The power of the reaper... A world of black and white. It was an intriguing experience, one that Empirio didn't dislike, but not particularly enjoy. Explosions and death are best lived in color after all. Maybe that is also why it gave him more pleasure then usual when he hunted these specific prey?[break][break]

The creature in the cocoon kept talking about restoring balance, remove life from those that outlived. While it didn't exactly align with the blond man's ambitions, the action of killing did resonate with his soul. Plus, without any clear indications of who it was, except by the contrast in their sight, it gave a certain experience to this chase.[break][break]

Thus, the mad man headed out from the cemetery. Did he have a target in mind? No, not at all. But he did have an idea of where to look. Rangers always tended to participate in dangerous missions. Surely some of them were part of those "Outliving existences", right? As he started visiting towns, Empirio noticed one or two marked individuals, but these prey didn't seem interesting.[break][break]

It was only when he reached Slateport that he found a group of rangers. All members, marked in colors. And it seemed they were about to head out for a mission. Perfect targets. Keeping to the shadows and using his Zorua's powers, the rocket member followed the team of rangers closely, until they reached a location.[break][break]

From there, the blond individual proceeded to execute his plans. Spreading his pokemons while hiding them with little Zorua's powers, he proceeded to murder them with explosions. The unlucky few to survive the explosions would get finished by Arcadia. Once the bodies were collected, Empirio gathered their badges from their vest, as proof of his job being completed. He then set the corpses on fires. Was that a mark of respect? No. It was to ensure they were indeed dead.[break]

Back at Mt. Pyre, the man returned toward the cocoon of the legendary creature. Arriving before it, he dropped the 7 patches that he had taken from the ranger outfits in front of the cocoon. "Returned to the cycle. As requested. Hopefully this restores the balance somewhat." Did he truly believe the thing about the balance? No. But he had to play the role, since two of the remaining individuals could be quite troublesome, with one of them being one of his previous victims. Empirio adjusted his mask as he moved towards the edge of the location, waiting to see what's next.

Well, for throwing her off, that was a success. He had ruined her fun, from what could be heard. As the dust from the explosion was starting to settle, Empirio called his Zorua to use her illusion ability, vanishing into the background. As the dust settled, the lady without her mask was finally revealed... And oof. The storm that followed.[break][break]

Empirio had dealt with cops in the past, but none like her. If anything, it seemed like she was the "bad cop" style, almost willing to turn a blind eye to illegal activities if she had fun. But now that her fun was ruined? It was hell unleashed. And staying here would be a really bad idea for anyone. Empirio took the two empty pokeballs he had and recalled his fainted pokemons before starting to move.[break][break]

But leaving without even a good bye? Now that would be a tasteless action. Empirio couldn't very well allow that. Thus, under the illusion created by his Zorua, he went around the arena, to reach behind Bailey without getting too close. Who knows what that Shadow Krookodile could do if he were to be too close to do something to her?[break][break]

Thus, he threw something at her feet, free from the illusion. As the object rebounded a few times, it landed near her, close enough for her to view: it was his mask, with a piece of paper between the lips. Assuming she'd be curious enough to grab it, the paper would contain information on how to meet with him once again, outside of this situation. Would she follow up on this? That was a story for another time, as Empirio exited the location in the cover of darkness as people got arrested.

The boy said he knew he was a fake. And yet, that didn't allow him to avoid this tragedy. Seems like it was the pride within the commoner that was rearing its ugly head. But seeing his face as he saw his Arcanine lying on the ground and weak... Oh that was priceless. Empirio cackled as he recalled Arcadia in one of his backup pokeball.[break][break]

"Serves you right, little commoner. You tried to chew on more then you could handle. You've left such an insignificant piece of paper and accomplishment get to your head. And now? Your little doggie pays the price. I do believe this will serve as a lesson to not trouble the nobility in the future."[break][break]

Upon those parting words, Zorua proceeded to cloak both herself and her owner, making them vanished from people's eyes while still being physically present. Empirio looked at the fallen pokemon and the trainer beside it before a maniacal laugh erupted from his mouth. As he kept on laughing, the man proceeded to exit the outskirts, going to deliver the package to team rocket.

"What does that make me, you ask?" The man observed the actions of the individual that had intercepted him. Empirio crossed his arms upon his chest as he saw the Arcanine pop on the field, chasing the briefcase. A wicked smile drew itself on Empirio's face as the illusion slowly faded away, his hair turning back into the brilliant gold they were. "I am the game master, little man. Release."[break][break]

The illusion was now completely erased, showing the Zorua upon Empirio's shoulders, silently chuckling as it stared at Adrian. As for the briefcase... As soon as the Arcanine got close, a flash of red emerged from a small opening, allowing the giant creature that was Arcadia the Grimmsnarl to emerge. "Needless to say, I believe you understand that you brought this fate upon yourself. Your stupidity costed you a life."[break][break]

Arcadia's right hand began to glow pink as the hair took the forms of extremely sharp claws, ready to slice anything in their path. The demonic goblin proceeded to strike at the Arcanine's flank, hoping to rip him open or at least deliver a fatal wound. How would the dog named howitzer react?

As the man decided to pull his phone out, Empirio turned his feet and began to walk away. Making sure not to be heard, he called upon his Zorua, hidden in the illusion. "Switch the package. We'll play him." Quickly, the little fellow began to extend the illusion to the package, swapping the pokeball contained within for something else.[break][break]

Suddenly, the man spoke up once more, making Empirio stop and look over his shoulder, his eye turning slightly red in color. He saw the paper of Endorsement being pulled out and didn't react towards it. "And? You think that sheet of paper, written by Lady Goode, will do you any good in this situation? Are they giving out endorsements to the first idiotic commoner on the street to have him go out and act as an hero?"[break][break]

Empirio turned to face Adrian completely, looking down upon him. "Let's see if you do deserve this... thing. Fetch." On that final command, Empirio threw the briefcase with all his strength on the side, sending it a few feet away. If Adrian wanted to recover it rapidly, he wouldn't have any choices but to send a pokemon, otherwise Balder/Empirio would be able to escape.

Everything was going smooth. Except the traffic here and there, no one seemed to be tailing him. It seemed like the form of Balder Schwartz was actually making everyone look away. Was the man that Empirio borrowed the appearance from actually known to be scary? Or was it because of his actions of denouncing Olivia? Hard to say at this point. [break][break]

Suddenly, someone called out Balder's name. Empirio took 2 seconds before turning around, wondering who could be calling upon him. A man approaches him, looking a bit uncertain of his actions. Until he asks to see what's in the briefcase. The man seemed like he knew what could be getting transported, which meant this operation had already been leaked. Time to play it safe.[break][break]

"I do not know whom you are, yet I must refuse. This package here has been requested by Councilman Silph himself. I may have relinquished my seat as Gym Leader, but I still have a duty that must be fulfilled. So, unless thou has a reason to actually seek the contents, ideally a written request from another councilman, I shall be on my way." There was two flaw in all of Empirio's speech: Balder didn't talk like that, something that the man was never able to find out while investigating this disguise. The second point was that Balder wouldn't do anything for the league after those events. But would the man before him know?

"So that's the package..." Said Empirio as he took the cargo from another Rocket member. Why was he here, you ask? Supposedly, Yeam Rocket had acquired a means to power up some pokemons, and this one was supposed to go along for the experiments While the man wearing a red cloak and a golden outfit wasn't exactly impressed by this activity, he nonetheless chose to join in, seeing this as a chance to gain more power.[break][break]

"Won't you get noticed if you wear this outfit out in the open? This is supposed to be kept hidden from the l-" "Zora." Upon hearing his name being called, the little Zorua emerged from the cloak, casting an illusion on Empirio. The man now looked different. His flashy outfit was now displaying a dark tank top and black cargo pants. The golden locks had been replaced by long brown hair, shaved on the sides.[break][break]

Yes, he had taken the appearance of Balder Schwartz . Why take the appearance of a deserter from the league? Except the fact that he denounced the actions of one of the council members, the man had still acted with the interest of society in mind supposedly. And in Slateport, those that saw him would be ready to say he fought for them and not for some stupid promotion. Wearing his new form, Empirio/Balder left the pickup point, going through the outskirts to head outside of town and head towards the destination.

This was the look the blond madman was sporting for this touching "reunion" with his prey. Of course, he proceeded to wear his faithful mask with a voice changer upon it. As he prepared himself, her styled his hair backward, hoping to make it slightly different.[break][break]

Can't exactly afford to be recognized so early in their meeting now, can he? What if there were people around to help her? The man could get overwhelmed and risk having to sacrifice one of his limb in an explosive attempt to escape. Or to get her. Nonetheless, the risks were too great to go in with his usual flashy outfit. Just going was risky but... He couldn't run away from such excitement.[break][break]

Yet, what did he find upon his arrival in Mt. Pyre? A bunch of individuals, heading towards the depths of the mountain. And within them, the lady he was preying on. Following closely, the man and this makeshift group arrived in one of the deepest locations of the mountain, pass decrepit and overturned tombstones. Some tombs even seemed to have been pillaged.[break][break]

And what do they find? A giant black cocoon. That talks. Even better, it "insults" them, saying they reek of death. Under his breath, Empirio simply whispers "As I should.", but kept his composure. One of the group before him seemed to have approached the cocoon, asking who he was. Was it a good idea? To approach something unknown in such a manner? As a precaution, Empirio placed a hand on his Zorua's pokeball, ready to use the creature's illusions to his advantage.

As he said those words, Empirio turned around and went towards Priam, taking the lighter off his hand and closing it. He then dragged the individual further away, as Elora slowly began walking towards them.[break][break]

As their master exited the warehouse, the pokemons began to execute the plan. The Alolan Graveler proceeded to take the Electrode off the ground, throwing it towards the generator and the gasoline that was spread near it. As the sphere pokemon neared the target, its body began to glow a bright white. Colliding with the generator, the explosion happened. A chain reaction with the generator that exploded and the gasoline taking fire.[break][break]

Seeing that his comrade reached his goal, the Alolan Graveler began to execute the move as well, making his body grow white in color before exploding as well. As the chain of Explosions in the warehouse, tearing down the walls and ceilings, a high-pitched screaming could be heard, akin to a lady screaming to her agony. Empirio stared at the firework that was the chain of explosions. Pulling the two empty pokeballs, he recalled his two suicide pokemons and looked at Priam. "Let's clear out before anyone shows up. I don't think it'd be a good idea to get arrested at this point."

Maybe she had done most of the fighting before he had arrived, he didn't know. Nor did he know if she was the "Pocooper" he heard in the audience.[break][break]

One thing was sure though: She was getting impatient. Empirio smirked. "Ass-beating? Are you sure that's what it is?" Was it a bluff? Could he have a pokemon able to fight such a strong creature? Could the man be hiding an arsenal of pokemons that could overpower the shadow crocodile? An army that could decimate everyone standing here?![break][break]

Let's face reality. He doesn't. His "Strongest" had already been flung out of the ring. But there was an advantage that Empirio had compared to the opponent: He didn't play by the rules. And seeing how she acted, something out of a specific line of conduct would definitely throw the Pokeball-Woman off.[break][break]

Grabbing two pokeballs from within his golden coat, the man threw them towards the Krookodile's shadow, assuming that's where it stood. The pokeballs sliced through the sandstorm, advancing towards their target... yet they never opened. As they reached close to the dark type reptile, a set of eyes appeared on both of the balls, and a wicked smile on one on them.[break][break]

Voltorb and Electrode. An explosive duo. What better then these two to spice a fight up? "Boom" was the only command that escaped Empirio's lips before he placed his mask over his face and jumping backwards. Knowing their duties, both pokeball creatures lit up, before executing the move Explosion in unison, trying to bring down their opponent quickly. And in doing so, making the Sandstorm explode outwards and unable to maintain itself much longer. And possibly damaging the stadium and its surrounding. Who knew how much damage two exploding monsters could do?

Since Empirio couldn't see what was going on, and thus couldn't order his pokemon around, it was hard to react accordingly. Since Arcadia's fist was stopped, the hair gremlin tried to pull his punch away, but to no avail. This Krookodile was not a regular one, that's for sure. And that strength... What kind of monster was Grimmsnarl actually facing?[break][break]

The 2-legged crocodile suddenly lifted the gremlin off the ground. Seeing what he planned to do, the fairy tried to cut the hair that served as an extension of his arm, but he was too late. The payback worked, and it did wonders too. The Grimmsnarl was catapulted out of the sandstorm, crashing into the wall of the arena.[break][break]

Empirio recalled the pokemon into his black special pokeball, knowing full well what had happened now. Suddenly, the Pokeball Man's voice rose up. A woman's voice. A wicked smile appeared upon the man's face while a voice rose up in the audience. "Hey, that voice... Doesn't that sound like that Pocooper gal? The one that was mentioned on that latest HNN article, she was in Slateport during all that destruction right? I'm sure I heard and saw her while I was there..."[break][break]

Empirio advanced a bit forward, coming a bit more into view for the lady and her pokemon. "Well now, it seems I was right. While your way of speaking and your actions are crude due to these environments, you are like an unpolished gem, only waiting for the right person to make her better and stronger. Would you be interested, milady?" As a precaution, Empirio still readied a pokeball in his hand, ready to fight a bit more.

As Priam returned, or rather exited the Warehouse, Empirio faced the ghost alone. Without the light, it was easier to make out what she looked like. White hair, a dress to complement her pale skin and hair. Was it worth mentioning her curves? "Well I'll be damned. You look like a really fine lady to me. It's too bad you had to die in this shithole, else I would've taken you as a mistress."[break][break]

The ghost stared at him, almost uninterested. Since Priam had escaped, she had stopped moving. Empirio kept his eyes on the girl as he slowly backed towards the exit. "She's not following you right now, that's for sure. Did you know that Elora lady in the past? If it's truly her ghost, it seems like she's got an interest in you."[break][break]

As a precaution, Empirio summoned his two pokemons: Alolan Graveler and Electrode. Two members of the Kamikaze Squad. If things were to go haywire once more, he was ready to send this place sky high and be done with this investigation. But it would also depend on the boy's answers. If he truly never met the lady Elora, then there was no point in staying.
