"come on," he mumbles softly, even as the large gremlin huffs and puffs.

he understands, at least, why the grimmsnarl is so irritated by the weather. the coarse hair on its body takes forever to dry and the damp sensation is unpleasant.

"let's wait it out under the trees."

it's not a solution but... it's better than the gremlin's temper getting worse. besides, it's somewhat dry beneath the cover of leaves. their bodies shift to observe the path ahead from the tree trunks, his upper body lazily leaning into sturdy bark.

now, they wait... he has a schedule to uphold today but passing time until then by growing his ranks isn't half bad.
