"The name's Wolfgang," he said, a smirk dancing on his lips. "And this here's Akuma." He gestured to the hulking Ursaring beside him, its powerful form casting a threatening shadow across the arena.

Akuma grunted, a low rumble that echoed in the stands. The ground trembled slightly under its paws, a subtle display of raw power. Wolfgang whistled in appreciation, a glint of competitive spirit sparking in his eyes.

"Sounds like we're in for a good one," Wolfgang said, his grin widening. "Shall we get started? May the best trainer win!"

"Fair enough I remember the days before it had even evolved." He said with a slight chuckle. Akuma mad a nod of acknowledgment to the ghost pokemon behind Elise, as they had also known each other since before they had evolved.[break][break]

The flapping of wings followed by a squawk drew Wolfgang's attention as he turned his head to find a Spearow nearby. He withdrew Akuma tossing out another Pokeball. "This would make a decent addition to my team, Nala Overheat!", he commands as he sends out his Pyroar. As the blast hits he follows up by tossing his pokeball at the bird pokemon.[break][break]

Moonlight dripped like spilled mercury through the crooked alleys of Mauville Hills, painting long, skeletal shadows that danced at the edges of Wolfgang Lancaster's vision. His leather duster, worn to the whisper of a memory, rustled like dry leaves against the cobblestones as he moved, a wraith in the urban twilight. Atop his head, the antlers of a majestic Stantler, gleaming bone-white against the darkness, formed the crown of his ever-present cloak.

He was a man carved from the rough-hewn granite of the city itself, every wrinkle on his face a testament to countless nights spent patrolling these very streets. His specialty whispered in hushed tones around backstreet bars and smoky gambling dens, was the unassuming, the overlooked Normal-types. Akuma, his Ursaring, his loyal shadow, lumbered along at his heels, a mountain of fur and muscle barely leashed by its studded collar.

"Didn't hear me sneak up, Princess?"

His voice, a low rumble that seemed to emanate from the city's humming power lines, broke the silence. A startled yelp, Mismagius's spectral form materializing beside a figure draped in the shadows, and then – there she was, Elise, the Galarian ambassador with mischief twinkling in her moonlight-washed eyes.

He chuckled, a sound like stones tumbling down a mountainside. "Just making sure you kept your wits about you, Princess. Can't have the Royal Night Watch caught napping on the job, now can we?"

Appearance: Wolfgang is a tall well-muscled man from basically spending the majority of his childhood outdoors. He usually wears some form of face paint that he's made himself from berries of the region. He also wears the skull of a deer Pokemon on his head

Personality: Wolfgang is quiet, yet well-spoken. He has a deep connection with nature and vast respect for his Pokemon. He's calm under pressure sticks to what he believes in and stands by those he trusts. At the same time, he will always offer what he believes is the most practical advice for any given situation, which has gotten him either strange looks or questioning his motives for his responses to some actions.

Backstory: Wolfgang was born and raised in the Johto region. He lived on a reserve where his family herded Tauros'. This is where his father taught him how to hunt and is also where he met one of his closest friends/rivals Elise. When he came of age he followed Elise to Hoenn knowing that there would be more wilderness to explore and to keep in touch with his childhood friend.
