So, hey. Listen.

August's young, broke, and can't actually remember if you're supposed to wash rice before you cook it. He accepted the egg with little fanfare- the object nearly the size of his own head. And then he started reaching for cheese. And tomatoes.

He can't exactly remember if he's the one who manhandled the food stand away from its owner, but the resulting omelette was big enough to feed a few people- and he wasn't averse to sharing the fruits of his labor. [break]

Plus, he probably didn't mean to... y'know. He grumbled to himself, wiping the mud-stained aluminum object on a pant cuff. "Just... Don't go grabbin' people, yeah? Yeah." 100 to 0 in two seconds. He turned down to the aipom. "You too," he scratched his nose. "'least ask first."

It's when the cane first starts sinking into the damp ground that August realizes he may have fucked up.[break][break]

Route 101 was infamous for having docile pokemon, which was great, because he really needed to catch one or four but didn't actually own one to begin with- but like, it had rained a few days ago and the natural shade sorta kept a lot of the water from evaporating. [break][break]

He stumbled forward slightly over nothing in particular. Cold nerves raced up and down his right leg with a painful caress and a vibrant swear that'd make most moms slap him on principle. [break][break]

If someone challenged him to a battle, he was going to crack them across the skull with his cane. Holy shit. He gently pulled the object out of the mud with a squelch. Eugh. Re-affirming his left-handed grip, August made the tactical decision to test the ground before putting his weight forward.[break][break]

This might have been a tactical error. Squelch. "Fuck."

August was supposed to start his journey in Sinnoh several years ago. However, an accident of some sort mangled his right leg; he has permanent nerve damage and usually needs a cane to walk. [break][break]
He's extremely tight-lipped about his past- the only information it's possible to get out of him is that he transitioned some time ago, his favorite color is yellow, and he used to be a band kid in school. [break][break]
He currently has no pokemon and subsists entirely on pocket change. August almost certainly needs adult supervision but vehemently denies it.[break][break]
Incredibly loud, obnoxious, and acts like a general gobshite in an effort to get attention. He gets clowned on by almost everyone he ever meets, but it does literally nothing to dent his ego.
