempted once more to check over the partition. Chuchi was there though, she’d take care of it. Whatever it was. “Aaah~ That’s where I sort of think you’re wrong…or well half wrong, chulita.” He said with a loud sigh turning the conversation back to him. arthur finnian vanderbilt was…well he was hard to read when he wanted to be. Andres thought he was pretty in tune with people, but Artie eluded him. It almost made him nervous, but then again, they weren’t anything special. The nerves there more so stemmed from if something like this would scare him off. He really liked the hook ups after all. Andres hadn’t hit someone that cute in months. Andres, FOCUS. “You see, even I have dating trouble from time to time~” [break][break]

Chuchi, meanwhile, looked over at Luka staring intently as she decided what to do before carefully putting a paw on the top of her head.
