The Not-So-Great Kalos Bake-Off [M]

So, the mission was just to bake little pastries? That was it?? No stealing pokemon or swindling a corrupt company that went on operating beneath the League's noses? Well, Sion-Komi would be a liar if she said she wasn't pleasantly surprised by this simple goal. Being a native Kalosian herself, Sio-Ko had no problem making pokepuffs, eclairs, and other goodies of the like. She figured she could also take the time to set up a stream to watch the absolute chaos and hilarity that was cooking within her winter-themed den.[break][break]

Not only that, but within the message sent to her said that she should expect someone by the name of "Eris" or someone similar to her place of residence when outside the base of operations. The notifications was quip and strictly-to-the-point, giving details to the Distortion Realm with Giratina. "Hmm. Well, we can make this work, right, Gary?" The Snom looked up to the woman in reply. He was usually quite noisy but the thought of food and helping Sion-Komi with baking and chilling gave the incentive to behave. "Chunky boy. You're a slave to your own appetite, huh?" She jokes. [break][break]

Before the hour passes, she has the lighting, ingredients for a few select pastries strewn about the countertop, cameras, and other bits and ends set up for a livestream. Her trademark pokemon and the little cuddly bear she caught at the safari zone, Cassie the Lopunny and Bibi the Stufful, were kept away in their pokeballs, in fear of an accident befalling either of them. Gary, Sootclaw, and Noémie (her shiny Luvdisc from the very same safari zone trip) were in the stools within the view of the camera, prepared for their debut. Noémie was in a small bowl with a gracious amount of room at the top for the little fish to poke her head out, in case of a very nosy personality. [break][break]

Oh, how exciting it was to go speed dating! She hadn't done this in quite some time. Sadly, the last time Sion-Komi had done something like this, she had met her ex-boyfriend; he was more attached to her than most people would be. There was a lot she could tolerate or meet part-way for her intended partner, but he was far beyond what most people considered to be sane. With luck, it would be much smoother this time around![break][break]

Cassie the Lopunny found herself a seat next to her trainer, fidgeting with the fluff on her ears. Sion-Komi sets her phone's camera facing herself, the livestream wishing the Xatuber luck on her dates. The first was yet to show, but she didn't mind. Externally, she seemed very calm and collected but her insides were filled with energetic Butterfree. Then the bell rang and there they were. The 'rabbit-ear'muffs bounced as Sion-Komi waved her hands at the potential partner. "Hi there! I'm Sion-Komi and this is one of my Co-Hosts and my seeing-eye-pokemon, Cassie." The Lopunny paused as she heard her name, happily waving her paws in greeting before messing with her ears again. "So, what do you do in your spare time?"

With a click to the button, Stufful disappeared ina lash of red light into the ball. One,Two, Three...and Success! Sion-komi put the new-found companion among a pocket in her merch hoodie, squealing to herself in excitement. She was sure to get wonderful view counts after introducing this little one to her followers! The little bear seemed so sweet and observant. Perhaps she and Gary could take turns sitting in her lap and on her desk between streams![break][break]

However, the woman had no noticed that her Torracat had his eyes elsewhere. He had made way over to a decently sized creek deeper within the forest, playing by the shoreline. When she came back to her senses, she followed the gaze of the astonished Sootclaw. "Oh. My. Gosh!" Lophunny was too stunned to speak; she had seen a shiny pokemon!!! Weren't those ultra rare and hard to find?! There was the third piece of the puzzle of who was going to be the final member of her party![break][break]

With little hesitation the woman procured a Safari Ball from a sleeve, lobbing it at the oddity in the school of Luvdisc about.

It was as if Arceus himself were listening to her. There long the treeline of the entryway, there was a trio of Stufful. Two of them were rough-housing around one another as the third sat nearby to watch. Sion-Komi has to remind herself to bottle her glee. As quietly as possible, she crouches down by a nearby bush for cover and summons Sootclaw, her Torracat. The fiery feline stretched, happy to have some time to move around from within the orb. She pointed over the hedge to the playful bear-like pokemon, whispering a command to him. [break][break]

The feline crept from his place to the gathering of Stufful. Wary to not startle them, Sootclaw used the move lick against the female creature, calm and hopefully paralyzed. The other two that were once playing together are quick to abandon their playground and comrade to the fire-type. Sootclaw meowed for Sion-Komi, the woman quick to hop up and tend to the little pink creature."I'll take care of you, don't worry little one." Sio-Ko grabs one of the three safari balls and attempts to collect the little cutie. [break][break]

She had always heard tell of places like this, but it was only today that Sio-Ko set foot into a Safari Zone. There was a list of the types of pokemon that were common between certain seasons. At least, that was what tales of her co-workers had come back saying. Between members of the syndicate that had been recently, it lit a sparkle in the Xatuber's eyes. Eevee? That was a cute little fluffy baby with the ability to evolve into an elegant Glaceon! Not only that, but a Stufful! One of Alola's most popular pokemon a part of her team? That would certainly send her approval through the islands through the roof! Hopefully Sion-Komi would run into both of these little lovlies on her hunt, but she had a spare ball to catch another cutie that caught her eye![break][break]

"Quelle journée ensoleillée, non ?" "What a sunny day, no?" Sion-Komi asks her Lopunny. Her dark parasol twirled absent-mindedly above Sio-ko, her double-strength sunscreen protecting her from the rays others could so carelessly walk through. Cassie, the rabbit pokemon, guided her owner across the unfamiliar terrain. She was used to tending to the Xatuber's needs since she was a little Buneary, so nothing she could do would be seen as a bother. The woman chuckles while Cassie helps her down a short ledge, "Si seulement je n'étais pas allergique au soleil, ce serait une journée parfaite! Haha!" "If only I weren't allergic to the sun, it would be a perfect day!" [break][break]

Sio-Ko jests with her snuggly pokemon in Kalosian until the sight of a secluded beach catches her attention. Her red eyes sparkle with delight; she just had to take a photo! Sadly, she had to be careful about where she went to go swimming but once the moon rose over the horizon, Sio-Ko would certainly make a combeeline for this route. From what she could see, there may have been a few couples or small friend groups down by the water's edge, but that did not spoil the photo. "Can't...wait..to...go...night diving. Aaaand send!" She smiled as she made a new post on her Instagram. Once she tucks her phone away, she takes a quick break, resting beneath a large stone overpass, using her parasol for added protection.[break][break]
