Dorian chuckled at the captive's display of impotent defiance. "The day I smash my hammer into his kneecaps will be a glorious day! I will make him watch as Mauville falls, before I kill him myself!", Dorian declared. The personal hatred he carried for the Gym Leader was clear as crystal in his tone.

"Beautiful, isn't it?", Dorian asked her, as if twisting the knife further.

As Dorian lead the captive to their destination. If she were to pay attention, she'd realize he was leading her towards a stage with a podium he had set up for the occasion. The Rocket Grunts were herding the captive civilians around a sort of race track, to bear witness to what he had planned for their fallen Ranger Captain.

"Funny that you mention Devlin, though~", Dorian trailed off, leaving her to dwell on the meaning of his words.

"Because even this monster has lines he doesn't want to cross.", Dorian admitted to Eris. Harming children was one of his most defined lines. The moments where he actually crossed that line, whether by accident, or being forced to do so, haunted him the most.

"Because I love you, Eris!", Dorian admitted to her. "I love you like a daughter, and I always have! I don't have it in me to hurt you like that! I've already hurt you enough.", Dorian continued, tears continuing to stream down his face. "And yet, I know I'm only going to continue to hurt you. No matter what I do, it will only cause you to suffer."

It was inevitable that he was going to hurt her again. His very participation in Rocket's activities hurt her. He knew it all too well. He was torn between his paternal love of her, and his loyalty to Rocket.

"That is unfortunate, but that's the nature of our business.", Dorian remarked. A clear lie, as he relished in the more violent aspects of it. Though he was the sort to prefer 'humiliation' over a 'vacation', a job was a job. "Consider it done. They'll be sent on such a heavenly vacation, that they'll never want to return to Hoenn again!", Dorian responded to the woman.

That vacation being the stomach of his trusted Emboar, Porkchop. Being no stranger to corpse disposal, as Naia Kayode could unfortunately attest to, the Emboar was the perfect means of making people disappear.

"Now, where can I potentially chat with this intrepid rival of ours? I want to make sure he has all the time and focus he needs to hear me out, after all.", Dorian asked Allegra.

"It's our home now! Just like the rest of Hoenn will soon become!", Dorian jeered at his hostage, laughing manically at the sights in front of him.

He had to wonder how Rocket's PR team was going to spin all this. How they'd discredit or otherwise silence those who'd attempt to speak out on what they went through in Petalburg.

Dorian grinned as she no doubt drank in what became of her precious city. Their newest stronghold. How they converted their Ranger HQ into an illicit lab. A direct slap in the face of the Rangers, and everything they stood for.

"You've never seen a Genesect?", Dorian scoffed in disbelief. "Actually, you met before, the day we met on the shores of that island!", Dorian revealed to her.

The same Genesect that pulled Dorian out of that hopeless fight. A real wound to his pride, having to actually retreat from a fight. Though one could say his treatment of Shalin was revenge for the humiliation he endured, it wasn't enough. No, he wished he could've been the one to bring her to heel in Petalburg. He wanted to defeat her in real battle.

But for now, he'd relish in his role as her jailer. Make life as hellish as possible for the Ranger, while she was their 'honored guest.'

Today was a special day.

Rather than the usual torture that they planned on making Shalin endure, Dorian had something grander in mind. The Mad Dog grinned as he felt the cool breeze hit his face. He looked over to his prisoner, who was affixed to his Genesect. The blindfold kept her from perceiving her surroundings, at least visually.

When she came to, and started to question what was going on, Dorian remained silent for the moment, as if building tension. The Mad Dog made it a point to have other prisoners housed in Petalburg all be huddled outside by their jailers, to observe as the captive Ranger Captain was paraded around the occupied city, like a sort of twisted war trophy.

Finally, once they were in position, Dorian ripped off the blindfold. "Home sweet home~", Dorian revealed mockingly.

As Shalin's eyes adjusted to daylight, she'd be greeted with the sight of Rocket-occupied Petalburg, and all of the hostages they kept in town, along with the grunts who oversaw them.

As the woman departed, Dorian slowly picked himself up. He then got onto the back of the Baron.

"Let's - head back to camp.", Dorian told the Entei-like beast in a strained manner.

The Baron lowered themselves, in order to accommodate Dorian. From there, the Mad Dog slumped onto the back of the beast, as it raced back towards the nearest Rocket outpost.

From there, he'd get his Pokemon, and himself, much needed medical attention.

Dorian watched as the Stoutland went down. Though it wasn't a kill, the fact that the officer was left with no Pokemon might as well have been a death sentence.

Dorian frowned at the woman's vulgarity. Despite this, he knew he was in no shape to drag her back to camp, even if she was not in much shape to resist herself.

"Normally, I'd laugh at such a request. But I'm feeling - generous. I'll let you run as fast as you can. But you'd better be careful, my comrades might not be as - accommodating.", Dorian told the woman with a grin.

With her broken ribs, she'd better hope that no other Rockets spotted her. Especially not the Kanto Rockets.

Dorian watched as the Charizard slammed the Togekiss into the ground, breaking the officer's ribs in the process. Dorian laughed for a moment, before hissing in pain.

She had a moment to flee. With her one last Pokemon, she could've turned tail, and raced off on the back of the Stoutland. But instead, she continued to fight. The Thunder Fang finished what the Togekiss started. With a final roar of pain, the Charizard went down, reverting back to her normal state.

"Not bad.", Dorian remarked, as he recalled the beast. He then sent out his next Pokemon, a Gouging Fire. The Sunlight left by the Charizard activated Protosynthesis, augmenting the strength of the ancient Entei.

"Crush Claw!", Dorian ordered.

The beast rushed the Stoutland, raising one of its paws up, before attempting to smash it down on the dog.

Dorian watched as the Krookodile went down to the Flamethrower. Though she recalled them before they could die to it, he was overall pleased with his work.

Still, even if she wasn't the strongest opponent, her tenacity in the face of overwhelming odds impressed him. "Most would've fled by now! I don't know if you're brave, or just stupid, but you've earned my respect! Bravo!", Dorian remarked, slowly clapping, before hopping onto the back of his Charizard.

Such a reckless choice would cost him, however. As the Togekiss slammed into the Charizard, Dorian was knocked off her back. Landing with a thud, Dorian groaned and struggled.

In retaliation, the Charizard latched onto the Togekiss, before attempting to slam them into the ground with a brutal Counter.

"A weirdo, you say? That's the - nicest descriptor I've heard from you League parasites!", Dorian remarked, with his evil laughter.

He was used to being called a monster. A butcher. Fitting names, considering the atrocities he committed in Kanto alone.

Dorian watched as the Armor Cannon took out the opposing Rotom with ease. But before he could celebrate much, the Krookodile took to the field. The combination of prior wear from the battles earlier, and in the case of the Count, the side-effect of Armor Cannon, both of his Pokemon went down to the Earthquake. Dorian too was knocked down, grunting.

"Not bad!", Dorian remarked, as he struggled to get up. He quickly recalled his two fallen Pokemon. "But not good enough!"

Dorian grabbed the custom-embroidered Luxury Ball containing one of his Charizards. With a harsh throw that threatened to hit the officer, a Charizard took to the field, with a mighty roar. "Flaming Lizzy, shall we show this pig what true power is?", Dorian asked, before hitting a Keystone on him.

The Mega Stone attached to the Charizard reacted, enveloping her in a cocoon of power, before it shattered to reveal a Mega Charizard-Y. As she emerged, the sky cleared of clouds, allowing harsh sunlight to beam down unimpeded.

The Mega Evolved Charizard fired a Flamethrower towards the Krookodile.
