Vespa is convinced that she isn't actually running into a lot of conviction in her daily life, with many just able to convince themself just enough to get through the day - but there is intrigue in the nonchalance displayed by the other that makes her smirk, somewhat out of respect, somewhat because it's an amusing answer to be had. "Guess I have to take your word for it then," she hums in return, leaving the topic at that as it does not seem like there is much to argue in the eyes of Isaac. In her eyes, of course, always, but ... well. She can let it rest in favour of the actual world around them.[break]

Like the Glalie that she manages to catch with some more finesse than one could attribute to her normally, nodding happily over the catch. "Heh, thanks - sometimes, battling isn't that hard ..." Other times, she also just doesn't know what she is exactly doing, but shh. But his words ring something in her head, to be honest, a ... plate? He doesn't mean, like, a tableware plate? "What kinda plate, though? How do they look again?" she thusly inquires once more, just to be sure they are on the same page. It feels a little surreal to think that maybe, but then again ... how could it be? How could it be not?[break]

Similar to Isaac's Togekiss, the Misdreavus is Shadow Sneaking upon an unassming Snorunt herself, only to Vespa's awareness after the Pokémon already went down. Since she does feel bad for it, maybe bringing it home will ... make it better. Probably not. But she still throws a Pokéball as she replies Isaac's question, "me? Hoennian, through and - well, okay, not actually, 'cause my mom isn't, but I've been born here and all. Hoenn truly is kinda wild these days, real." She nods, almost solemnly, contemplatively. Just what hasn't happened here, actually?

With renewed spirits, the group are taking their merry ways towards ... wherever, honestly. The fog is as misty as ever, with wisps mof smoke moving as they walk. Now, unfortunately as it would soon turn out after a while, even the acrobatics works with the Falinks Squad has brought no insight on where the heck they are supposed to be going. Vespa can only sigh dramatically, standing on the same space since moving hasn't proven to be that effective either. Now, what to do ... what do ...[break]

She sits down, surrounded by the Falinks Squad and the Ghosts, trying to think - if even watching from the heights of what they can manage hasn't brought forth any results, perhaps she is approaching it wrongly? Maybe, it isn't so much about the sight, but ... closing her eyes, she tries to make out any noises in this eerie place. Spooky whispers, fearsome rustles, perhaps water running in the very distance ... Vespa doesn't actually know what she is keeping an ear out for, but it can never hurt to try.

Though Vespa needed a moment to orient herself, much is gained by the company of her trusted partners. Although it isn't like she has had any of them as long as she is looking after the Grookey already, they have grown on her in their own ways, especially feeling a chipper yet deep, sincere if mischievous connection to the Misdreavus that has taken a liking to nuzzle against her cheek, a twinkle of mirth in her eyes. And ... well. For as grumpy as the Roaring Moon can get, it still stands steadfast, probably reliable if ever truly needed.[break]
[break]
It's only after a while that she then joins Vespa near the edge of this wondrous place, overseeing so much that there is - her eyes looking especially towards Ever Grande, and wondering whether or not she would actually make it to this place one day. Maybe, maybe not. For sure not if she never truly got a start on it, anyway ... whenever that be. "That's ... impressive," she manages to speak after a while, feeling how her body slowly adjusts more to these heights, "how'd mankind ever built so high? Or is it even man-made?"

Or maybe, that is only her interpretation of the Falinks' sounds after, collective confusion settling as the troopers and the brass exchange what they say. It takes a generous time, to be honest, of the Falinks only huddling together and muttering amongst themselves, but Vespa isn't quite bored by it. Things like such do need time, after all, and if they can solve useless running around by sitting down and having a talk ... so be it. She has other things to do in this strange place, such as - oh, hey, isn't that ...[break]

Gesturing for the Misdreavus to follow her, they sneak upon an Annihilape that seems to be training - and with a well-aimed Shadow Sneak and a less-aimed Pokéball, it disappears in red. And as they look back to the Falinks, it seems like they have reached a conclusion ...!

There is a solemn nod when Fenelle speaks about how neither of them want the Milcery to evolve - while she would love to see all of her Ghost types to eventually reach their full potential, there are others where ... well, she doesn't really want that. "Yeah, I get that - I also have a few that ... well, they're just perfect the way they are," she nods with sympathy, empathy and a little smirk, wanting to fistbump the Milcery, but also not quite knowing how to, so she doesn't. However, the questions about exchange phone numbers actually throws her off a little. She hasn't actually considered doing that with dem, not because she doesn't find them sympathetic somehow, but ... well. It just never occurred to her. "If that's okay with you, sure!" she remarks with a nod.[break]

Pulling out her phone, however, she notices something in the floatings of the water that are strange, distracting her fully from the shiny Drakloak where ... is that a giant chestnut in those strange waters? But ... wait, no, upon further inspection, she notices a struggling Chesnaught, hastily looking for a Pokéball to throw and get it out of the waters without angering the Gimmighoul or disturbing the precarious balance of the boat. Once that's been dealt with ... she nods at Fenelle's words, "yeah ... I guess at least you see different views now and then?" This place looks quite unstable, after all, or maybe, her sense of orientation is far worse than she thought.

Unaware of whatever may be happening around her, there is only the desire to get somewhere, so ... As she looks around, eyes landing eventually on the Falinks Squad that has accompanied her on this ghostly girls trip as well, she looks at the remaining Ghost types. And then ... oh! Why didn't she think of it earlier? Smiling triumphantly as if the best idea ever just occurred to her, she picks up the brass of the Falinks, gesturing for the Ghosts to do something similar as well, "yo! If we gain a little more height, surely we'll be able to see something, right?" Hah ... this couldn't go wrong. Though the brass is definitely bewildered, they are also not quite backing down from the task at hand, looking determined soon enough once more as they are lifted up above Vespa's head. They gesture for the troopers to be calm, too, as each of them is either lifted upwards similarly to the brass, or with some more ghostly forces at hand.[break]

And they are seeing ... they are seeing ...

Quinn is changing her steps every now and then - sometimes floating ahead of her, sometimes floating behind her, always kind of next to her ... until the shadows are lifting a little, making way for the gentle flickers of fire. A Fennekin seems to be practising some moves, putting on an intriguing show. It intrigues the young student, too, crouching down close to the Fire type as she hums, "that looks pretty fun ... hey, why don't you come with me? I actually know quite a drummer to your beat ... maybe."[break]
[break]
Is this a big jump to make? But so what! The magical wand of sorts does remind her of the precious wooden stick that the Grookey is keeping close to his heart, and that could be fun, maybe? Or maybe not ... but for now, she does offer a safari ball to the Fennekin with a grin.

As the curtains lift, oppressive shadows stop weighing on her shoulders - memories returning, the Misdreavus pealing herself out of her Pokéball most stubbornly, floating around most familiarly. Vespa holds her pounding head, not even sure what just happened - not quite sure if she should celebrate the cause, or maybe find it more disturbing. There is still so much that she has to learn about all that happens with everything there is ... Ghosts are truly odd, huh?[break]
[break]
Feeling a chill peck by her cheek, the way Quinn is nuzzling against her, Vespa is soon smiling again, however, grinning and patting the Ghost type. "Naww, don't tell me you've been worried about me?" she hums, adjusting her Wooper mask that now does not feel as glued to her face anymore, not like it's a second skin she can't get off again. Now that the big mystery is quite solved, there is only so much more to do, like ... She looks at Cassandra Kubrick, Thea Naito and DESIREE BLOOMS, whichever of them is still around and willing to stay at this place with a newfound grin, "I'm gonna stuff my face full with ice cream now! Or, whatever I can find." At least in this thing, Pokémon partner and Pokémon trainer are synchronising ridiculously well, heading off to the buffet once more, ...[break]

... quite unaware of a Mimikyu's gaze, wondering.

TL;DR

- Vespa wears a Wooper mask and a mintgreen dress, and she is no longer accompanied by her partner Quinn Crisp the Misdreavus who wears a Grookey mask. Apparently called 'Woo'.[break]
- Misdreavus returns to her side as she regains composure and continues to enjoy the festivities a little more, by storming the buffet and seeing if she can find any ice cream or other treats.[break]
- Picking Mimikyu for the reward!

In the darkness, it's difficult to say that she is really 'seeing' anything, but she does see the three pair of eyes - blinking - out of sync - and there lies the question, the urge to ask how the heck the other is doing it, but an ominous yes echoing in the chill air, so close to the turning of years. It throws her off, makes her blink - three times - subsequently, one after the other. She has no three pairs of eyes, after all.[break]

However, she her 't have really anticipated a nightmarish manifestation (she does not think of him as human, quite to be honest) to know about phones, or maybe he knows cameras and mistook the brief flash of light when she pressed the one/off button briefly as such, has made him aware? Huh ... It's somehow easing the situation a little, eerily enough, since that isn't something she feels completely out of the depths here. Yet. Probably. There is more curiosity and it isn't met with hurtful hostility just yet, so maybe ... just as long as she has a chance ... "Uh, no - I just - unlocked it for a little. Do you want me to take a picture?"[break]

Can we take a selfie? is just on the verge of being asked, but maybe, she should ... test the waters, first. Right. She can be reasonable. (Because it is so reasonable to ask a gnarly shadow for a selfie, yeah. Right.)

It's one thing or another to see - to understand - and to actually understand what is going on, and honestly, Vespa isn't so sure if she understands either of those options. There are inexplicable mechanisms at hand, after all, those that she has barely immersed herself in, always too close and yet so far from reality, too. But it's ... intriguing to say the least, even if her mind is also going to other things than Bug types and how to sync with those (there are fairly little dual types with the types she prefers, after all ...).[break]
[break]
Still, she gives the other an excited smile, "can't say I understand a thing of what you just said, but that sounds intriguing! Never thought it could be used in that way." It does open her mind to other things, too, but even this is a little much already. And as they come to talk a little more about things here and now, Vespa mainly just watching and asking questions and watching the Grookey, so that it wouldn't just get lost amidst the giant Bug types ... something else comes up. A chance to try, maybe, if she truly wants to. Or try something else - or simply ... hm ...[break]

Not all who wander are lost ... and not all that face a clearly higher-ranking Rocket member are immediately defeated. They also technically have the advantage of being two people with full teams, however good or bad they may be, however ... However. Even as hope dies last, when Jon disappears from the battleground, with that nasty remark from the other ... "You. Didn't." Vespa's voice is loaded with something sinister, a ghostly force as the eyes of her Pokémon flash red also, a loathing glare directed at the stranger. How dare they come in and- and just-?![break]

"Time to take you out-" she snarls back at the other with as much poison, venom and toxin she could - however, her words freeze in the air and in her lungs when she sees what else the other has to offer in face of little that remains in control. Perhaps, she truly isn't fa enough in her training - that there is just so, so much more that she has to do. Of course, it would be foolish to think that at the mere age of eighteen, after barely doing anything, that she would be anywhere close to match something like ...[break]
[break]
But Cassandra still fights. And she wants, too, but even though she isn't the target of any of the blasts occurring, she feels how her foothold loosens, being thrown back, down to her knees as malice fills the air, a sickening smile on the stranger's face. "Now, that's more like it. Blast them a-"[break]

"Self-destruct now, Lune!"[break]
[break]
She hates doing it. She hates it - so much. But in this moment as the Drifblim floats to stand in-between them all, she hastily grabs Cassandra and - makes a run for it. This isn't a battle they can win. And as far as she can tell, it doesn't seem like the Rocket member has caught up onto who her best friend actually is, so before any suspicions can appear ... Ugh. But even more than having to call yet another Pokémon back into its ball, hurts the fact that all of their snacks are just gone. Ugh. She will get payback for that, for sure ...

Perhaps, Vespa truly isn't made to be in places where she hasn't been invited first - having a flashback to when she accidentally broke into kasper thaler's home and has been threatened with a knife, she feels a sense of déjà-vu in this moment, too, making her grin rather wryly on top of the sense of unease that overtakes her. Though she sees nobody quite yet, she raises both her arms in a state of giving herself away, not making the same mistake that she did last time where panic reigned supreme. Her phone is still alight, too, a finger constantly pressing on the screen to ensure it stays that way.[break]

"Uh ... I'm not armed, so - maybe - we can solve this ... friendly? Hah ... At least I think we both startled each other, so that should do it, right? I - uh - I'm just a passerby ..." she tries to sound reasonable, stuttering and stammering over her own words as she yet is still in the process of finding the right ones to say. The Misdreavus is only partially helpful, snickering into her ear and blowing chilly air against her hair, but at least she isn't going further away from her, possibly scaring any armed person. "I'm - Vespa, you?" she introduces herself in a last-ditch effort, feeling how her arms already weaken from holding them up. Ack ... yeah, maybe she should work out ...

Though she hasn't been doing it much in the recent year, Vespa is finding herself more and more training in the wilderness of the routes rather than cooping herself in her own room, making ridiculous power point presentations about a reality that doesn't exist. She still does that, of course, finding comfort and joy in it, however ... Like Cassandra Kubrick has been growing in those weeks and months passing, she feels the urge and the desire to catch up, too. And for that, it should be allowed to skip over some homework, right? It's not like anyone is truly bothered and at her neck for her own education ...[break]

"Hm? Let's check this out, Squad," she hums upon looking at a house that she noticed before, but since she hasn't been all that enthusiastic about going to this route and all in particular, it's still a little foreign to her. When she enters, she realises it's a 'Trick House', some sort of riddle-housing mansion, sporting a couple of mazes and other things that participants may try their hand at. If successful, a prize awaits at the end - if not, however ... Vespa grins. "Easy as pie, right, my guys?" she looks to the Falinks who are already giving her a determined look, standing in formation - the young student first, followed by the brass, followed by five troopers.[break]

The first four rooms have been pretty alright and she manages to bruteforce her way through somehow without having to extend a single brain cell that she definitely does have (she does not). However, as she enters the rooms with the Mechadolls and finds herself confronted with trivia questions ... urgh. "How should I know? Can't you just challenge me to a fight?" Vespa groans, scratching the back of her head as the Falinks look pretty bummed out, too. Who even needs to know that ... She sighs, just when the door opens again. How long did she even spend in here? Ugh ...
