It doesn't take much to notice the internal conflict within Yuina. It seems she hesitates with her every move, every decision being doubted before she makes it. Aris understands that a club's environment can be overwhelming to some, especially when they don't frequent such places. Aris himself had to get used to this kind of chaos when he first walked on marble floors and velvet carpets. There's a sophistication to the chaos that must be learned.[break][break]

"How unfortunate." An understanding look passes his face at the news of her friend. Eyes momentarily glance at the two critters befriending each other, where it now seems that his eevee, Sydora, is inviting the zorua to stand next to her on the bartop by lowering her head and stretching out her front legs. Her tail stands proud and straight, waving slightly in a gentle wag.[break][break]

Aris looks back at Yuina. "Don't worry about me, I'm choosing to be here," he chuckles lightly. "I like to get to know my patrons, they have such wonderful stories to tell." And secrets to hide, as well. He needs to make sure no one's here to cause trouble for Rocket.[break][break]

"Please, why don't you stay a while and tell me your story?" Aris requests with a gentle smile as curiosity dances within the turquoise of his eyes.[break]

Regardless of his frustration, Aris' smile does not falter. "Just a second, sir, I'm almost done here," he murmurs as he draws on a quick streak of eyeliner before closing the stick and placing it on the surface. Aris' eyes finally meet Cillian's with full focus, his hands neatly folded in front of him and his smile beaming up at the underboss with the warmth of a sunny day.[break][break]

If Cillian is the void, then Aris shall be the ever-burning light.[break][break]

"Might I suggest not worrying over such inconsequential matters, sir? That ought to loosen your shoulders," Aris chuckles as if conversing with an old friend, ignoring the sarcasm entirely.[break]

"Is there anything else I may help you with?"

What a tense woman, Aris thinks to himself. It's clear by her nervous demeanour and vested interest in her phone that a club such as this is not her typical scene. [break][break]

Aris softens his smile to something a bit warmer and waves her statement off with a nonchalant gesture. "Nonsense, there's plenty of space for you here for as long as you want," he reassures her.[break][break]

His eevee notices the zorua on the woman's lap and steps closer to cautiously sniff at the pokemon, and upon deciding that she's friendly, the eevee lets out a little yap and wags her tail excitedly.[break][break]

Aris catches a lack of refreshments in front of the woman and calls a bartender over with a flick of his finger. "Please, order what you want while you wait, and I'll gladly provide you my company, if you so wish." He straightens his posture and extends a hand towards her direction, palm open and facing sideways to initiate a handshake.[break][break]

"Ï'm Aris, I own this establishment," Aris offers with a friendly tilt of his head.[break][break]

"Of course," Aris replies with a bright, friendly smile as he glances at Cillian, though the genuineness of the action can be doubted.[break][break]

He resumes wiping the stray eyeliner off his cheek, turquoise eyes back on the mirror. "I think we both know the answer to that, sir." The smile doesn't leave his face. "I had to step away for a while, so I entrusted the club to Cato for one night. Safe to say, I won't be doing that again."[break][break]

Satisfied with the cleaning, Aris drops the cotton pad and picks the eyeliner up once more. "I did my duty and steered us away from trouble." He's aware of the lines he's crossing with his behaviour, but Aris can't give enough of a damn to do much more. The club is safe, is it not? None of this is his fault, anyway.[break][break]

"Are you sure you wouldn't like a drink, sir? You seem tense."[break]

Aris pushes back into Cato's side in the same manner, a bit rougher than what his friend had done, but he doesn't comment on the topic further. Cato might be one of the few people who can call Aris out on his bullshit, but that doesn't mean Aris will stop the behaviour. Cassidy needs to know who the boss is, after all.[break][break]

"Forget the suits, I don't even have normal clothes to wear at this point. I had to go get new ones," he scoffs. Despite Cato's lack of responsibility when it comes to chores, Aris doesn't punish him too harshly for it. "So if you're not gonna do the laundry, then someone has to, right?"[break][break]

Aris flashes Cassidy a bright smile. "Unlike him, I have to make sure this place runs smoothly, so I will not be holding back on giving you jobs to do just because you're new. But yes, we'll train you." Any slip-ups or mistakes and it's Aris' head on the chopping block, so it's best to show her the ropes first.[break][break]

He lets Cato take the lead on the tour and follows behind Cassidy. The apartment isn't as grand as the club it sits above, but it's modest enough; there's a living room with an adjacent kitchen, a bathroom next to the laundry room, a balcony that overlooks the street below, and three bedrooms situated on the second floor, accessible by stairs.[break][break]

"I'd still appreciate knowing what you can do, just to know where to place you for now," Aris asks the woman. His eevee runs up to the front of the trio and pretends to lead them with prideful trots, occasionally looking back to make sure they're following.[break]

He recognises the man who sits with a gag in his mouth, albeit vaguely. One of Cato's, he thinks, and he rolls his eyes at the carelessness of his best friend. How many times has he messed up recently?[break][break]

Aris then scoffs at the dirty insinuation, his smile only turning more playful.[break][break]

"Maybe it is, maybe it isn't."[break][break]

He leans back against the chair and uncrosses his legs, regarding Chu-e with a sly look. "But if you're so curious, why not come check for yourself? Takes one to know one, right?"[break][break]

Turquoise eyes glance at the case sitting atop the metal table. "What's that?" he asks, nodding towards the object of interest.[break]

All Aris can think about is how this is not the time for a handshake, but he returns it anyway because it seems like this guy is about to be his saviour. Better to get in his good books.[break][break]

"I'm Aris, and apparently I have a tendency to attract pidoves for some unthinkable reason. Thank you for coming to my rescue, Josh."[break][break]

Aris eyes the Magenium, Medli, as she protects him from the aggressive attacks of the flying pokemon. He scooches closer to her. "Honestly, I've never met a pidove who isn't aggressive. If you can figure out what about me angers them so much, I'd be grateful," he chuckles sheepishly.[break]

Aris sits on a steel chair in the corner of the dimly lit room, one knee crossed over the other and his chin resting on his hand. There's a slight smile curving his lips, perfectly kind, if not a little excited.[break][break]

When Chu-e had requested a soundproof room, preferably with some ropes and chains on hand, Aris knew that this would be something he did not want to miss. So, he had locked the door after the dark-haired captor and their prey and taken a front-row seat to the show.[break][break]

"What are you hoping to find out today?" Aris asks with a casual tilt of his head, delicate blond strands falling over his eyes with the movement.[break]
