"i've read about this phenomenon before, something to do with fairy pokemon if i remember correctly. basically we should find any fairy pokemon and persuade them to let us out of this strange little trap they have us in. which one we're looking for is something i'm not so sure which ones are capable of doing this." he motioned his mangeton to stick close to them as he placed a hand on elliot's shoulder and gripped it tightly as his eyes scanned all around them. even as the world distorted around them it still had the vague shape of a forest with bright lights around them.

"keep your eyes peeled. and point out anything that looks well, odder than what's going on right now. something that doesn't quite fit the imagery should be the key to our escape. i may not be a battler but my magneton should be plenty enough to break us out of here." that is if what they were facing wasn't stronger than them.

"and so...if i just do this." he pricks his finger with the scalpel to watch a hint of red suddenly come spilling out of the cut on his finger. with that he holds his finger over the small petri dish and lets it drip slowly into it. his magneton floats up beside him with a tray full of crackers and orange juice in its magnet hands for him to eat to revitalize himself. the man only chuckled.

"oh come now i'm not donating blood. just inspecting something. but i do appreciate the concern." he takes a cracker from the tray anyway and once the dish is full enough on its bottom with is blood he takes it and slides it under a microscope while cleaning up his finger. "we gave blood to the those shrines and gained new power...i wonder if it somehow changed us in the process."

he recalled those so called powers from their little "trip" into the tree in sootopolis that granted everyone the power to take on the forms of pokemon and their abilities to an extent and after that...well there wasn't really any word about it. not even cossack dared to try and see if he could summon such power again. even if he was able to he would still want to examine a specimen to try and see if there were any changes to a person's body because of it.

and he wasn't quite eager ot ask people around this submarine if they were willing to participate in experiments....even if some of them would do it on themselves.

as cossack and his rotom hover above the tree branches he's able to see all that happens around him. it seems like the efforts with taking down the serviper proved to be fruitful as he watched the snake go down...only for it to suddenly rise back up again. below the doppelganger was still pressing forward reaching for cossack's feet with its ugly arms. "tch. this is annoying. we need to leave as soon as possible. mr prog. if you'll join me." aiming a finger at the copy the swanna transformed rocket fired off a jet of water gun at the copy while his rotom followed up with it with a shock wave to combine it with the water his trainer expelled to try and make their final move a bit more effective.

"oh my. our host seems to be full of surprises." his comment is mostly said to calm himself and keep from focusing too much on the grotesque display of the large snake eating its own tail and seeing that harming it was not going to be an easy thing to do. what was more concerning however was the rivers of blood that it spilled that turned into copies of nearly everyone here and started to attack. well he says copies but...was he really that boney looking?

his rotom swooped in with an electro ball to slow down the blood double as it approached them while cossack pointed a finger at the thing. "we really don't have time or the patience for this. so if you would so kindly," from his finger erupts a water pulse that splashes against the clone to even push it back further and perhaps drown it, "leave." was blood even capable of drowning? time to find out. he wasted no time with finding out if his clone was dispatched with or not as he and his rotom hovered up to the air above to get out of its reach should it counter attack them or was sturdy enough to take their assault. better safe than sorry.

as the giant ape finally falls the team manage to find their way to the other side of their path. cossack does his best to not stare at the burnt corpse of their giant foe but the smell from it is quite overpowering. was it because it was so large that its body was giving off its smell? or was it because of his new heightened...humanity? questions for later although they did give the man a lot to think about for later. if he was even fine or sane in that future later.

as they all entered the portal there was another sight to behold, two in actuality. the first came at the view, a sky high position that they found themselves in that cossack was lucky that he grew wings so falling off wasn't a real problem for him but just looking down at the faraway ground below them still made a pit in his stomach grow. it was quite the distance after all.

the second was the sight of another large pokemon, serviper, sitting atop this tree and sinking its teeth into a strange rainbow colored stantler-like pokemon. whatever it was it seemed like it was in trouble and the large snek wasn't too keen on sharing its meal as it spewed out a smokescreen all over the team. as his vision blurred cossack swapped out his magneton for a rotom that hovered close to him as he let his stiff wings slightly flap as he raises to the air with his partner.

"don't let this breeze blow you off anyone!" he calls out as his rotom begins to spin around his body releasing an ominous wind that cuts a howl through the smoke to not only push it back but also the snake. cossack does the same as he unleashes a defog to help clear up the smoke to give everyone a bit more visibility.

he's always wanted to watch some of those old slaking kong films that he remembered were pretty popular among movie buffs. not because he was interested in that genre although after today one would have to ask him if he was or isn't a fan of it. he just really was curious about why they were considered "good" movies...because him being the victim of rillaboom napping was not fun in the slightest and why anyone would make a movie where that constantly happens is beyond him.

still he wasn't going to let himself be a damsel in distress and he sure wasn't going to let Eris Halla be one even if she was quicker than him on being proactive on freeing them. taking one of his arms and slowly sliding it out of the grip of the vines he put his index and ring finger together and swirled them around until a small disk of compressed air formed at his finger tips. he then took careful aim at below him and eris and launched an air slash down at the vines hoping to slice them apart thus cutting the two victims.

the monkey still needed to pay however, and as he fired off a few more to make sure that he could slice into the vines of the zombie kong his eyes scanned the air until they laid onto his magneton that was wildly flail about like an idiot. "axess! be of some use and slow this thing down! take out its legs or something!" cossack shouted which caught the attention of the flying heap of steel as it blinked with each of its eyes before swooping down with its magnets pointed at the shins, knees, and feet of the rillaboom as it let loose a barrage of magnet bombs.

as they make their way it seems that the forest is still filled with beasts who's slumber were disturbed by trespassers. this was going to be a reoccurring pattern wasn't it? "i also suggest that you prioritize one's own safety as well!" he cries out as he stumbles out of the path of the rillaboom as it rampaged with his magneton abandoning him with a magnet rise to the sky, "tch, traitor."

as he scrambled to safety he took notice of others that seemed to either do the same but at the same time launch their own counter offensive on the giant monkey. would it work? who could say, but he figured it was probably a decent way to get the monkey off their back.

as feathers fell off his body his transformation to his avian form allowed him to spread his wings and soar above the rillaboom and join his magneton who he shot a cross look at before flapping his wings. "well then, why don't i help dry them off?" with a final flap of his wings a hurricane spread across the swamp. as he pushed the wind agianst the giant ape he pushed himself to try and fly over the obstacle ahead of him along with his magneton to put some distance between them and their giant new friend.

"well, seems like we're at a fork in our journey. well as the kids say, let's split up then gang." of course he was one of the few dead last to even get a move on. following in the footsteps of the scientists (Raphael Pryde Lulu Flint Kano Iyona) in heading down the left (red) path before them. as he did his brought his magneton up to him with a gesutre as he was busy inspecting his fading new form and body structure. "looks dark up ahead. be a gent and gives us some light please?" his magneton screeched in response as its magnets and bolts flew around its body as it put up a light screen to illuminate the way as the group moved forward. "don't suppose anyone here is expecting more trouble? it seems to always be right around the corner."

what happens before him is...well its both intriguing and horrifying. everyone is a little too gung-ho about offering up pieces of themselves to these shrines even after the absolute near mauling they got from the bamboo forest. it shouldn't be too surprising when he collects his thoughts about it and watches them all.

it was all in the glory of team rocket.

he should at leas share some of that team spirit shouldn't he? as he looks over to the shrines he moves over to the northern shrine and runs a hand along its wooden frame, making sure that its pressing just hard enough for a splinter to draw a drop of blood from his finger. with an all too enthusiastic grin he takes the bleeding finger and smears the blood along the inside of the bowl and watches as it evaporates in an instant. then he feels it, the tingling sensation that shoots up from his feet and up along his body, his skin feeling like its moving along his whole body as he starts to scratch at his back.

he can't contain his wails of pain as he feels the new wings this opportunity gives him to soar on.

unlike the many who's transformation looks like a mutation his takes on a different aesthetic. its almost metallic in some kind of way as if instead of changing his body the transformation is giving him a suit of armor in the shape of a graceful bird. his magneton can only split apart and circle around him ready to lift him back up to his feet once he's done undergoing this new change.

but cossack can rise up on his own feet.

no...rise up isn't right.

cossack can now soar for the glory of team rocket. soar on the new wings and power that he's gotten himself.
