he never would have told ruslan that his wish was to stop himself from... becoming. because becoming what was too hard to explain really. but in due time it wouldn't even matter. after all he'd be lost to himself, his brain and thoughts turning and turning over each other. for the moment though, all he could do was watch the sky. the lights and colors like nothing he would ever see again probably. no matter how many fancy parties he went to. "don't tell me yours either." wasn't there something about not telling each others wishes or else they wouldn't come true? knowing what he did of ruslan though he suspected it was something simple. something easy. "i hope that you'll remember tonight." forever.

his wish was made silently, as ruslan stammered his way through another request or demand or comment. that nothing would ruin this strange relationship they had. if you could even call it that. it was more like a symbiotic relationship. or more like he was a parasite burrowing into ruslan's life moment by moment. who could really tell? it was still very early. but he knew the signs of becoming out of control and if tonight was any indication he needed to breath. reflect. he needed to find some sort of gravity or he'd find himself floating off. "whatever you like." and he meant it. "it's breathtaking, isn't it?" but if he was talking about ruslan, the sky, or anything else it was uncertain.

there was an announcement somewhere, that the meteor shower was to begin in earnest. now wasn't really the time for contracts and that sort of talk. now was the time for enjoying the night sky and the show it was about to put on. "you can decide to charge me for whatever you like then, you'll have to add tonight to my bill if you like." but that being said he was going to do as he liked for a few moments. after all if he was going to be charged for it he might as well get his money's worth. his arms scooped ruslan up, lifting him so that he could better look at the sky.

it took only one arm with how much smaller he was. how much lighter he was. but victor would make sure he got some decent food in him soon. gently he brushed ruslan's hair away from his neck, placing just the smallest kiss and and even lighter lick there. "you can charge me for that as well, now pay attention to the meteor shower. it's supposed to be radiant." as if he hadn't done anything at all just then.

if he'd had the means he would have had a contract written up then and there at the party. but he figured it would be better to wait until after all of this was over with. he didn't want to draw too much attention to them after all. "yes, you'll have it in writing by tomorrow evening." it was as good as he could do on such a short term notice really. but he wanted it locked down. "what do you want included in the contract. be specific." after all it was important to make sure they got everything right. one mistake and both of them could feel screwed over in the end.

he softened a bit, watching ruslan watch the minior. as much as he wanted to talk with him he didn't want to ruin the moment for him. especially since it was rare that he got to go out into parties like this. it was important for him to experience nice things like this.

victor could feel his temper start to taper off as he leaned against one of the railings. watching as the minior fell from the sky. it was a pretty sight that was for sure. "i want you to know that our arrangement is exclusive, and this should have been a talk we had when we began it. if you need something, you come to me for it. not other men." especially not loud, blonde idiots.

"if you want something, you come to me for it." not guys that looked like they still belonged playing in an arcade on their parents quarters. not a worm. jealousy tinged his voice lightly as he stated what he wanted from him. "is this acceptable?" it was sort of like writing a contract. sort of.

he couldn't say he was sad to see the other man go because otherwise it might have ended in yet another fight. but he wasn't worried about that. he was absolutely sure that he could win against someone like that. what he didn't like was that ruslan was offering to meet up with him later. they needed to have their talk before that. before the blonde could get any funny ideas. "yes, we should be able to talk outside as well." taking ruslan skye's hand he led him outside himself. not wanting to wait and see if there was anyone else that wanted to come up to him. cooling his head would be a good idea. he had a demeanor to maintain after all. he needed to get himself under control.

"it used to take me much longer." but after awhile everything fell into a routine and he was able to cut down on time. it was much more efficient that way. one step at a time all laid out for the day in order.

"silk sheets are softer and stop you from sweating in your sleep. or at least as much. it's good for your skin and hair as well." it stopped your hair from tangling when it was long and stopped you from breaking out as much. "it's good for you."

at least that was how he saw it and justified the fact that he spent that much money on sheets. not that money was really an issue. "i suspect that is your routine. but if you'd like a different one then we can set it up for you." he just needed to know what lana wanted to do.

he resisted the urge to roll his eyes and yawn at the idea of this kid thinking he was about to worm his way into his business like this. there was no way in hell he would have this sort of conversation with him in attendance. it would have to wait until the two of them left the party. "it's nothing someone like you would be interested in." he was of course talking to @elliott . "after all, i'm sure you've got plenty of other things to do right now." none of them were probably important but there were certainly other things.

victor could feel himself grinding his teeth when lana mentioned meeting up with this... person again. carefully he tilted lana's face up to look at him for the moment. "we need to have a talk after this party." he was going to have a long conversation about... all of this. well, not all of it. he didn't want lana to feel obligated towards certain parts of this sort of arrangement. "the three of us could go, if it's insisted. since it's among friends." but the way he said the word made it hard to believe that was what he was thinking.

his eyes wandered up to the floating creature above them. it was a rarity, to see a pokemon like that. especially in a place like this. and he liked rare things. especially when it came to them just coming up for free... perhaps... he could make it his own. but he couldn't become too distracted at the moment. not with this worm in front of him.

his temper flared as the conversation continued. but he kept his face neutral as his hand went to brush the intruder's from lana. he didn't like when other people touched his things. and technically lana was his. even with lana not really understanding the whole arrangement. in his mind it was akin to someone taking something from him. "you know you shouldn't hesitate to ask me if you need something." he of course meant money since that was what he gave the other man for the most part.

the idea that ruslan might have gone to someone else with the same sort of arrangement was annoying him. someone else wouldn't be as understanding towards the fact that lana had no idea what he was doing with it. "i'm sure you only have the nicest of intentions." but there was a hint of edge and bite to his voice at it.

victor hadn't exactly wanted to show up to this thing but he had a few obligations to meet. meaning of course he was going to drag lana along with him. the fact of the matter was it was nice to be able to point to someone and say that he was here with them. if for no other reason than to fend off other offers. he didn't care that so and so was single or that someone was available for the night. it was exhausting to deal with.

so it stood to reason that he was a little bit zoned out when they entered, mostly not paying attention to the fact that he was here with someone clinging to him and instead taking the time to scan the room. to see who was here and with who. or without. so when lana started to create a ruckus with someone else he snapped back to reality, noticing that he had pulled away from him.

"are you being bothered lana?" he went to sweep the other man back under his arm, to encircle him closer.

lana being surprised at his skin care routine made him laugh for the first time. a loud and boisterous laugh that echoed in the room a little bit. a rare occurrence. he brushed a bit of his hair back from his eyes, feeling that it got wet from the steam. "there's a facial wash, face masks, oils, brows, face creams, lotions... various things that go into making sure i don't look and feel like a slob every day." it wasn't all sitting in baths and the like.

"i sleep well, on silk sheets i might add." they were expensive. as most of the things in his apartment were. but that didn't matter. "you'll fall into your own routine soon enough." victor had gathered enough that lana didn't particularly have a place to go or stay most of the time. meaning he was expecting the other man to eventually cling to him for that as well.

once he had figured everything out internally he would be able to properly explain to lana why he'd been upset. ( but that wouldn't be for some time since he was a bit on the emotionally constipated side and where would the drama be in that properly if everything was worked out all at once? )

"yes, just for you. i'll be working at times and if you want to treat yourself you'll have to occasionally do it without me." he didn't expect lana to sit around and wait for him all of the time. especially when they weren't on a planned date. there was no sense in keeping nice things from him though because of it. victor knew the ins and outs of these sorts of relationships and preferred to just think about the part where he gave money to someone. the other part... well, it was clear lana wasn't experienced with that much of it all. it was like a game really.

"extremely, it takes me about two hours to ready myself in the morning. so you'll need to learn to deal with that at times." especially since eventually lana would be in his apartment. eventually.
