So close... one could almost mistake the two for lovers. When she whispers, the song comes closer to the finale. As it ends, her motions come to their halt... and then silence.[break][break]

Nothing but hitched breathing and a heartbeat that spiked with the press of her body to his.[break][break]

His eyes trace her lips, up slowly to her emerald gaze, a gentle breeze upon the wind that matched her typing. When her hands come to his hands, he's placed firmly on her hips, and with her half-lidded gaze, he focuses in, he smiles. He doesn't have a shit-eating grin, he doesn't have a smug looking smirk, no it's just... smiling. Magnus.[break][break]

He almost says it exactly similarly, but turns his gaze. He won't say it, because he can't. He can't promise the words that would come out would be genuine. Why put that out there? So instead... as she kisses him, with that heated need, he shuts his eyes.[break][break]

A king must be the thirstiest, the loudest, the strongest. That rung so true to how Magnus had considered it. But as he begins to swoon side-to-side, he could feel himself about to falter when-[break][break]

"Thanks." Keira. Both her and Marshall showed their resolve, almost every day. It was true that a king had to be all of those things, but it was nice, knowing that while he was all of those things, that the safety net always was there. He did not have to die the lone king above all. This was a gang. He was a pack leader, not a king. Though he led similar to one, it was thanks to these two, to his whole gang, that he could achieve his own dream.[break][break]

What was that? He'd never say it openly.[break][break]

The cool water on his wrist was doing wonders as he sighed in relief. It wouldn't end the heat exhaustion, it wouldn't fix him up forever, but it did enough for the moment to give him some respite from the alien desert sun.[break][break]

Halle and Berry yip together, circling each other as Jo-Jo enjoyed the sun, helping Magnus with the cloth onto his neck, that immediately rejuvenated some life into the shirtless, ripped man. He's gonna get a sunburn beyond the likes of which no one has ever seen. That was his price, but beats Slade or Kei getting it. Something he would not allow, at least, not without walking up to the sun and slapping the shit out of it.[break][break]

When they find the obelisk, Magnus sees the massive shadow too, and practically races for it, sliding under it. The defense against the solar hell was like walking into a room with an air conditioner from a hot day out in the sun. It brought life back to Magnus, but the question was now... the hell was it they stood under?[break][break]

"I wonder... seems like the middle of nowhere. There's probably more of 'em, right?" Already, he was looking and feeling better, Jo-Jo applying the cloth to his forehead now. Such a cute sight with the cowboy-hat-wearing Riolu caring for the big guy. "Wonder if there are more?" He begins to round the structure, staring more at the structure over where he was going. He disappears from view for just a moment.[break][break]

Halle and Berry stop, and whine near Keira and Marshall both. The sounds of grunts, and curses can be heard from the other side of the obelisk.[break][break]

Because he was already knee deep in a massive pool of quicksand, and as he's trying to pull himself out, not even his own muscles can assist.[break][break]

"Fuck." No dice. Magnus was going to die here. "Kei. Slade. Watch your footing. Quicksand's got me." He commands them both, in a very authoritative tone. He wasn't afraid of dying.[break][break]

The thing about their gang, their pack? Dogs watch out for their own. Something Magnus knew well. Keira and Marshall weren't stupid. They'd find a way out. They had to.[break][break]
