But then again she didn't really ask for much for his wonderful services, "Yeah, I agree that the attic the best choice. Knowing how ghost Pokémon work, they'd probably just close the window and lock the door on us so they can terrorize us longer." As she spoke, she'd reach into her pockets to remove a couple Pokémon snacks and leave them down onto a table nearby for their little light source.[break][break]

"Well, then~ Shall we?" She'd playfully hook her thumbs into the loops of her jacket as she'd casually and confidently make her way through the house. Perhaps she choose a bit more of a scenic route, but that was because she wanted to make sure to leave some treats and see what kind of pokemon were living in here in the first place.[break][break]

One, that caught her attention, would be at the foot of the stairs, a little broken tea cup. "Oh my little buddy, shouldn't you be somewhere more natural. Oh, have you ever drank from a sinistea before?" Arabella's initial words were towards the little cup, but soon switched over to Wyatt afterwards. Most people would just stir the drink to make it too dizzy to attack them, but Arabella had other ideas. Daintily she'd pick up the tea cup and saucer, taking a moment to smell it as she climbed up the steps before finally taking a sip.[break][break]

Tried as she might, the revolting taste was enough to make her spit it out before she could even swallow, but still in a way she did give the little ghost a bit of her life energy, a chuckle leaving her lips. "do you want to give it a try?" By this point she would have reached the top of the steps, turning around to offer the giggling cup towards Wyatt while she'd wipe some of the purplish liquid.. Pokémon? from her lips.

Arabella had been in a lot of cat fights whilst living on the streets, so it was very strange to find one that wasn't attacking her rat babies so openly. Never would she have believed you could have fully domesticated cat, but here she was riding one. The light taps seemed to work, so maybe she could give herself a control test. A hand quickly wrapped around the reigns, as she'd follow his instructions and squeezed the Pokémon's sides to quickly catch up to his side before letting go again.[break][break]

There were two things she wasn't used too, one was the way the Pokémon bounced, it wasn't so smooth as a motorcycle and-- despite her trying to do a fast start and end, there was still a slight buffer time. While it's start was faster than a motorcycle, it's stop was slower, buts he figured that was due to it being.. quite literally a living creature. As such, it was how Arabella found herself a bit further than where she intended to be. "Damn, that seems like a lot of work."[break][break]

She'd throw those words behind herself towards him, as she try to make the Pokémon to trot around in a circle to get used to the sensation. "So, do you like.. do Pokémon battles while riding on them? Or do you just teach for shits and gigs?" Once she was comfortable with this new sensation and getting a hand of how to sit on the saddle to accommodate the slight bounce, she'd eventually turn the Luxray towards the direction of the cave. "I feel like I'd have a hard time not getting caught up in the crossfire if I were to fight like that."

Mightyena or not, Arabella never believed in Pokémon attacking unprovoked, they had many reason like nutrition, self preservation, vengeance and things out of their control like madness. No matter the reason, Arabella could never place the blame on the Pokémon, especially since humans --despite our lack of powers-- held more of the blame compared to wild Pokémon.[break][break]

Still that didn't mean she was going to let people live in fear because of them. Arabella's gaze was squarely on Audric, at first sizing him up on what kind of person he was before she eventually just choose to enjoy the eye candy at her side. There was zero shame in the way she acted, especially since she was courteous enough to stop if it really bugged him --or seemed upset by it. Some cuties were shy and unconfrontational after all.[break][break]

"So... tell me more about yourself, Arabella. Are you a dog or a cat person?"[break][break]

"Ohh..?" Arabella would move a hand back behind her neck, sweeping some of her hair forward over her shoulder as she'd pace herself towards him while she spoke, "I have no idea what gave you the idea I'd be either." she'd give him a bemused chuckle as her pawmi would peek out from underneath the collar of her jacket, giving the other ranger a tiny squeaky yawn before settling back into Arabella's neck again. "But if I had to choose.. I guess I'd be more of a dog person. Though, I did ride one of Josh's Luxray, so I guess cats can be cute when they're not trying to kill my babies."[break][break]

If he'd let her move in close, Arabella would playfully reach for his clothes, "What about you, cutie?" Her actions weren't sexual in nature as she'd adjust his clothes, making sure that it was kept and straight. Just subtle ways to test the grounds on how he reacted to her touch, "Are you a dog or a cat person?"

MOTIVATIONS

FOOD: There are 3 things a human needs to live; food, water and shelter. Any person with half a brain could find a fountain, or a public bathroom to get access to water, and as for shelter-- you'd be surprised by the number of abandoned bases left around Hoenn. As long as you don't mind the random Pokémon snuggling up, or in worse cases jumping you. They're pretty cozy.. but as for food. That one is a bit harder.
You need money, and ironically you need to spend money to make money. Pretty backwards, right? That means any source of free food, is the best food there is, be it left overs hand-me-downs, those too good mew-two go discounts. Where there is food offered, you'd best be damned Bella will be there to take it.

MONEY: It's to no-one's surprise that the world runs on money --more than might, more than honor. Arabella is by no means cheap, but she does have a price when it comes to her loyalty. It isn't hard to pay her to look the other way, or to rope her into some ludicrous job if you throw some cash at her. Even without a home she finds herself bleeding money into food for herself, her Pokémon and then her motorcycle. With the amount of money she wastes away now, she could hardly image what it's like for the people WITH homes..
truly we're all slaves to the corporations.

LOVE: If life is a constant battlefield between organizations, freak disasters and the never-ending struggle to survive; why don't you just let go and live a little. By no means does she want to settle down, there are far too many cuties and hoties in the world to bend yourself to a single person, but to be loved and feel love for a fleeting moment is more than enough for her. It's a game some days, especially the brooding kinds; nothing activates those neurons like crumbling away those walls and biting down into their tender side. It really makes you feel like you won something, earned something, and truly feel satisfied before you go to the next game.
Better yet, the next treat.

Arabella laughed out loud with her full chest when he replied to her teasing the way he did, she had seen a lot of reactions to her absurd teasing, but to just lean into it? Yeah, this guy was cute. "It sure did." Still she continued to get dressed, even with her taking some time to dust off her clothes she still wanted to get dressed quickly. Staying unclothed in the middle of the night in an abandoned building? Idiotically cold.[break][break]

This next interaction with him was like clockwork, it'd come to no-one surprise how used she was handling someone else's phone as she put in her own contact. Even going the next step to send herself a message; something short and simple-- just three emojis: a truck, a piano, and a dog. In her life names can easily get mixed up, however moments such as this tend to be more memorable. Then once she was finished, she'd lock his screen and patiently waited for him to take it from her hand, a small smirk still on her face as she watched him get dressed.[break][break]

"Name your price, beautiful, long as I can afford it."[break][break]

"Oh?~" the way her voice cooed was leading up to a steep price despite his additional condition, however despite how money hungry she was, one wouldn't be able to call her blood rich. "How about dinner and a massage~ I can't help but feel my back ache, I feel like you purposefully picked the worse spot." She was really playing it up, a hand reaching up to her neck as it would attempt to rub out this imaginary knot in her next, even throwing in a playful pout.[break][break]

As if they were summoned by the mere mention of dinner, her small pack of rodents came rushing back covered in dust, cobwebs and dirt. "Welcome back, babies~" Her pitch was raised when she was talking to her Pokémons and with love and affection she'd pick up her Pokémon one by one to dust them off even giving them much needed pets and cuddles for their hard work. Amidst their affectionate barrage their little squeaks were taken note of by their attacker. "Well, good news.."[break][break]

Once she was finished grooming all of her Pokémon, she'd stand back up taking her time to now recall each and every one of her critters like a proud 'furr-mama'. "In case you were still worried about some third party, it's just literally ghosts being ghosts. That's good news one, good news two we have three options to get out of here. First, We have the attic, from what I'm told there is a literal hole in the roof. Second, the basement has an open window, a bit risky but also we don't have to worry about getting down from the roof. And Third.." She hesitated, "I say we ignore that option all together."[break][break]

She didn't want to attack the ghosts in here after all.

Strange. The weigh her bike shifted underneath his weight, the warmth of his arms tightly around her waist and how easily she could just lean into him would normally be something she'd do without hesitation. But now? It felt like the timing wasn't right. A woman who lived her entire life being free suddenly felt like she was being tied down, by what exactly? Her duty? Her job? Her pride?[break][break]

"I've been at this for a couple years now."[break][break]

His voice filled in the white noise of their travels, but it left her with more questions than answers. Arabella didn't live what most would call a "normal" life, she had seen trainers young and old steal, murder, save, and live their lives with their hands over their ears and eyes. To her, there isn't such thing as trainers doing ordinary things, just lost people figuring out what mold they fit in-- was his answer this?[break][break]

"Not at all, but no judgement here!"[break][break]

To someone as uneducated as Arabella the environment is something that doesn't change, or at least it's something that slowly moves over hundreds of years. She couldn't understand how a single man could change it, unless he was trying to figure out how to exploit Pokémon to great larger changes, either way she wouldn't have been able to ask him about it since he'd return the question back at her.[break][break]

"What about you, bella? You're just starting out as a ranger, you said? If it's okay to ask, what were you doing before this?"[break][break]

Whatever she wanted. However, Arabella had a feeling that wasn't exactly what he was asking. In society standards the best answer would be to say that she was doing nothing. Homeless, jobless, she wasn't pursuing anything other than her own happiness. It took Arabella a second to gather how exactly she'd answer him before laughing loudly, shooting him a quick glance behind.[break][break]

"Breaking and entering! Would you believe I was a ruffian? Their location wasn't that far off, plus she couldn't help but laugh even more. Was he thinking of her as a thief with a bat, breaking down windows like a rebellious teenager. Or perhaps maybe the classic, dressed in entirely black and sneaking into people's homes while they slept or were away to steal their valuables. By the time she finished her fit of laughter she'd roll into a stop, the rest they could walk so her bike wouldn't get caught up in the frenzy.[break][break]

"Don't worry, I'm not completely depraved criminal, most places I hit were abandoned, expect for this old lady who lived in the area. I used to crash in her garage with my kids," As if on cue several of her pokeballs would light up letting all of her rodents out at once. However some of them would run off into the forest, an excited twinkle in their eyes, leaving behind Whiskers from earlier and Nibbles, a small little Pawmi who's fluffiness was getting in the way of him climbing up onto the smooth motorcycle. "she hadn't changed her code for years so it was too easy of a hit to pass up. In short you're looking at a proud homeless gal who's only had Pokémon for roommates."[break][break]

The motor of her bike rolled to a stop, as she'd playfully lean back into his body shooting him a toothy grin whilst her hands would slide over his own holding them in place. "I have no noble reason, no grandiose goal, just figured I might as well my extensive knowledge for some good.. and score some extra cash on the side. My family keeps growing and they get stupidly hungry. Disappointed?"

During war time it was important to find moments of peace and rest, without them civilians and soldiers a like would end up going insane. However for Arabella, she just took this as an opportunity to score some extra cash, prizes and food. It really wasn't easy rising so many rat kids, and the stress of having to keep them safe amongst all this chaos was starting to take a toll on her; that's perhaps why she found herself at this farm "fair" you can say.[break][break]

even more so, it was fun to see all the different numbers people were putting in, some played it safe and went for the middle, others went a bit higher, and some went lower, but for Arabella. She'd instead just put down the max size, you might as well go big or go home, and there wasn't any foul in losing, most participating got a consolation prize anyways. It was a win win.

Well, it was a start, at the very least Arabella was content that his views of her were positive at least, and most people seem to consider family to be some of the closest bonds. So maybe she upgraded from just the friendzone. However it was really hard to express that enthusiasm as she was standing relatively close to a crouching Pokémon, and even with Josh's words did her anxiety decrease.. slightly.[break][break]

Bella had never taken any form of lessons when it came to mounting Pokémon, so carefully and awkwardly she'd do her best to sit down on the saddle of the Luxray. From a season veteran such as Josh it would have been very obvious that Bella was getting ready to bolt on the slightest hint of danger, something she became accustomed to while homeless, but rather than visited with any form of aggression from the Pokémon instead it seemed to.. purr?[break][break]

"Have you ever been on a Pokémon before?"[break][break]

"Not at all." She quickly slipped in before he further explained on how she was supposed to control this thing, a hand inching its way to the top of the Luxray's head, awkwardly trying to find a spot in where she could maybe pet the creature as a sign of a truce between rodent and feline. Now, the reigns seemed really easy to understand, it honestly wasn't that much different from a motorcycle if she really stretched her imagination, however it was the feet that threw her off.[break][break]

At first she thought maybe it was just lifting her feet up from the ground, but when it didn't move she'd awkwardly tap her foot on the side of the Pokémon, feeling a bit uncomfortable and awkward to kick it. "So like.. do you do this often?" That was a dumb question, he definitely did this all the time from the amount of ready Pokémon he had. "I mean, teaching Rookies how to ride Pokémon."

The warmth of his voice along with him motioning even closer to her was just the right combination to get her to lower her guard. There was something so secretive when another person has their arm around you but at the same time a sense of vulnerability.[break][break]

"...did you know that Pidgeot can spot prey from up to a mile away?"[break][break]

"Oh? But it seems you already have me in your talons." She couldn't help but tease, the true irony of him being an avian trainer while her a rodent; this would be the best roles for them to play. Though it is an unknown fact that rats do hunt birds if given an opening.[break][break]

As he leaned into her ear, her thumb would press into the underside of a seam that ran up his inner thigh, "My, I didn't know you were a song bird too." His words were in fact music to her ears, a very pleased giggle leaving her lips before she start working on finishing her own drink.[break][break]

"It would be nice to talk somewhere more quiet."[break][break]

"Already? But technically our date just started now~" In reality they did both show up early, the time that passed would probably put them at the original start time. Though in a more mischievous turn, Arabella would place her glass down on the table and slide that now free hand underneath his shirt. she made sure to twist her body in a way to hide what she was doing from the public, but from there she'd spread her cold and wet fingers against his abs in a playful manner to shock his senses "Do you think you can hold out for another drink then?"[break][break]

As if to mock that question as she pulled her hand away from his torso she'd make sure to hook her finger on the prong of his buckle just so she could nearly pull it open. Only to let it snap back close turn her attention back fully on her drink, slipping in one last comment before she'd finish off her drink, "But if it's really too loud, I have a bike in the back. I can take you on a joyride."

She very much noticed his arm draped over the back of the booth as well with the quickly glance over her body that accomplice it. If she didn't know any better she'd think that perhaps he was hitting on her, but then again she didn't really know him all that well. The little awkward kid could have very well grew into their man whilst in the military; they really do say it changes people.[break][break]

"Oh really? You'd be surprised how many would say the opposite." There was a bit of a hum to her reply, and in her own playful way reciprocating the possible flirt by scooting herself closer into him. This way if he wanted to stop playing coy and just put an arm around her, he could. Then again if he disliked any of her advancements he should have enough space to back off, she'd much rather him be consensual. [break][break]

"Not as much as I used to. If I'm not flying, I'm taking care of my birds for the most part." "Ohhh? Love that." How long had she heard someone call her by her nickname without being under the bedsheets? Then again it wasn't that surprising since she wasn't the type to want to stick around long enough to become familiar.[break][break]

"My, have you grown to be a gentlemen." Her face would swoop down into her hands as her elbows would find their home on the table. She was trying to get a better look at his expressions all while keeping a sly smile on her face, only to eventually pull away from studying him to address the waiter.[break][break]

"I'll just take a Whirl Islands Iced Tea." While the waiter was around it seemed that Arabella would behave herself, keeping both her touching and attention away from him. However the moment she left would look over at him with a toothy grin, "Man, It's been years since I last had a drink~ Is this normally how you spend your weekends?" Now it was information hunting, while it didn't really matter if she got anything out of him, she was genuinely curious on how an introverted artist found themselves in this situation. Did he continue his dreams? Was this for quick cash? Does he enjoy the life he has now?[break][break]

It wasn't too long that her drink would come back, a quick smile and a thank you were directed at the waiter. "You still drawing?" She'd casually ask whilst using the straw of her drink to mix her drink, in her own way trying to buy herself some short seconds before she'd need to actually start drinking. Sometimes she wishes she was just a naïve teenager, then she wouldn't have to worry about getting blasted an figuring out how to get home, especially during these troubling times.

Little Nicky, huh? She couldn't help but laugh under her breath as she'd lazily rested her forehead against the handlebars. It was a sobering thought to reconnect with someone from her past especially at this point she thought she had burned every bridge. Then again he probably didn't get the chance since he went straight into the military, truly how strange how fate works.[break][break]

Well, no point in stressin'. She'd make sure to give her motorcycle and loving pat on the side before hopping off and heading into the bar. For once Arabella showed up early, albeit by five minutes, but still early and really it shouldn't have been a surprise to see that her date too chose to be early.[break][break]

"Lil' Nicky~" she'd cheerful and loudly called out to counter act any noise and chatter, an adorable nickname she never once called him in any of the years of knowing each other and one that most definitely did not fit him now. With quick movements, she'd make her way over to the booth he was in and snuggle her way up right beside him.[break][break]

"What ya thinking of getting?" She'd say with a big chin, reaching over to give him a firm pat on the back if his back was open enough to do so, if not she'd just go for a friendly elbow jab. "I can't believe you beat me here, and here I was gunna pregame~"
