[break] born in the cozy town of fallarbor, camille was raised by a single father who was an archaeologist who was ever rarely home. as a result, she spent most of her time with either her grandparents or her childhood best friend. afternoon spent dozing in the fallarbor sun, hands dusted red with dirt or hair full of wildflower stems, she fell in love with the way saplings seemed to sprout from nothing, the way flowers seemed to grow even on tangled vines. [break][break] when she was seventeen, she went away for college to kalos. saying goodbye to her best friend was a heartbreak like no other, but there was too much at stake to stay home. she stayed in contact with him through old school mail (there was something romantic about it, she said) even though it was sometimes weeks before she would get a flour-printed letterhead in return (there was something slow about it, he'd respond). friends come and went, and soon, camille had graduated with a degree in botony and was on her way to her adult life. [break][break] she tried traveling - tried to see the world that she'd read through her mother's old diaries - but in the end, when her father grew ill, she returned home again. back to fallarbor, the only home she'd ever known.
