Vee looked at Magnus for a bit, frowning in embarrassment as she had been touched so hard. There came an awkward pause as the mechanic looked away, cursing silently to herself. It took a few seconds for her to break the silence between them, but then soon would let out a huff. "Sorry, boss. I...don't like being touched without me seein' it..." It was a less energetic, more sullen tone than the girl put on. Noodle would slithered over and wander up her leg as she looked down in defeat. The Dunsparce had bumped into her hand as her frown would eventually break, petting the normal type's head while then looking back to the door as the doorbell rang.

Halle and Berry were the first ones to chase after her as she went to the door, as Vee looked down and tried to quell their excitement. "H-Hey, you guys! Calm down!" She tried to block their mad dash to bark at the delivery driver with her foot while opening the door with an apologetic smirk. "Sorry about 'em. How much do we owe ya?"

Once both of them was nice and fed, Vee would sit back down on the couch and listen to Magnus as he would go on about who he had met first. She had known that Marshall and him had met in juvie, although Vee had known partially why Magnus was in there. There was no way she was going to ask him though, manners and being afraid of upsetting him again. "Damn, guess I'm one of the newest people to join up." she said, leaning back into her seat and shoveling another heaping portion of ramen into her mouth. She swallowed and then would continue on. "We're kind of a family, I think." Vee said, knowing full well of how she felt about that. Her self-doubt about being a full member and if she was really welcome here. But again, no way she'd make the same mistake twice. But yet, the girl would look over after a five-minute break.

"Boss, I, um...How come you let me join the gang?" she asked heartfully, looking down at the dogs surrounding them with a frown. "I was a part of another gang, young and dumb, and yet you still let me in. I just wanna know how come."

"Yeah, might as well. It was a nice distraction." Vee said, standing up as she'd begin to stretch a little, feeling stiff from sitting around for a bit. Once she was nice a limber, the mechanic spun back around to Marshall with one of her usual confident grins. But something caught her eye as a glimmering Pokémon would hover about to her right. She turned over just in time to catch sight of a Glimmora hissing at the two. Noodle quickly came to his owner's aid, the Dunsparce wriggling as threateningly as he could manage. "Drill Run, Noodle." Noodle would raised its stinger into the sky before then thrusting it towards the rock type. It tanked the hit, but the Glimmora would be somewhat unaffacted. It puffed up, spikes jjutting from its body as Noodle attempted to drill it again and again. By the third time or so, the Glimmora would fall to the ground in a weakened state.

Vee tossed a Pokeball at the small little thing, and once caught, nod to Marshall again. They began the walk back to the bike near the road. Before she got on, Vee stopped. "Hey, Marshal..." she began. Before he could answer, the younger girl would wrap her arms around him in a small hug, squeezing for a bit. "Thanks for the help." she said softly, smiling at him before throwing her leg over the bike. "And if you tell anyone about this, I'm pouring sugar in your gas tank."

Marshall Slade

Vee groaned again, the usual teenage angst when something was bothering them but they didn't want to admit it. She huffed and looked back up at Marshall as he at least knew how it felt to be put in a system nobody cared about. Just passing kids through without a care in the world. And look how that went for the both of them. She sat up as a nearby Sneasler was wandering around and decided to try her luck. Noodle hopped off of her head and squirmed over towards the Fighting/Poison type, using Drill Runn to strike against the wild Pokemon. Vee frowned before shifting her head around, bumping Marshall's arm.

"Since we're both runaways and from the same system, that just means I have to make sure that nobody beats the shit outta you again." she smiled a bit, her mood improving a little bit as she checked back in to see Noodle using Double Edge against the Sneasler. Once it was weakened, Vee threw out a Pokeball to catch the Pokemon. "Sound like a deal?"

Marshall Slade

Her hair's ruffle, as Vee physically winced at the sudden touch to her head. It was like she had been punched in the face by an invisible hand with how she flinched. Recollections of a physical, phantom force. A wrench swung at her head. Boots kicking her all around, and a hand wrapped around her throat. The air tasted thicker than normal, the smaller gang mamber gasped as she broke out into a cold sweat. Her hand shot up to his, heart racing as her grip was tight. Vee's eyes showcased a sudden frighten before she caught herself and let Magnus' hand go. "Y-Yeah. Really fuckin' amazin' if either of 'em could do that...yeah." She cleared her throat, attempting to play this little thing off.

Magnus put on the movie as Vee looked down at Latte, smiling a bit as he seemed to be doing better. Her hand slowly moved back down to shower the pup in affection, sometimes moving to tease the rest of Magnus pack. Of course, she'd have to lean over or on his lap fully to do this, the smaller mechanic distracting herself. The front door was knocked on as Vee shot up. "Food's here!" she raced over and collected all the bags before handing Magnus his order over while sitting down and shoveling food into her face.

"Hey, Boss. How did you start your lil' Pokémon wolf pack? Did you just have everyone from day one?"

Jack Magnus

Vee laughed alongside Marshall, entertained by his playful little pose to her little snide remark. She really could imagine that him and the boss were pretty much the same people they had been since coming across them a short year ago. "A booze run, huh? Typical. I figured you woulda been stealin' somethin' worth way more. But it must have been pretty good shit to be liftin' it from somewhere." He asked about how long she had been in the foster care system as her playful expression flatered a tad. Eyes shot towards a nearby Morgrim rummaging about in the grass. Her mind debated telling Marshall about it. Weakness was something she didn't need to go blabbing about. But they were supposed to be a family, right? That was what Keira always said to her, even if she was so worried. Vee looked back to Marshall for a moment then cursed to herself, throwing a rock at the Morgrem out of frustration.

"Since I was born." she answered, giving a huff of shame. "Never even knew my real folks. Just passed off from one family to another, like some shitty mantlepiece to feel good about. Never really stuck with anyone else and when I was fifteen, I ran away. Joined up with that gang you destroyed, the Hellhounds. Then Keira found me one day starving to death and the rest is history." She answered at Marshall. Another awkward pause came as Vee leaned back on the rock, throwing her arms in front of her. Noodle carefully slithered up her leg and slowly made his way towards her head through her torso. She was silent for three seconds or so before then groaning, looking away after stomping her foot.

"Ugh, what the fuck am I doing?! I don't care about them. They didn't want me and I don't want them. You guys at least make me feel useful."

It was a pretty neat little look into the beginnings of their gang. Vee leaned forward in interest as Marshall went on to explain how the both of them had met in juvie. Completely on brand for Orthrus members, really. But the tale turned dark when it was revealed why Magnus had been put there in the first place. "He almost killed his own Dad?" she repeated, pursing her lips in thought. "I mean, I kind of don't know how that could feel like. But Boss seems like the type to almost kill a guy." It was an awkward sort of angle as Vee would play with her dreads for a bit, uncertain of what she should say that didn't amount to "I'm an orphan lol". After a bit, she'd grin at the second in command, crossing her arms as a passing Sinarek would crawl nearby on a tree.

"I betcha looked the same as you did now when you were sixteen. Back then I was still running from foster home to foster home. But what'd you steal that landed you in juvie anyway? Something expensive?"

Marshall Slade

"Heh, yeah, that'll be fuckin' sweet. The whole lot of us on Cyclizars~"

She was still recovering from the impact of the landing, as the young mechanic would grin up at the older male. Her arms shook and slooooowly pushed her body up to sit upright. "I didn't know you had a twin, Marshall. And he looks way like you." She said grinning, forcing herself back up to her feet. Vee may have almost fallen but quickly caught herself. She couldn't stand the idea of being any more of a pain in the ass to the gang than she already was. So she'd brush off that little fight and exhale. "Lemme rest some after that. Sorry if I worried ya. Nobody's carrying Noodle off without makin' sure I'm dead first." The Dunsparce waved it's wings a bit as Vee picked him up to her face and gave him a quick squeeze before setting him down. They sat down on some comfortable looking rocks for a bit as Vee looked to Marshal with a curious look.

"So I never really got to ask. How'd you meet the boss?" Vee asked, referring to their loveable pack of muscle and love for anything canine related, Jack Magnus . I only know about ORTHRUS after you guys came here. Anythin' beyobd that's out of my league." Nearby, a few pokemon would wander about, with a squid-like one bobbing up and down as Vee's eyes fell onto it, but she didn't seem too interested.

Marshall Slade

"Nothin' to it when ya've got the best teacher in the gang~" The two continued scouring through the brush as Vee bounded along in search of another Pokemon to catch. Noodle slithered through the grass in front of her as she listened to Marshall's question. "Nothin' really in specific. I was just seein' what's out here was all. I'd kill for one of them Cyclizars though." She grinned wide at the thought of riding it around one day. During her fantasies, she tripped on something nearby and landed face first on a patch of grass. Whatever she had tripped over would begin to shake as a massive form would grow from the bushes. Vee spat out some grass just in time to see the massive form of Hydreigon looming over her.

"Oooh, this one's real nasty lookin'. Hit 'em with Drill Rush!"

The Dunsparce lunged into action,, tackling into the dragon type and stabbing his tail into the beast. It proved to be more of an annoyance than anything, as the Hydreigon would slowly flap itself into the air with Noodle as Vee would gasp. "Get back here!" she called out, sprinting after the two as she dove and held onto the wild Pokémon's tail. The sudden upset in balance would force the large bodied Pokemon to fumble about while it rose higher and higher into the air. The three heads would all latched onto Noodle, who was doing its best to wriggle out. Vee felt the ground beneath her vanish as her grasp on the tail, now flailing all around in an attempt to rid itself of her, was was failing. "Noodle!" she called out. "Hyper Drill the main head!"

The Dunsparce's tail would be pumped full of energy, growing to a massive size as it was raised high in the sky before coming down onto the Hydreigon's main head. The impact was enough to knock it unconscious as the form would fall back to the earth only a few short feet above. Noodle had slipped out of its grasp as Vee caught him midflight and shielded him from the fall. Thankfully, they'd land on the unconscious Hydreigon with a thud and roll off to side while Vee held up an empty pokeball and threw it against the wild Pokémon.

"That looked pretty cool, huh?"

Marshall Slade

Marshall had put on quite the little display for the little mechanic. Vee watched as the co-founder of the gang gave her a pretty brief rundown on how Pokemon were caught. He had her full attention, with the girl's eyes bouncing from his Garchomp across from the Scrafty that was picking a fight with it. Marshall made quick work of the thing as she nodded her head along with him. So putting it to sleep and more would work, but then again, beating the stuffing out of it would work even better. The rogue fighting type was caught and Downshift seemed peppy enough for such a wild Pokémon win.

"Huh, seems easy 'nuff." Vee said, rolling her head around her shoulder. The pink tendrils of hair fell along with her as she gave him a more confident nod. "My turn! And I know who's gunna snag a big one." One Pokeball toss later and Noodle, the Dunsparce, would be ready to go. It let out a soft cry and waggled away as the girl started searching around in the brushes for any Pokémon. It was probably a pretty risky idea for her to go out and pick fights like this, but what good was being in a gang if bad decisions weren't included? It didn't take long before she stumbled across a lone Sableye, digging around in the ground. The perfect prey.

"Alright, Noodle. Let's get to work!"

The Dunsparce swaggled (yeah, it's a verb!) towards the dark type as it hissed and bore its claws. She tried to recall what Marshall said about status effects. One of them would definitely come in handy here. "Hey, Noodle, Yawn!" The Dunsparce would let out a soft Kyuuuu~, opening its mouth wide as the Sableye would begin to grow more sluggish. It went to slash the Normal type, although before it could even lay a claw on the Dunsparce, it would fall to the ground, asleep. Vee went around to get a Pokeball and toss it at the Sableye, landing with a click as she pumped her fist. "Heh, nothin' too it!~" she cheered, glancing over towards Marshall again. "C'mon, let's go hunt for more! I wanna get cooler Pokemon like you and Magnus."

Noodle let out a noise as she rolled her eyes, picking her special boy up. "I didn't mean it like that. Nothin's as cool as you, Noodle."

Marshall Slade

So far, so good. Magnus was distracted her little little play about asking him his favorite movie. He'd up and onto his DVD stash right while explaining to her what each one was. The first two seemed like the usual action movie, but did he seriously just whip out a kids' movie? She shot him a look while choosing between the offered movies, as the woman hummed to herself. "That's a pretty hard choice you're makin' me go through. And are you callin' me some kind of kid? I'm 19! Old enough to see any of your favorite movies." She replied back to him as her eyes went between all 3 movie titles. It wasn't too long after that a finger shot forward and pressed against the cover.

"Bullet Train first, then we'll see about the Boondock Saints."

Vee offered to order food from a local Chinese place, getting everything that Magnus and her wanted. It was a restaurant everyone visited regularly, and one of the first places Keira Torres had taken Vee too before taking her to see Magnus about a year ago. She recalled the food being delicious, but then again, when you were half starving any kind of food tasted amazing. While getting his order, the mechanic eyed the canines to make sure everyone was doing alright. Latte seemed to be doing somewhat better, and Vee even reached down to play with his head gently again.

The phone hung up as the girl landed back on the couch. "We've got a couple minutes before it gets here. We can start now, unless you wanna watch Air Bud. You think that dog can really lay basketball, or is it just hypin' it up?"

Latte had the pill pushed down his throat as the Houndoom continued whining and panting during the entire ordeal. It was utter heartbreak for Magnus to listen to, that much was certain. Vee quietly watched him as she continued to kneel down and pet Latte as she gave a thumbs up to the other man. "Anytime. Latte's a part of the family like any of us." She could tell he was overstressed with this, and shared some of his pain at least. It wasn't her companion and his pain was twice the amount of her own, but the most she could do was to be there for the both of them. After a few more hand licks, Vee got up to work on helping the other wounded animal in the room.

"It's no biggie, boss. Honest. I'm just glad I could get here in time." She said, sitting down next to him. The size difference was noticeable, but she still tired something to help him feel better. Her hand fall on his arm as the girl tried to smile a little. It took a few pats here and there before she'd look back at the resting Houndoom. "Just don't beat yourself up, boss. You couldn't have known what Latte ate. Let's just...No, I know he'll pull through. He's your dog, right?" Vee said, trying to force a grin out of the man as she patted his back. "That means he's just as strong as you are."

Magnus appeared to be feeling slightly better and even offered takeout from them. Her stomach growled softly while the mechanic laughed a little and leaned back in her seat. "I'm game! Show me your favorite movie. Something that you can watch over and over and over again." She tried to appeal to his interests, attempting to distract him from the pain of almost losing a beloved member of the family. Every now and again, Vee would look over to check on Latte and make sure she was feeling alright. Just walking over to pet her, check on the other dogs, and such.
