Florian croons softly as the Arcanine comes trotting up after his Sylveon. They truly were beautiful creatures. Not fairies, nor any of his usual types, but they just looked so soft and huggable and warm.

He laughs, light and airy.

"Don't worry about it, mon amie." He waves a dismissive hand, the gesture as carefree as his tone. "Everyone is surprised by the weather, it seems! I could only blame you if you were a meteorologist... and perhaps not even then!"

He wasn't the type to saddle blame, in truth. There were very few things he wouldn't forgive, and somehow he couldn't see a man such as Alexei committing any such heinous offenses.

"You stress yourself too much," he adds, fond.

And what better way to relieve such a strain than with a snowball fight? Florian's eyes light up at the thought, and he's already gathering snow in his (thankfully gloved) hands as Alexei picks his own target. Florian is more devious than that; he takes advantage of the distraction to lob a snowball at Alexei himself, though he's careful not to throw too hard.

"I am always a child at heart, you know!"

Familiar with fairy-types as he was, Florian did only a brief double-take upon seeing what looked like a power cord hanging down from the branches of one of the berry trees. He'd come here in the interest of protecting the plants from frost; appliances hadn't been part of the agenda.\

But Dedenne are an (albeit adorable) menace in Kalos, and he clues in quickly.

Clicking his tongue to alert the little creature to his presence, Florian gets its attention and offers some treats instead. Perhaps they're not as appealing as the fresh berries, but the trees have enough to worry about with the freak weather patterns.

"Come here, little darling," he coaxes, slowly leading it to the edge of a branch. He gets a better look at it, now, smiles at the fairy-type and slowly moves a hand to give it a little pat. "I can't be upset. You are just hungry, no? The weather has been unkind." He'd seen how many of the Pokemon suffered, and he couldn't begrudge this little guy his snack. Dedenne nibbles on the treats, seeming content as Florian rubs behind its rounded ears. "I can't have you eating all of the berries, though. Come, we'll get you something even better."

He'd recently been experimenting with baking, at home, and he had no doubt the Dedenne would appreciate the warmth of his home and the fresh-baked goods.

Florian turns at the sound of his name.

"Alexei!" He abandons his aimless wandering and jogs up to the other man, cheeks red from the cold and a beaming smile on his lips. "It is good to see you! Ah, what an adorable ornament!"

He admires the little Altaria, searches the large tree before recalling where he'd placed his own. He flicks the little santa hat the ornament is wearing, his expression fond. "This one here is mine, the little Togekiss. She is precious, is she not?"

Joli comes charging through the throng of dogs, having heard the sound of Alexei's voice. The Sylveon greets the other man with his signature trilling chirp, flicking his ears to clear them of the snow.
