the pokemon waddles by with reckless abandon, it seems to be in some kind of a hurry, to which Evan raises his brow. Its a curious little creature and the water it seems to have collected in its head is going every which way. As it waddles by it sloshes out of the side and next thing evan knows it's simply all over the vaporeon who sits up in his lap with a start.

Though unbothered by the water itself the bright glistening eyes of the vaporeon scan the area for the source and only stop from retaliating for nothing because of evan's hand on his back. "Now now"

The pokemon mellows, and returns to his leisurely acceptance of pets.

Whatever pokemon may or may not have been on the path qill quickly find themselves being ignored as the two traners exchange their goodbyes.

"Any time my dear." though Evan was simply doing as eh does, and feels he hasn't really gone all the out of his way. Thwre's a soft chuckle in his comment as he continues to speak. "It was nice to meet you as well, hopefully next time we cross paths you'll have a badge under your belt as well then hm?"

It's a well wish of sorts as Evan watches the kid go, young and excitable. He imagines he'll fair alright as time wares on so long as the kid keeps up that sort of tenacity with the rest of his endeavors.

Evan turns back down the path with his usual nonchalance, humming a tune as his vaporeon finds its way to his side.

"That it is isn't it?" nearly time for most to turn in but Evan is used to the timeline at this point. Working at the Stray has forced him to get used to working evenings and this time of night is more like midday for him. He's wide awake and alert and so are most of his pokemon.

Speaking of the vaporeon has wondered off again and Evan leaves him to his own devices. A squabble down the path likely being the pokemon's fault but he's not terribly concerned with the matter. Evan is content to let the little water creature make his way back to him when he has the chance to.

Evan's attention is directed towards the kid. "If you're looking to rest up the nearest place is probably the pokemon center up in town. It's not that far off and you should see it on your way to the gym if you want to challenge it and you can always come back to the path if you're looking to train before your challenge too that way."

A small suggestion, perhaps to nudge him in the right direction since it seems to be the path the kid is looking for anyway.

The silence that settles over the forest is deafening in its own right. Evan and his pokemon are still in a state of high alert and every little thing is enough to snap their attention away, as if it might be another attacker. That was something all together new compared to what he'd encountered in the forest previously and even with it fallen he can't help but succumb to the adrenaline rush.

"Bumble." He snaps to attention when Orion speaks, eyes looking upwards to the cotton ball lamb for some sort of confirmation of what he's found and as the pokemon waddles out onto the branch a pair of budew follow him, coated in cotton. It's the laugh Evan needs to mellow his breathing.

"Definite yes, we'll get them down and back to town, take care of your pokemon."

He calls for meg to return tot he tree, her shadow being something they could use to catch the pokemon already cushioned by the clinging cotton from his other pokemon. It won't be long before they have them on the ground with a little coaxing and reassurance.

This time he brings Poisedon with him, thinking the pokemon may want to revisit the place it lurked when Evan captured him. The scene ends up being the same as it was then somehow, probably because the pokemon is a diva and though this had been its home for who knows how long it wasn't exactly keen on going far from Evan's side.

Not when it could be curled into his lap, paws stretching out in a lazy half sleep while contemplated his recent events and endeavors, writing notes across the pages of his note books. Though most of his works have always been non-fiction he's begun to toy with the idea of expanding his horizons. He's a scrambled mess of thoughts on the possibility.

The opportunity arises, given by Orion's pokemon and ghostly hands reach from the depths of the under brush and grasp at the pokemon's ankles and yank. The thunderous thud as the pokemon is yanked to the ground is single enough for the next step while the pokemon is writhing and screeching, the resounding boombursts seeking to find the pokemon responsible in the vegetation.

"Sleep powder, leaf storm." Suzy knows without needing to be told, the sparkling powder bursts from the flower on her head into the air above her, falling in a slow daze as the leaves of her next attack manifest around her. Needle sharp with the slightest hint of a curve they soar through the powder picking it up and caking it onto the leaves as the soar through the air to their foe.

Meg holds tights, her rag disguise rattling at the first of the sound waves to be sent in her direction, keeping her safe as the frantic attacks bounce around her and giving her time to hold on while the sleep powder is brought to the rillaboom.

The disguise breaks and she screeches back at the beast for daring to do such a thing, as it begins to feel the effects of needle sharp leaves and powder in its fur and sinking into its skin.

Evan watches the scene for a moment, not willing to bank on it not making one last ditch attempt at attacking them again.

Eventually Evan takes his leave of the stream and his pokemon follow suite, they wonder through the safari again with no clear goal in mind. At this oint Evan has simply been enjoying his spare time and doesn't even think much of how long it has been until he looked tot he sky, realizing how dark it had become. With no small amount of alarm Even begins the beeline back tot he entrance, only stopping when a bird perches on his shoulder. He reaches up to pet the creature while he walks, surprised it seems to content to stay put as he heads out.

They are at the entrance when he bops the ball against it, feeling that f it is this determined he might as well make it his last catch of the day.

The pup finds them by the waters, watching them for a moment before deciding the small group is not something he should be afraid of. Tentively the pokemon inches forward, closer and closer to the human and his pokemon before finally finding himself within limbs reach of them.

With a small plop the pokemon sits on its rump and watches, they don't seem to react or shoo it away so it lays in the grass beside them. Their little furry companion content to join them in resting and watching as the world goes by. Perhaps it's a small moment of tranquility it needs as much as they do, or perhaps it's just too young to decide to do anything more than follow along.

they watch it meander through the falls without it noticing them at first. The pokemon is only really of interest to him because he knows its origins to be unusual. One of the new species that has been released into the area via the lifted embargo. His actual interest in it is minimal but he knows that it could be a curious creature to have on hand.

His Blaziken seems much more unsure, perhaps even unsettled a bit by the creature. He looks to his trainer and Evan shrugs. "Give yourself a chance." the pokemon nods and steps away, focusing his energy. Deep breaths shift the focus and the boost in speed from his agility. The pokemon shot off, seeking his target with focused speed.

The sky uppercut seemed to more than do the trick, sending the pokemon flying and Evan has to chase after it to throw the pokeball at it.

"How darling." Evan grins at her, though it only lasts so long before their conversation is derailed. It seemed his warning would not go without merit today, because Evan sees the tenseness in the pokemon. His own is no different as her gaze shifts away from the pair in front of them and out into the distance.

His own pokemon leans against him a bit more heavily and he looks at her with a little bit of worry, though much less for himself and more for her. Their pleasant outing really was going off the path it was meant for.

Evan can't help but look back over at the girl and her pokemon, in part because he has no idea what the right course of action to ease his pokemon's worry would be. The shortness of their experience with each other makes for the first problem, his own inexperience the next. "Speak of the devil and they shall appear I suppose?" he offers as a sort of joke, because he can only assume it is the dragons coming out to play.

The whimsicott makes it to the knot in the tree, finding the pair of little budew huddling against the wood of the tree. Neither seems willing to budge and Evan can tell by the look on his pokemon's face that he won't be getting anywhere anytime soon. His liligant would be much better suited but he doesn't have time to decide how.

His eyes snap in the direction of the screech, the thumping on the forest floor matches the rise in his heartbeat and Evan moves without needing to think. The beast rampaging towards them barrels though the growth and trees at an alarming rate. "Suzy, dance girl." he looks up into the tree, calling to his pokemon above them. "Bumble, cotton spore." the whimsicott has already begun, knowing the moment the rampaging sound rang out that the only thing he could do was fill the hiding spot in the tree with as many of the fluffy spores as he could to keep them safe. "Meg, circle round and pin it."

The dancing steps and growing flurry of petals serves to distract and repposition her, the lilligant seeking to take attention off the tree with their quarry in it. The flurry of petals is relentless, a hopeful distraction to allow the other pokemon time to make their moves.

The mimikyu scurries into the underbrush, out of sight out of might. Quiet as she moves around the path of the beast looking for an opening to intercept it. She knows her place in this tactic well: Should the opening come her sneaking shadow will reach out in a pair of hands to grab for the beast feet and attempt to pull it back.

Evan trusts that the other will play the part he needs him to without needing to ask. The rangers rarely fail him when he's worked with them in the past, and Orion certainly hasn't yet.
