The night was full of terrors, Aloe knew, but he hadn't expected those terrors to be brought upon by sharp-teethed puppies that looked as if they belonged in the mafia. Hell, maybe they did; but just what sicko in the mafia would bring about a horde such as this one, allowing all of their canines to run free in the streets? They for sure would be caught, fought against, maybe even the worst- and cute little puppies didn't deserve that fate, even if they were willing to carry out such nefarious deeds.[break][break]

Looking at them from the balcony of a restaurant, the tattoo artist sighed as he saw them stampeding down the streets, tugging at knapsacks and causing them to release all of their contents. The Maobstiff were cute in their own way, and he was selfish; throwing a pokeball and ducking behind the balcony once more, he hoped it wouldn't piss them off even more. He figured he'd be safe up so high, but if they could climb? That would be so damn wild.[break][break]

Maybe he'd be able to use that madness to his advantage if that was how they truly acted when not in social situations. If he got to that point at all, as if they were members of the mafia, he'd surely get shot for even considering snatching up one of their chaos puppies. But that was all kind of silly to think about, he assumed such a broad organization would be much more organized than a group of lackey terrorists. They were probably just wild and overly excited.[break][break]

It wasn't a very common occurrence to have people make appearances at his shop without an appointment, and though he occasionally did walk-ins, he anticipated that informing the stranger that he was just about to close would result in a frown. Leaving the rag he was using to disinfect the seating area of the lobby, Aloe walked through a string and jewel divider to meet the one that triggered the bell that came with opening the studio's door.[break][break]

The stranger was direct in being the first to talk, though the question that followed the inquisition of his name was wildly concerning to hear, being that it was true. Was such a slow day like this one going to be his last day of freedom? He felt he had to be cautious with his words in case the man was someone who could prove a threat, someone who knew too much and wasn't afraid to use such information against him. Someone like him, perhaps. Raising a hand to strum through the soft fabric fluttering from one of the Chimecho, he sighed.[break][break]

"In the flesh," he spoke softly, looking the man up and down, ".. but that last part, my answer changes depending on who asks. Why?" Letting the person know that he was fixing to close shop for the night was out of the question now, by the looks of it.

Elbow met with the skirt enveloping his knees, Aloe listened with intent, soaking up all the words that had vacated Mika's lips. With her expression of charm granted by the wine he chuckled at the inability of their previous loveships being able to compete with one another, but how could they, when relationships were uniquely woven between each person in the land? Flicking the ash of his cigarette out the window once more, he twirled his finger around a golden chime draped from his earlobe.[break][break]

"Lovers torn apart by war and splits of the regions.. it's a shame, nobody should have to go through such things," he said softly, letting out an empathetic sigh of oof, ".. though everything happens for a reason, at least, that's what some people try to live by. We get to grow from situations like those, I'd say I have from mine. Even if we were the heartbreakers." Their stories were alike even within their vast differences, just as so many relationships were professed to be; both those that ended it, having been divided by landlock and the locks lining cell walls.[break][break]

Aloe put out his cigarette and did a big stretch, releasing the Chingling to gracefully fly about the room. "Do you still love her?" He asked with fascination, a hint of pain in his ceruleans. Perhaps he was not alone in that fact, as he was still madly in love with the person deemed to be his ex-boyfriend, the one tucked away behind walls.

Continuing on the path, a clearing of trees was marked by an intricately sculpted recreation of Stonehenge; that one curious yet unexplained structure across the world, which was theorized to have once been used as a portal between worlds. Or maybe he just read that in a fantasy novel. Beginning to work on a design that depicted such colossal stones, the way it had begun to move was distracting from how simple it should have been to draw. But then he realized that stones such as these were not meant to move, they were wild pokemon.[break][break]

It wasn't reassuring to think of what it would be like to be stepped on by such a Stonjourner, the ground rumbling with each step the group took. But they appeared as gentle creatures of antique debris, bedrock cloaking their bottom halves. "Intriguing, you are." Aloe said softly, looking up at the closest one's eyes. He threw one of his safari balls at the pokemon, influenced by the thought of riding on its back on a gentle walk in the mountains and a wish not to have his bones crumble under its stomp.

The shadows cast by the relics frozen in time were illuminated by the twirling bone of fire in the hands of the Marowak, a completely different array of visuals in comparison to his previous visit. All the talk was true about how beautiful the safari zone could turn at the drop of a hat- and this was much more suitable for gathering inspiration for tattoo designs. It was strange, but Hoenn was proving to be full of nothing but quirks with a tinge of oddity, just the way he liked it.[break][break]

Aloe held his tablet in hand, taking breaks from walking time and time again to work on linework. Soaking in every last detail, he was going for an ancient theme with all of his designs- whether that would be a pair of scissors made of cobblestone to dilapidated castle structures.

The words of Kazimir caused his gaze to falter somewhat, and before long, his allured gaze broke into a fit of laughter- perhaps it was just the alcohol warping his perception, but the man of muscle seemed scared, almost? It was quite the sight to see, all the more amusing. "You're not used to being flirted with, I see," Aloe chuckled, haphazardly sliding off of the rock with his hand gently slipping from the man's arm, ".. or do they do it differently in Galar, with courtship dating and all of that shit? Do I have to ask a Galarian's father permission before I pursue his son?" He was mainly joking, but there was a bit of curiosity there. You never know![break][break]

A Golem in a ball of stone rolled by, and with that, the artist's Smeargle was quick to begin doodling what it looked like with its tail embedded in the grass. His drawing was that of its steamroller move it had exhibited, a ball of debris rolling to its heart's content. Leaving the pokemon to its own devices in his warm and fuzzy view of the world, Aloe continued to laugh as he poured himself another into his chalice. "Was just trying to say you're mad cute, Kazimir Wynter, Kaz for short." He smiled, placing the box of wine back down on the rock.

Aloe could not help but laugh at how ironic it was that his typical refinery was stripped away from him at an event so populated, but he knew deep down that if he channeled all of the confidence into his liquor intake, nobody would be able to sense that his modified attire was not of his intent. "You and I both, cheers to that," he smiled, taking a few big gulps of the drink, ".. nono, don't worry about it. It was quite inexpensive, and I don't find myself wearing it often." There was no harm in lying to come off as a bit more humble than he truly was, or so he saw it.[break][break]

At least the woman whom he had bumped into was quite pleasant with their true first impression, as many would have painted the run in his fault for wasting their food and drink. "A pleasure to meet you too. The thing about artists though, I find there's always an endless fountain of alcohol, ready for the taking." Twirling one of the longer strands of his hair, he plucked a couple of beer cans to create a mini stockpile to avoid returning to the table once the effects kicked in. And they were slowly kicking in indeed, his stomach beginning to feel quite warm past the nighttime chill.[break][break]

"Name's Aloe, like the plant," he took another sip, sitting down on a nearby ledge, ".. now I really sound like an exotic dancer, I swear I'm not, that's so fucking funny. My family prefers eccentric names."

Aloe's heart felt as if it were screaming through his chest, pained yells of all his effervescent longing. To feel this close to someone sparked something in his eyes unlike anything other, albeit the wine indeed strengthened his virtuoso- he wanted to feel this close to someone that felt so familiar yet so different for quite some time, and here he was, seemingly getting what he desperately bargained for. Cold golden and crystalline rings strumming against Kazimir's skin in fascination, his tablet has entered sleep mode, his lips moving closer to the ear of the aspiring champion's.[break][break]

There was no need to hold back, both due to the alcohol providing warmth in his chest and the shamelessness he often exhibited when being rejected. "You remind me of someone who once was quite special to me," he spoke softly into his ear, pulling himself to face him rather than facing the horizon, ".. your aspirations, your nature, your body. I'm a bit selfish with my desires, I know what I want."[break][break]

A howling Fennekin approached, and though it was quite precious, it needed to stop drowning out such a moment with its loud cries. Throwing a pokeball at it with little effort, his momentary distraction soon retracted into an orb of silence, allowing his eyes to meet Kazimir's neck once more.
