it wasn't just a tree that they had passed that was familiar to them when it was pointed out. cossack noticed a cutiefly that was buzzing around the same path along the tree as well. almost like it was in some kind of bugged loop. "I...believe we did..." was it just exhaustion from a long day's work that was tiring them out? possibly.

still it took another lap along the trail they were on where they passed the same tree and pokemon in the same position that thoughts began to intrude cossack's mind. "i...believe we may indeed be lost. but..." something wasn't right about that though, they were on a trail for sure as the dirt path carved out for them was visible...

"we shouldn't be. its just a straight shot ahead of us to the rest of the crew and the parking lot. stay close." taking out a pokeball he released his magneton who shot off a magnet bomb at the cutiefly only for it to pass right through the small pokemon as it suddenly melted into the ground and the world around them began to distort. "looks like we're not on set anymore..."

they somehow made it out of the killer forest and away from the killer creatures. cossak was ready to praise arceus for letting them get out of there with minimal causalities. almost praise him. they still found themselves somewhere odd, no longer a forest but now a sprawling plains with a large tree off in the distance. "were we not just inside a tree when we started this?" at least that's what he remembered, it was what happened right? he hadn't given it much attention but there was a lot of odd happenings on this little trip of theirs. all for the glory of rocket he supposed.

while many treated their wounds and managed to find strange "fangs" in the ground cossack's eyes were brought towards the shrines that surrounded them. a fair share of people inspected the shrines, some of them even going so far as to offer up some...morbid offerings. "quite the macabre sense of gifts don't you all think?" he simply asked to himself out loud as he walked over to the western shrine and went straight to the structure itself and began to poke at it with a hand.

"i know we just escaped some assassins out for our blood but i find it a little hard to believe that everything around us wants that along with our flesh." however it wasn't like he had any alternative ideas at the moment other than knocking on the shrine to see of disturbing it brought out anything else. a few more agitated residents wasn't anything they could handle right?

the symbols he finds are strange to say the least. he's not overtly familiar with them and yet something about them catches his interest. its the fact that the carving looks much cleaner than something like taking a knife or set of claws to them. the cut of it almost reminds him of expert craftsmen level of skill than sheer amateur work-

before the thought could be finished completely the sounds of smacking wood interrupts him.

the forest decided to fend for itself against these intruders, not the kind of thing cossack would have thought about if he wasn't so busy examining the strange marking on his bamboo shoot. such things would have to take a backseat however as the forest came alive and a strange creature he's never seen before decided to show itself and jump at a few of his rocket members. it seemed like it was their time to leave.

running away he stuffed his bamboo piece into his shirt and joined the others that hid under Cillian Quinn's protection (like a chick running under their mother hen's bosom) and sent out one of his pokemon when he saw the others do their best to try and stave off their attackers. they had already made it this far there was no way he was going to let some creatures ruin his and their fun.

"axess, code: magnet bomb!" he called out as his magneton emerged from the orb on his belt and weaved through the bamboo as it floated near the group, coming apart as it used its individual parts to summon up magnetic bombs for each of its eyes before shooting them off at the strange creatures.

"well it would be a shame if you did actually die after giving a rousing speech such as that."

from the door to the room entered cossack with his porygon floating by his side. he had heard of a gathering of his peers and curiosity got the better of him. while he could only catch a hint of what was going on it sounded like something he just had to witness unfold. and if this little experiment of theirs provided any useful fruits then he wanted to at least brag about being there to see it happen in person.

"our prayers are with you mr delarosa."

"one door down...about a dozen more to go it seems." before them lay a forest full of bamboo and statues of strange creatures that reminded him of cute little fire dogs only...different. they looked old, like really old, and almost out of place in this strange place and that was saying something considering where they were. still curiosity got the better of him and as he approached one of them cossack reached in and plucked one of the many horns hiding inside of its mouth, turning it over to inspect the odd number carved into it. "this smells like a puzzle, can't wait. i could use a bit of exercise of my brain."

venturing deep into the forest he noticed that the bamboo around them looked like something had cut into them leaving them with strange markings like the little horns he had in his hand. inspecting the carvings he had to wonder what made them. from what he could tell...well...he wasn't sure what he was supposed to think. did someone carve these into the bamboo? was it even a person that did it or was it a pokemon? as the ground rumbled he held onto one of the bamboo stalks and muttered under his breath; "i don't think we're alone in here..."

it was an exciting venture to be a part of even if he had only arrived in the region and set up shop a few weeks ago. he could be tending to his company to make sure that the move wasn't causing any delays on their own projects he just couldn't pass up a chance to inspect this fabled tree he heard much about during his trip over here. to think that a mysterious tree would sprout up on the same day that they decided to take over sootopolis.

perhaps walsh really was onto something such as providence smiling down on them.

yet there was no real time to revel in it, they needed to get this tree to even spill its secrets first. as they made their way deeper into the forest they soon reached their destination where... a door greeted them. the term "door" was pretty used loosely here as the wall of black and panels seemed to enthrall cossack as he approached it. "well now this is interesting." muttering to himself he reached oout to touch one of the panels like a few others who brought out floating letters to aid them in deciphering this strange blockade.

"enjoying yourself aren't we?" from behind kris a hand was placed on his shoulder that gripped it with a vice as cossack came up behind him and walked in front of him to take a seat next to him as he watched the casino go about its day as well as the kid's "prank". with him was a magneton that brought around a tray held up by magnetism with some sodas for the two boys to enjoy as the patrons were starting to lose their minds at all of their bad luck oblivious that most of it was pretty manufactured by a simple pokemon that was quite the trickster.

"although i would be careful if i was you. send away too many people and we won't be able to make anymore money. and that would be bad wouldn't it." taking out a pokeball he sent out his own porygon who made its way over to the ceiling where it met up with kris' porygon and started to peck at it with its angular beak to get it to slow down with its pranking. "and i'd hate to be the one who was at fault for loosing the group some major cash, isn't that right?" he asks as he smirks at the kid.

"i should be thanking you mr. jenkins," cossack took the man's hand and simply smiled at him, "i really do appreciate your cooperation with this shoot as well as helping out with some of the character studies. those would help production move ahead of schedule slightly, and in the business being ahead of schedule is a miracle in of itself." his praise is laced with laughter as the crew starts to set everything away for the day.

they had been filming for most of the day so it was time to pack up and leave but there was still plenty of work to be done the next day, "say how about i treat you to dinner as a thanks for your hard work...and as a bribe to help us out for another day or two. that is if your down for doing a bit more physical activity than standing around looking pretty." not the most graceful way to ask someone but cossack wanted to cut through the formalities as they walked down the path through the forest where they were filming. even if he said no it wasn't much of a loss as they had more than enough material to work with thanks to him but cossack could see that the man had a bit more talent than he probably even realized, so he was going to milk it for all its worth before anyone else could.
