”Awesome my suspicion was correct! The way he’s holding himself cause seems like someone wearing a suit that doesn’t quite fit them right or a pair of shoes they have yet to break in.” Honestly Adam wasn’t paying as much attention to the two humans in the area as much as he was the Charizards, especially Calcifer.

As the answer was given to him he had placed his hands near the Charizard’s flame to get a feel of it. One of the ways Adam had learned about the differences between zards at least was the intensity of their flames. Whether it be the flame breath the spewed from their maws or the flame that sprouted from their tails. The more experience a Charizard was the hotter the flame burned.

And judging by the way this Charizard was acting in response to the other one the big guy was being shy. ”Hey there big guy no need to be all shy! Look at ya now! All big and strong! You just gotta strut that stuff man.” As Adam spoke his Lucario noticed the particular interest the black Charizard took in him.

Soul wasn’t bothered much by the Charizard and kept his focus on his trainer. It was after he spoke and heard a name he finally took in what was going on. ”D-Did you say Morningstar?!” He almost jumped out of skin.

”Freya?!” What were the odds that of all people he’d run into Councilwoman Freya Morningstar all the way out here. Having a bit of a past history with the Morningstars you could say that Adam respect them quite a bit.

”It’s me Adam Shepard! I trained with your family for a bit some years back.” In the grand scheme of things it might have not been that long ago but for Adam it felt like a life time. ”It’s a pleasure to see you again. How have you been?” He smiled before turning to the other woman.

”It’s also nice to meet you Stormy.” Her name was also familiar to him. It was really weird to run into these two randomly but he supposed stranger things have happened. Soul however was not paying attention to these exchanges; in fact the Lucario was distracted by something.

Something quick was approaching them had whatever it was had its sights on Adam. As it made its move Soul intercepted the figure with Extreme Speed. It was revealed that Monferno had approached them, trying to sneak up on the silver-haired male of the group.

At altercation was enough to get Adam’s attention. ”Got admire the moxie on that Monferno.” The man spoke, pulling out an empty pokeball as he did so. The Monferno shot up from off the ground and charged again but this time at Soul.

The Lucario didn’t skip a beat as it again used Extreme Speed, beating out the Monferno’s Mach Punch. At this time Adam tossed the empty pokeball at the Monferno in an attempt to capture the Pokémon. ”What a crazy guy.” He said, mostly to himself. He was a bit unaware of the fact that those weren’t the only Pokémon that showed up.

Game of Mega Stones [Mission]

Today Adam was no longer just Adam Shepard your normal everyday man, no, in fact today he was Prince Adam. Now what in the world did this all mean? Well the Renaissance Faire had hit the area and much like loads of other people Adam wanted to check it out. These sorts of things typically ended up being a good time so why not use today to relax and have fun?

At least that was his thought process but of course, things ended up going differently. Apparently one of the performers or something along those lines at the faire wasn’t going to be able to do their job and the staff needed a replacement. Adam at the time was minding his own business, enjoying of the big ass legs of meat they always gave out and a mug of beer, when he was approached about the situation.

He wasn’t sure that sort of black magic they used on him to get him to agree but next thing he knew he was in some sort of dressing room getting fitted for the role of the event’s Prince, and hey they didn’t even have to change his name it fit so well. They dressed him in some fancy robes and fitted him with a fancy looking prop sword to match, he really did look dashing.

Now that he looked all fancy his job was to wander about and play the role of prince until the other activities started there was also something about a jousting or battling competition and then a play and maybe something about fighting a dragon? The man really should have been paying more attention.

Never before did he have to do something like this but since he apparently agreed to do this he was going to do his best not to completely make a fool out of himself. Walking around the event was now awkward as hell; at least it was at first until Adam completely embraced his role as Prince.

He was really hamming it up and even doing little neat tricks like juggling swords. They really let him have the run of place and given his supposed “position” it made sense so might as well put on a good show.

Kyle had a good point, Adam should really stop joking around when it came to Mateo. One of these days the guy might just snap and punch him in the throat or something. With that behind them what Kyle had said put some fire in Adam’s belly.

”Hey that makes that spot even better!” Adam spoke, cracking his knuckles as he did so. ”Finding loot and smashing in some rockets. Sounds like a good ass day to me.” Oh man did he hope they ran into some rocket chumps. Since being here in Hoenn Adam hadn’t seen much action but he was itching for it.

”And besides Soul here will be able to pick up on anyone way before they ever notice us giving us plenty of time to think of how were gonna handle any sort of contact.” He’d explain, petting his Lucario as he did so. Both of Adam’s Pokémon were good at body detection, this fact being what makes sneaking up on the man hard if he’s Pokémon are out and even more so if both are at the same time. He doubted they needed to proceed with too much caution as rocket had been quiet as of late, at least in this area.

”So they send you out here before? Heard they like to send people out here searching through these ruins like clockwork. ” From the few interactions with people who had been out here he had this was the impression Adam got from them.

Adam shrugged, not really sure how he felt exactly concerning Kyle’s question. ”I dunno having one sounds like it’d be pretty neat. If pokemon are like nukes then I guess supping one with a mega stone would be like having a super nuke.” Adam yawned, scretching after he did so.

”But I feel like it might end up being a crutch ya know?” He looked over to the fellow leaguer, the man cussing a few seconds later over something in his game, and leaned over a bit to try and see what he was playing. ”Don’t want to have to rely on some gimmick too much to win my battles. What if I get too used to it and I don’t have them any more. Kind of like a patch to a game that nerfs something or a new version that doesn’t keep features from the last one.” And besides what were the odds of him getting one.

”What about you, man?” He’d ask, his attention turning from the game to one of Kyle’s Pokémon. ”Bet you’d wanna use that stone on one of your pups then? A super dog! That’d be kind of dope though.” And from the Pokémon his attention then swapped to the miners themselves.

”But you’re right this is piss easy money so I guess I shouldn’t complain but I wish we had SOMETHING to do other than just sitting here.” He should have brought a game or something like Kyle did. Hindsight’s a bitch.

What a mess [mission]

Adam blinked; the offer of food seemed to put Delphi in super turbo mode as she zipped around the house. ”Hey it’s the least I can do seeing how helpful you’ve been!” Adam responded. The man moved a much slower albeit reasonable pace, no way was he going to keep with her now she was way too jazzed. Watching her was sort of amusing.

He wondered if he got some caffeine in her would she move faster. Maybe she was the type that took way too well to it and would be running all over the walls from just littlest of tastes.

After some time, and with some serious elbow grease and dedication, the two of them finished up cleaning the house. The place was looking great! Both the Pokémon and the people who live here were going to love how spotless the place looked.

”Yeah but we did a hell of a job! Look at this place! You could eat off of the floor….don’t actually do that though.” Adam laughed, admiring how shinny the place was. It was most certainly night and day in this place, he really was impressed, would have been a lot more difficult with just him.

There Pokémon had returned and Soul looked pretty impressed as well. ”We did a good job in here, didn’t we?” The Lucario’s trainer would ask which would receive a nod from the Pokémon. But now that everything was clean and pristine there was only one thing left to do.

”As promised, You’ll be getting paid but on top of that I’m going to make a big ole feast that you’ll never forget! I hope you’re prepared to have your taste buds blown away!” And Adam was a man of his word he prepared and served a mighty feasts not just for himself, Delphi and there Pokémon but for the other residence on the property as well. Dinner was pretty good.

I got a rock [Mission]

Everyone nowadays was talking about those mega whatcamacallits…..stones! Mega Stones! And because of all the hype there were plenty of people trying to get their hands on one of them using whatever sort of method they could.

It was sort of wild how crazy people were getting over these things and the length someone people were going to but it wasn’t too surprising. From some of the exaggerated shit he was hearing these stones sounded like they gave you unlimited power. And to the misfortune of many these things were not easy to obtain, which was probably a good thing honestly.

Regardless if Adam really cared about these stones are not they were sort of handy in the sense that because of them he got a job. Nothing too crazy, just protecting some miners who were trying their hands at getting themselves some stones.

Apparently, the Pokémon around here weren’t too keen on their digging and keep attacking them. It was warranted, anyone would be pretty pissed off at people redecorating their home but Adam was here to make sure no one got seriously hurt people and Pokémon alike.

And it helped that he was promised a piece of whatever they found as a part of his payment. If they did end up finding some of these mega stones it’d be nice to get one’s hands on them.

He doubted they’d find anything good so he was just banking on the money. ”Kind of boring ain’t it?” Adam would say, speaking to his partner on this job. The man was sitting on a “comfy” rock keeping an ever watchful eye out while the miners worked behind them. Boy this was dull.

We got ourselves a Whopper! [M]

Adam had no idea what in the world this Snorlax had been eating but whatever it was needed to be sold in every store around the world because this shit was apparently a super food. This Snorlax was huge, much bigger than any other Snorlax Adam had ever run into before.

When he showed up to the scene a large group of people were gathered around the Pokémon and now he can tell why. They apparently tried a few different things to get the Pokémon to wake up and move out of the way but nothing they tried worked so far.

”C’mon big boy work with me here!” Adam groaned as he nudged the Snorlax with his boot to no response. Hell, he’d take the Snorlax getting pissed off and waking up to try and beat his ass if that meant the damn thing would just move out of the way.

People had places to go things to do and this was not helping. They were getting antsy and to make matters even tenser was the fact that all eyes were on Adam to get this situation fixed or he’d have to worry about more than just a miffed Snorlax.

The silver-haired male brainstormed ideas as he awaited his partner to show up. Two heads would certainly be better than one, no?

A different perspective might help them come up with something he hadn’t thought about. Maybe they could just tie a damn rocket to the thing and send it to the moon or something. Yeah, that’d work.

What a mess [mission]

Adam still couldn’t believe what a bundle of sunshine and rainbows this girl was, even the way she dealt with getting hurt was adorable! This was most certainly not good for his heart. Is this what it’s like for people with high cholesterol and blood pressure feel like?

He’d definitely keep this in mind the next time he goes on a binge of really unhealthy and grease ass food despite how good it might taste the regret after was always not worth it. He’d have asked her if she was okay but she bounced back so fast that it didn’t seem necessary.

Cleaning up the living room was a chore but nothing that Adam couldn’t handle with finesse. ”Excellent!” Adam would exclaim in response to Delphi’s words, throwing her an enthusiastic thumbs up. It really was night and day over there, the woman’s a miracle worker!

It was during that thought that Adam noticed something in the corner of his eye. The living room was pretty clean for the most part the only thing that really had to be put back was one last couch cushion. That’s why it was a bit suspicious that it looked as if a curtain was twitching.

”THERE YOU ARE YOU SNEAKY BRAT!!!” The man shouted, flinging the cushion that was on the floor at the curtain. The cushion wouldn’t make contact with the curtain and the wall behind it but stop a few spaces short as if it hit some invisible wall. It was then that Alan the Kecleon seemingly appeared out of thin air.

”I was wondering when you’d show up. You know how many times we’ve told you to stop trying to sneak up on people.” Adam wagged his finger at the red-handed Pokémon, giving him a proper scolding before sending him on his way to the others.

With that out of the way and the living room and the kitchen were nice and clean there was only one thing left to do. ”We just got to sweep and mop up the floors and then we’ll be good. And really you’ve been great, a real life saver!” After he said that he rubbed his chin, a thought brewing.

”Your payment as to be more than just some money. How about once we’re done with all this I treat you to some food? A well deserved nice meal after a hard day’s work, how’s that sound?” He’d give her a bright smile. Sweeping and mopping wouldn’t take long at all.

Kyle’s response to Adam’s teasing made the man laugh even more. Adam was happy that the guy was a good sport about his teasing, be a bummer if he grew into a stick in the mud. It was nice to be working with someone he’s familiar with.

Makes things a hell of a lot easier and the chances he’d be able to steer them in a certain direction were better too. Hell, Adam was pretty confident if he just told Kyle the other thing he wanted to do the guy would have no problem with it, not like it was that much out of the way.

A brow rose at the mention of a gym leader before realization struck the man, the look on his face reflecting this. ”Teo Tinez is here too? This really is a big ole reunion special ain’t it?! Does he still refuse to wear shirts? All about freeing the nipple with that guy. Wonder if he wears even less in the summer. Or maybe he wears less in the winter as some sort of endurance training thing. Or maybe he's just an exhibitionist. What's your bet?” Adam laughed at his own ridiculousness. The man shrugged at the question that followed.

”Johto’s Johto same ole same ole. Though can’t say I stuck around there long myself, too busy globetrotting and all.” The man responded, removing himself from around the other male’s shoulders. He’d take a few steps away, throwing his hands behind his head before turning around to face Kyle, a grin on his face.

”Now that’s the response I wanted to hear!” He exclaimed as he then pointed to a building in the distance. ”Let’s start over there; I’ve got a good feeling about that spot.” There was nothing that Adam had in mind to base that off outside of the fact that the direction he pointed towards was the path that’d lead to where he needed to be going.

What a mess [mission]

Adam could feel his heart skip a beat at this girl’s enthusiasm; she was too pure for this world! ”Bless you two!” He cried wiping away imaginary tears. Adam’s Pokémon would also join in the fun, the first being his Lucario.

The first sight the Pokémon saw wasn’t one he was unfamiliar with and in fact it made him sigh deeply. ”Alright Soul ole buddy ole pal of mine! We’ve got a big mess to clean up but this time we’ve got help! Delphi and Kit this is Soul.” The silver haired male would gesture towards Delpih and Kit in which the Lucario would bow in their direction.

”You go help our Luxray friend while I get to tiding the living room.” Soul responded to Adam’s orders with a thumbs up as the Pokémon would then show Kit the way to the garbage outside, leading them through the door in the kitchen that led outside.

With that all settled it was time to deal with the living room which was a nightmare. Toys, furniture, garbage, some other sutff Adam didn’t want to think about littered the place. He wasn’t sure if people lived here or Garbadors. ”Sheesh.” Adam laughed as he got to work.

After moving some furniture back to where it was and throwing away some garbage Adam found something odd. A fluffy little ball had been resting under one of the couch cushion. When he went to go further inspect it the fluff ball moved and uncurled revealing it to be a Stufful.

”Oh there you are!” Adam almost went to grab the Pokémon but remembered the last time he did that they had to get a wall fixed. The little Flailing Pokémon was happy to see the silver haired male. This little guy was one of the Pokémon that was being cared for here at the daycare.

”I figured everyone was outside in the barn.” The Stufful only responded with one of its cries before wandering off. ”Be on the lookout for some the residence who might be wandering around here. They are bunch of teddy bears so they won’t bite, gotta look for Alan though. He’s a Kecleon who likes to play pranks on people. Oh and those were just some random Zigzagoons no need to worry about them.” He’d turn to Delphi as he spoke, throwing her a thumbs up and a smile before getting back to work. Unbeknownst to him there was a Karablast hiding within the dishes Delphi was cleaning, eating the food that remained on a plate.

The Fiery Path was an excellent place for training and especially endurance training. Nothing beats being in the intense heat and working until you drop! And on top of that if there were any Pokémon that managed to catch your fancy you could do yourself some catching and get the most bang for your buck.

While Adam’s focus here was more on training if something did catch his eye he might have to recruit a new member to the team. He’d been mainly training with Soul today as the Lucario would sweat more in this environment than his Noivern which made it a bit better for him than her.

The two were currently wandering through the path, having just finished some rather intense exercising. ”Good work today so far bud.” He said with a smile, wiping the sweat from his brow with the shirt that had been tied around his waist.

It was on his body but the heat proved to be too much and it was quickly taken off. ”How about we do one more round and then head towards the exit?” The silver-haired male’s question got a grunt of approval as a response to his question.

All things were relatively normal until Adam came to the sight of two Charizards and their trainers. ”Hey there ladies! Name’s Adam.” He’d flash them a smile and a wave. His eyes went from the women to their Charizards, impressed by the mighty beasts.

”Woooweee look at these beauts!” Adam whistled, admiring the two fire lizards. ”You two must surely be something to be raising Charizards and this one….” Adam was particularly interested in Calcifer as he inspected the pokemon. ”This big guy right here just evolved recently didn’t he?”
