He'd missed the initial catch and found himself staring at an aggressively flopping Sharpedo as it pulled it onto the space beside him. For just a few moments, he stared at it as if processing the fact that it was there, though his attention had been promptly and sharply snapped upon the fact that it seemed to begin snapping at him.[break][break]

Its jaws hadn't been nearly as big as others of its specimen, but he'd have been stupid to expect a bite from them not to hurt.[break][break]

So, with a quick step back, as well as a yell of surprise, he gave a hiss of a sigh before tossing another Pokeball down to apprehend it. He watched as it rustled so vigorously within its binds, only to fall dormant before long.[break][break]

Triumph, something that tasted so, so delicious when it deemed fit to visit. The taste had been one to savor (or maybe it was just the lingering saltwater in his mouth?) as he and his Mantine balanced themselves atop the water once more, drenched not by the waters of another failure, but the splash and spray of their return to said waters.[break][break]

"Lessee, what was that next one...?" he muttered, tapping the beast beneath them as if it could answer him. "Do ya know? I'm sure ya know, yeah?"[break][break]
